Tilikum Place Cafe
Lovely place. Tables were close which usually doesn’t bother me. However, we had a voice nearby that cut through to each of our ears. Glad to see they were on dessert course. Lovely atmosphere to catch up with friends.
The service was terrible. It took like 30 minutes before we had a waiter get to take our drink order. The warm bread we order as appetizer, arrived after we got our meal. The food was okay, not great, not worth the wait.
Great food and great service. All-around fun experience.
Food was less than ideal. Definitely not worth the price.
I highly recommend the Tilikum Place Cafe. The food was excellent. I had the pork loin, which practically melted in my mouth. The sauce was nicely spicy and excellent. My girl friend had the chicken which was equally tasty. Service was good. The noise level was much better than most everywhere else we have dined - I was able to speak across the table without shouting, though it is a small venue and when packed with patrons it got somewhat noisier. Overall we very much enjoyed the experience.
The hand cut pasta was some of the best I’ve ever had. This was our second time ordering the chicken and it was absolutely amazing both times - cooked to perfection.
The vegetarian options were just okay. When we asked if any of the meat dishes could be made vegetarian, the server wasn’t very accommodating. The cheese platter was underwhelming. Not sure I would go back with so many wonderful food options in Seattle.
Reliable neighborhood gem. Great, creative entrees, terrific bar, personable servers.
Small room, feels very comfortable and cozy on a cold evening. The food is amazing: seasonal menu, decent wines to choose from, quality ingredients and creative combinations. Everyone should eat here at least once. A favorite!
We love Tilikum Place. The food is always well prepared, the menu fresh yet not at all precious, the wait staff professional and friendly. A great neighborhood bistro, tho our go-to place before any performance at the Seattle Rep.
My favorite restaurant in all of Seattle!
Be sure to make a reservation, especially for their weekend Brunch.
Great food, ambiance, and service. Denise is the best!
Never disappointed here. Hadn’t been in a while and forgot how good the food is.
This place has the Seattle feels. Good food and small place. Make sure to make reservations.
It had been some time since we had breakfast at Tilikum Place Cafe. But nothing had changed...it was absolutely delicious. The food is always better than a typical breakfast that you can find all over town. Every dish is unique. The service was great and we were completely taken care of. We loved spending our morning there.
We only knew that butter and
jam was available for toast when it was offered to our neighboring table. Crispy bacon tastes slightly burned. Generally, service was slow, but cheerful and good.
I just love this place, and I come back every time I come to Seattle for work. I love the food, the wine, the warm and lovely hospitality, the ambiance, and I never think I want desert but at Tilikum I can never resist (and never regret it). (The chocolate terrine and the profiteroles are both out of this world).
The food is spectacular - fresh and delicious. Amazing service too. Cozy and comfortable space. We'd eat here often if we lived in Seattle.
Always such a treat to be in this beautiful, old-school room enjoying delicious food and drink!
We’ve always loved Tilikum Place Cafe, and still refer to it as our favorite Seattle restaurant whenever asked!
Unexpectedly pleasant from the minute we sat down to the minute we left
April, our waitress made us feel like we'd been regulars for years. Very accommodating and informative!
Our reservation was right at 5pm to avoid having to rush for a show at the Rep. We shared a wonderful meal: baked oysters, hand cut pasta, brussel sprout salad and the chicken accompanied by a fabulous bottle of wine. Everything was excellent (highlights were the pasta and chicken), staged perfectly and service was impeccable. Perfect start to our evening and can't wait to go back.
awesome place to eat. from great service to excellent tasting food, fantastic brunch experience all around. cannot find anything to complain about even if i try.
Whenever we're in Seattle, this place is the place we always go. We love the food and the service.
This has been a favorite restaurant of ours for a long time. Enjoyed dinner Sunday evening after Cinderella at McCall Hall. My wife and I shared a small salad and the hand cut pasta and then the special for the evening was Halibut. Service is friendly and attentive without being too intrusive. Food is always well seasoned and prepared. We love the vibe of this place and are planning to return soon for brunch... amazing every time!
We have come here for years and have never been disappointed. Our favorite restaurant.
I love this place - cozy, delicious, with a great vibe. Staff are wonderful and accommodating!
We have enjoyed Tillkum for the past few years, and this time it seemed they really had a dynamite menu. We had many excellent choices for each course, including an excellent bean salad with goat cheese and baked oysters for apps to lamp chops, halibut, and mushroom lasagna for mains. And they got us out to theater in plenty of time. Great job.
The food was delicious and the service was great! It my favorite place to eat!
Great meal. Great Service. Not huge portions.
The food, atmosphere and service were fantastic. Our server made certain we would make it to our show at the 5th Avenue on time! Great evening.
We were greeted graciously, and helped to our table.
Our server somehow lost our ticket, and after 25 minutes came to us to take our order of soup and savory tart again. The soup then came out right away, and the tart a few minutes later.
When we were ready for our check, I tried to flag down our server who was standing behind the counter chatting with another server. When we were ready to pay, I again tried to flag her down, waving at her. Other patrons in the restaurant were amused at my attempts.
Finally, I stood up to leave and then she came by to take the payment.
We weren't in a hurry, but didn't expect such a simple lunch to take 1.5 hours.
Very interesting menu, however I think they were heavy-handed on the salt.
Get the French onion soup. It’s the best I’ve ever had
we have eaten at tilikum place many times over the past 15 years and each and every time it has been outstanding food with wonderful wait-staff. would love to have gone more often - it is one of the things we shall miss most when we leave seattle in two weeks.
The Dutch baby lives up to the hype. We tried the savory with bacon, broccoli, and Flagship beecher’s cheese. It was sublime, and we will definitely return for this crave-worthy brunch item. Staff was charming and welcoming. Super experience.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Went there for the Dutch Babies and we weren't disappointed. Had the classic; the outside is cirspy and fluffy. It had a quite dense middle so it was more filling than expected but it was lovely! The bacon on the side was nice and crispy and the homemade sausage were amazing too. Reccomend the bread as well, it was so fresh! If we had more time and Seattle we would of loved to come back and try the other foods on the menu.
One of my favorite restaurants!! I always want my birthday dinner here. The pan seared chicken is scrumptious. The kids ordered something else (against my advice) but once they had a bite of my chicken they had to switch. It's just an amazing dish with crispy skin, an amazing sauce and tender perfectly cooked Yukon gold potatoes. The place has a homey feel and the service is always great. Highly recommend for brunch as well. Would come more often if we lived a little closer.
Best brunch I’ve ever had! The Pumpkin cream cheese Dutch baby was incredible!
I go there monthly. It is always friendly and welcoming. The food is wonderful, as is the waitstaff. It is crowded most every night, so it is best to call ahead, unless you are solo.
