Wonderful!!! Good service, good food, great view, what else can you ask for?
Great view of bay & downtown and food was great! Great service too.
We ordered as soon as we were seated, requesting that the 2nd course not arrive until we finished the 1st. We had to wait 20 min. for drinks, 40 min. for the 1st course, and the 2nd course arrive 5 min. later. We noted that customers who arrived later were able to get their meals, pay their checks and leave before we got our bill. All we had was cioppino and fish and chips - nothing difficult. We spoke to the front desk about the delay, but she really didn't seem to care. Food was great, though and the server was very pleasant - if slow.
We reserved at THL to be near the airport and were not dissapointed. From the patio overlooking the water to the food, everything was top notch. Calamari was perfectly fried. Nicoise Salad had an interesting pickled egg and great balance. Bonus for the toasted New England style hot dog bun for the Lobster Rolls. Fish and chips were excellent. Washed down with a SD IPA.
Amazing views of the bay and skyline. A unique building and history along with the great food, drinks, and service.
Food was exceptional and the service was great and the view was amazing.
I came here for breakfast.
The weather was nice and the food was very delicious, so I had a good time.
I'd like to go to dinner next time.
Raymond was probably the best server I've had in a long time. Super friendly and helpful and gave us some great recommendations. Checked on us often but not in an annoying way. The ambiance was great and it felt private even though there was plenty of customers. Food was pretty good as well but a bit over priced for portion/flavor.
a bit pricey for how small the portions were and no bread service Just felt a bit basic and not over the top or any additional perks yet sitting outside and min service required - would have liked a bit more since we are supporting business and bearing the cold to eat outside. Waiter was great. Hostess service was below average View of course awesome
The saffron lobster bouillabaisse was outstanding and being able to make my own beer flight was perfect
Great! As always!
Very great service and amazing view
Beautiful view from the outdoor seating looking at the city lit up at night. Service was great and food delicious. A real treat, and one gains an appreciation of what a beautiful city we live in.
Our server, Raymond was great. The food seemed average. The selection of items was smaller than I expected, but that could be due to Covid supply problems. You can't beat the view of the harbor and downtown.
Excellent. 50 characters is to much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful view and safe for COVID outdoor dining. Love the lobster roll and crab blt. So relaxing out in the sun by the water. Perfect for pre or post airport pick up and/or drop off.
If you want anything other than oysters, suggest you go elsewhere
Good food and great service. Having the bay view was great also
Beautiful views of the San Diego skyline at sunset. Very efficient service, obviously well trained waiters and busboys. We had a relaxing three course meal with delicious raw oysters and the beet salad, followed by diver scallops and the paella with a cream brûlée for desert. A nice selections of craft beers and wine by the glass.
We live in San Diego and are used to the great waterfront restaurants we have in our city. Tom Hams is one of the best and well worth a visit.
Great reception from the staff. Swift and informative service. Tasty food. Better beer :-)
Pricy but worth the occasion and the venue.
A favorite :-)
It was cool that night but we decided to go knowing there were heaters there. The heaters however were not very effective so we hurried through our dinner because we were so cold. Food was good; we’ll return when it’s warm outside.
Great view of the harbor and sailboats
Wasn’t that crowded... which I liked.
Space heaters if you want them
Waiter was very helpful and accommodating but gave me all the time I wanted...
lunch was very reasonable... delicious yellowtail meal.
Hard to decide with the lobster roll beckoning.
Oh - and the world famous rum drink ! I had to try “one” of those. Very strong but very tasty.
The day was sunny and a little bit chilly but being from Colorado I was so happy to be outside dining with such delightful views
Nice location by the water and great views of San Diego bay. Easy parking onsite. The food was very average and expensive for what it was. The servers were great and very attentive.
The view was great we had terrific service and the view of downtown was amazing.
Had an awesome Valentine's Day Dinner here. Great and quick service with a beautiful view. Tried several drinks and all were all great - the strawberry jalapeño margarita was my favorite. Will definitely be going back.
Awesome possom
Never fails to satisfy
Table was amazing! Server was very nice and personable. Had a great brunch. Thank u!
We went to Tom Ham’s for Valentine’s Day. We were seated outside and had a beautiful view of the bay. We ordered French toast from the breakfast menu. It was delicious! As always the service was impeccable! Tom Ham’s is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. We were not disappointed.
Fresh seafood, tasty mimosa and cocktail, beautiful view, friendly staff, we had a very nice Valentine’s Day brunch.
Great service! Great food! I'm so happy they were able to adjust to be able to open! I missed coming here. The scallops on the half shell.... Wow! And the short rib hash... Deli!
Came here for the Oyster's because we heard a lot of great things! Our reservation was at 9pm and when we found out they ran out of oysters we were devastated... But the owner came up to us and hooked us up with a bunch of other seafood and gave us a slight discount. Super generous of them! Food was absolutely delicious. Amazing seafood. Next time we are in San Diego we will absolutely come back.
Amazing restaurant, everything we had was incredible!! Will definitely go back, worth every penny for the food, ambiance and view. Also special thanks to our waiter Raymond, gave great recommendations and was very welcoming. He made the night extra special
One of our favorite restaurants in America's Finest City. And, although the view is a world class draw, perhaps one of the best in town, we also come for the food and service. Even though indoor service is not currently available, the combination of really exceptional service, food and view were too much to resist and we succumbed to a year old need to be back.
After an exceptional Man Tai and a superb glass of chardonnay, we made our choices from two offerings on the special Valentine's Day menu: the stuffed pork chop and lobster ravioli. The ravioli was perfectly prepared, the lobster was sweet, delicate and fresh while the trumpet mushrooms were tender and flavorful. The saffron lobster cream sauce was so delicious we asked for a spoon so we wouldn't miss any. The pork chop was immense and the smoked gouda and ham it was stuffed with were a perfect match with the slightly spicy panic crust. It was served on a bed of delectable sun choke, corn and pepper hash with a delicious apple relish on top that went so well with every bite.
Raymond, our server was very attentive and accessible but not obtrusive. He saw that my wife was a little chilly and insured the heater was closer to her than me! What a hero. He also made some excellent suggestions on the dink menu that kept us from getting something stronger than we needed.
We won't wait another year before we go back to this awesome place.
We celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary over the Valentine's weekend. Beautiful day with a view of the San Diego bay and downtown. Thank you to Tom Ham's Lighthouse for their wonderful food cuisine and ambience on that day. And, special thank you to Molly for being a fun, personable, exceptional server.
We went for Valentines day special. We booked for dinner. Our server was very attentive. It was outdoor seating but it was warm enough with the heat lamps they provided. View was gorgeous! You can see the skyline of San Diego by the bay. Food was so good. We had pork chop stuffed with cheese and lobster ravioli and they were a delight! And of course, ice cream cakes for dinner. Overall a wonderful experience for a very special date night!
Vday dinner it was amazing vday menu!
Lovely waitstaff! Amazing food!!
We had a table close to the water. The scenery was amazing. I highly recommend the place at night. The city view is amazing. Also, we ordered oysters it was so delicious.
Fantastic views, delicious oysters. This place is wonderful!
