Tilikum Place Cafe
Whenever we're in Seattle, this place is the place we always go. We love the food and the service.
This has been a favorite restaurant of ours for a long time. Enjoyed dinner Sunday evening after Cinderella at McCall Hall. My wife and I shared a small salad and the hand cut pasta and then the special for the evening was Halibut. Service is friendly and attentive without being too intrusive. Food is always well seasoned and prepared. We love the vibe of this place and are planning to return soon for brunch... amazing every time!
We have come here for years and have never been disappointed. Our favorite restaurant.
I love this place - cozy, delicious, with a great vibe. Staff are wonderful and accommodating!
We have enjoyed Tillkum for the past few years, and this time it seemed they really had a dynamite menu. We had many excellent choices for each course, including an excellent bean salad with goat cheese and baked oysters for apps to lamp chops, halibut, and mushroom lasagna for mains. And they got us out to theater in plenty of time. Great job.
The food was delicious and the service was great! It my favorite place to eat!
Great meal. Great Service. Not huge portions.
The food, atmosphere and service were fantastic. Our server made certain we would make it to our show at the 5th Avenue on time! Great evening.
We were greeted graciously, and helped to our table.
Our server somehow lost our ticket, and after 25 minutes came to us to take our order of soup and savory tart again. The soup then came out right away, and the tart a few minutes later.
When we were ready for our check, I tried to flag down our server who was standing behind the counter chatting with another server. When we were ready to pay, I again tried to flag her down, waving at her. Other patrons in the restaurant were amused at my attempts.
Finally, I stood up to leave and then she came by to take the payment.
We weren't in a hurry, but didn't expect such a simple lunch to take 1.5 hours.
Very interesting menu, however I think they were heavy-handed on the salt.
Get the French onion soup. It’s the best I’ve ever had
we have eaten at tilikum place many times over the past 15 years and each and every time it has been outstanding food with wonderful wait-staff. would love to have gone more often - it is one of the things we shall miss most when we leave seattle in two weeks.
The Dutch baby lives up to the hype. We tried the savory with bacon, broccoli, and Flagship beecher’s cheese. It was sublime, and we will definitely return for this crave-worthy brunch item. Staff was charming and welcoming. Super experience.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Went there for the Dutch Babies and we weren't disappointed. Had the classic; the outside is cirspy and fluffy. It had a quite dense middle so it was more filling than expected but it was lovely! The bacon on the side was nice and crispy and the homemade sausage were amazing too. Reccomend the bread as well, it was so fresh! If we had more time and Seattle we would of loved to come back and try the other foods on the menu.
One of my favorite restaurants!! I always want my birthday dinner here. The pan seared chicken is scrumptious. The kids ordered something else (against my advice) but once they had a bite of my chicken they had to switch. It's just an amazing dish with crispy skin, an amazing sauce and tender perfectly cooked Yukon gold potatoes. The place has a homey feel and the service is always great. Highly recommend for brunch as well. Would come more often if we lived a little closer.
Best brunch I’ve ever had! The Pumpkin cream cheese Dutch baby was incredible!
I go there monthly. It is always friendly and welcoming. The food is wonderful, as is the waitstaff. It is crowded most every night, so it is best to call ahead, unless you are solo.
Always the best
An amazing place all around. Food was great and service was too. Next time I’m back in Seattle I’ll be going back for sure.
Very nice place with a small menu choices but food was very good.
Loved the wine list and the French Onion Soup was divine. all of it was delicious. So full I didn't get dessert, next time for sure.
This is one of the restaurants that never disappoints. The baked oysters are amazing and I never eat baked oysters. Must try
Get here early. Amazing selection of fantasticly made dishes. This place is finna woke.
AMAZING! Right down to the chocolate sauce for the profiteroles. Thank you, THANK YOU, Thank you!
Tilikum Place Cafe is a gem. We've been going there for years and always enjoy their tried and true dishes, like the roast chicken (seriously the best in the city), along with their daily specials. Ba and her crew are so warm and inviting...it almost feels like you're eating in someone's home (in a good way). Love this restaurant, chef/owner, and crew!
Been a few years so was very pleasantly surprised; food quality was outstanding. Service accommodated multiple reservation changes gracefully. Great value and ambiance- we’ll be back.
This place is fantastic. Definitely get a reservation, and far in advance!! We had the sweet dutch baby and the baked eggs. Both were fabulous! Would very much recommend, and go back!
Tilikum was my favorite restaurant we ate at during our weekend trip to Seattle. When I return, I will dine here for most of our meals.
Trendily eclectic menu. Very busy place, attesting to its quality. Waiters looked overworked. One of them had a bit of an attitude. All in all, a neighbourhood gem.
The Tilikum Place Café is a must visit every time I come to Seattle for business. The food is excellent, the wine list is great and prices are reasonable.
Visiting Seattle from NY. Came here with my wife and 4 couples last week and loved it so much came back again. Chicken is amazing as is the Halibut and black cod.
Everything is first-rate!
Have eaten here previous occasions when in Seattle. Had a chance to bring my wife and daughter and they loved it. Highly recommend it.
wonderful food, very accommodating with small children and food allergies.
The place is overrated. I had to book 20 days ago to get a spot but today the place was half-empty (at least the 30 minutes when I was there at around 10am).
Food (i.e., omelet) was okay, but nothing spectacular. Definitely on the expensive side for what it was.
I also ordered a freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice, but the waitress just took a bottle from under the counter and filled up my glass. I guess freshly-squeezed means something else here.
The worst part was that service: At the end of my stay, I payed by providing a 20% tip (although the service was far from it). Nevertheless, when paying the waitress looked at the money and the bill in front me and looked utterly disgusted while she visible moved her head in denial. This felt totally unprofessional, and frankly I'm not sure why she behaved this way. Wasn't a 20% tip enough for her?
Waitress a little snippy by the end of the evening.
Yes hi we were very happy with this restaurant it’s a shame we were leaving the next day on our trip around Canada and Alaska, The chef , waitress’s and staff were all good, food was excellent and atmosphere was good also.
Always an outstanding experience.
We had an amazing meal - Black Cod and Halibut were both great. This is my go-to restaurant for a great meal. There is a great selection of Manhattans to start with and the staff is great. The food never disappoints and the wines by the glass are nice selections.
Great place to eat! Their blackberry jam was the best!
