The chef should try harder, went with 8 friends and unanimously disliked the food. Good service and atmosphere but terrible food. Vegetarian/vegan food can be delicious, just need to be a bit creative with textures, spices and flavours, which this had none of.

Tiny Leaf has had a load of PR about it, which we came across when we researched it after a couple of friends recommended it. So we went there with huge expectations. My friends and I are Londoners who've been to most of the top end restaurants around town, so not easily impressed. Also a healthy dose of cynicism about the vegan and zero waste credentials. We were blown away. The service was wonderful, immediately made to feel so welcome and looked after. The food was tasty, full of flavour, beautifully presented, light yet luxurious. I'm a big meat eater, but didn't notice I wasn't eating meat because the flavours hit the spot, and the interesting mix of ingredients made the dishes really satisfying. I loved the mushroom risotto, really gorgeous and rich and comforting, the rice cake & kimchi was to die for, curry was fresh and flavoursome... Even the bread was great, hot freshly made with a rich malty butter. The organic wine, which I was cynical about, was the biggest surprise - very quaffable. I loved everything. Can't believe it's healthy, vegan, and you can feel good it's zero waste too. Fantastic space too, full but well spaced, we could have easily stayed there for hours. Great value for money too, considering the quality and Topnotch location. Highly recommended - what a find. Looking forward to going back!

Lovely restaurant but we were not impressed with the food. There were only a few dishes to choose from but two of the three main courses we ate were bland and not very flavoursome. The puddings were better.

It's a nice looking pub, and very cosy, but the service is remarkably slow. We had to ask to see menus, remind of the orders, things got forgotten. The odd part that it seemed there was just as many staff, as clients, but that seemed to create more chaos. The bizarre thing was when we asked if the heating was on, as it was boiling in there, with all the people, and the kitchen working hard, we were told it wasn't. Just before we left we noticed the radiator behind our seats, that was boiling hot. The food was nice, but I can't say it's worth enduring the slow service or the effort to make the trip specially to the place.

Surprised by extremely slow drinks service, not just cocktails where you would understand. But it still has lovely ambiance and decor from when we were regulars several years ago.

I met with friends for lunch and to have a good catch up. We chatted, ate, drank, talked and talked. The staff were excellent and we had a lovely afternoon. We will definitely return and recommend Bumpkin to other friends.
