What a delightful experience! Fantastic food. Scallops, short ribs and pasta were outstanding. Service was attentive, non intrusive and friendly. The fact that we could have a conversation without having to talk over loud music or a large noisy group was definitely appreciated... hard to find this combination in today’s over the top culture. Thank you for a lovely evening!

We’ve dined at Tilikum many times and had a few Wow experiences. Unfortunately this time was for my wife’s birthday and were disappointed by the new menu. The choices were confined and the taste, texture, and presentation were poor. When we were asked if we wanted boxes because our meals were only tasted, there was a unified no. We decided to get dessert elsewhere since it was her birthday and we wanted something to be right for our celebration.

3rd time eating there and definitely would go back. I’ve tried something new every time and the food is exquisite from how it’s plated to the flavors. Service was really great too!

Visited Seattle for the first time and went straight to Tilikum Place Cafe from the airport. There wasn’t any wait since we had a reservation booked, but there was already a line even before the restaurant opened.

We ordered the Classic and Savory Dutch babies along with roasted potatoes on the side. Also had bread (get this!!) to start while waiting for the Dutch babies.

The classic Dutch baby was a little underwhelming as I expecting it to be fluffier in the middle, but the tart, lemony custard made up for that. The savory Dutch baby is a must try - bacon an broccoli pair really well with the cheese topping. Skip the potatoes, they’re not that great.

Service however was really slow, despite 3 servers working the rather small space. Took us 15 minutes after being seated till we could flag our server down for water. Made for a rather unpleasant first impression.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle! The menu changes based on what’s in season, the wine list has a good variety, and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. Never disappointed!

We had to wait a long time for our coffee and then wait even more for the food. Food was okay, nothing special. Atmosphere was very average. Nothing was great enough to come back for.

I mistakenly made a reservation for the night after I had intended to. Fortunately it was early in the evening, they did have a table free and were able to seat us, very graciously. The staff were very attentive and the food superb, inventive, and beautiful. Would love to go back next time we are in Seattle.

Such a delightful experience. Located in a lovely tree shaded square just off Seattle Center, Tilikum Place Cafe is cozy, charming and authentic with a vintage vibe. Softly lit, it offers a truly special dining experience. The cuisine is painstakingly well prepared, flavorful and beautifully presented, and the service is most friendly and capable. For both daily dining and special occasions.

The service and the food are amazing. I’ve been here several times. Every other time, I’ve sat at a table right next to the window. My dining companion and I were able to carry on intimate conversation throughout our entire meal. This time, we were at a table in the middle, very close to both tables on either side. While the people at either table were lovely—we could hear both parties so well that it was hard to have our own conversations. In the future, I’ll be asking for a window seat—because it’s to much better.

Cozy spot for a rainy Seattle night. To these New Yorkers, the place had a definite Brooklyn vibe. The food was uniformly good. We particularly liked the profiteroles for dessert. Only downer was a strangely brusque server.

The Service was terrible. We arrived 5 minutes before they open at 11 am. It was cold and rainy outside. I came with my two young sons who needed to go to the restroom. I saw the servers finished setting up the table and just stood near the computer. When a delivery guy came to the door to enter the restaurant, one of the servers unlocked the door to let the delivery guy in. I promptly asked if we could wait inside at the corner to warm ourselves and if my son could use the restroom. He replied: sorry we're not open yet. We'll open in 4 minutes, then he locked the door. I was so shocked! Even strangers don't do that to people. Where is the humanity in this restaurant?!! If it weren't for my son wanting to try their "famous" pancake, I would have left already. A place with no heart like Tilikum does not deserve my business.

The server opened the door and let us in at 11 am sharp. This is what we ordered:
-Classic Dutch Baby (Lemony pancake) $10 – doughy and bland
-Savory Dutch Baby (with duck confit, sage and goat cheese) $12 – the meat was gamy and doesn’t have enough flavor. I told the server that the pancake was too gamy. She said it’s supposed to be like that. Seriously!!! We didn’t even finished half of it.
-Baked Egg $12 – the best item that we ordered. It was tasty, crunchy and unique.
-TPC Breakfast Plate $14 – just a regular typical English breakfast with bacon, sausage, bread and potatoes (no bean)
-Sides of roasted potatoes $3 and Sliced Bacon $4 – I had to order this because my youngest son was too disappointed with both of the Dutch Baby. We had too high of expectation.

In my honest opinion, I don’t get what the hype about the Dutch Baby is all about. The texture was too doughy, bland and boring. Most importantly, the service was terrible. I will NEVER recommend this place! Bring your curiosity somewhere else!
