Tilikum Place Cafe
Fantastic as always. Love the brown butter pasta. The halibut was cooked perfectly.
We always like to try local restaurants when we travel and Tilikum Place was a great find. The tables around us all seemed to be groups of friends meeting for dinner and having a good time. I had the Halibut and the Mrs. had the duck. Both were excellent. The service was also very good.
One of my favorite places in all of Seattle... it’s a gem!
Pasta appetizer and the stone fruit salad were off-the-chart good.
Great service, great food and loved the ambience. Would highly recommend!
I don’t know which is better, the food or the service. Both are fantastic!
Food was great! Service was outstanding. Really liked the BLT salad and special salad with stone fruit, smoked mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes. The special Halibut entree was spot on and the roasted chicken dish was done to perfection--crispy skin and moist on the inside. Have tried brunch/lunch (still good) but definitely would recommend dinner as the best choice for this restaurant!!
The ambiance, food, service and wine selection were top notch! I love this little neighborhood gem.
love the place, from the broiled oysters to the pasta and pan fried chicken (and we never order chicken out)
Loved !! We’re from Chicago and have a little different version of the Dutch pancake. We loved this version. The coffee was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive.
First of all, the food was great.
However we waited 40mins for our food to come. I also found the people who ordered later than us got their food before us, this sadden us quite a bit. I purposely ordered our food ahead of 8 people, because I knew the food will be slow but still they prioritize other people.
The menu was new daily and they have local specialties that you would not find elsewhere. Location is not friendly to parking - very limited in the entire area of Seattle.
Highly recommend the Dutch pan cakes
If I could give zero stars it would be more appropriate.
We did actually get a table however, that was it!
Our waiter had a large party he clearly was not prepared for and that left us with no service at all. We asked, after 30 minutes, for a different server to take a drink order, she refused! At that point we left for Ruth Chris and had a lovely meal.
We were in Seattle for just one day and picked this restaurant from Trip Advisor. There wasn’t anything bad to report, but there wasn’t anything out of the ordinary to report either except the price. Serving sizes were average to small. We had appetizers elsewhere, had we not done that we would not have been satisfied with the amount of food we had, especially at the up-price.
Best food i’ve Had eating out in a long time!!Service helpful and friendly
Very creative menu and outstanding service. Conveniently located steps from the Seattle Space Needle. Don’t miss it!
We were recommended Tilikum Place Café by the owner of the apartment we were renting nearby. We booked a table on line as there were five of us and the reservation and booking was easy. The welcome at the restaurant was really nice and the service throughout the evening very good. The choice of wine and beers was more than enough to support the food on the menu. We had a non meat eater and a vegetarian in our group and there was plenty of choice. The food was the star of the evening and everyone had only good words to describe their food. If I have one slight criticism is that it was about 40% more expensive than similar places in Seattle, but the food was very good
Always fantastic. My favorite restaurant in Seattle!
Food was excellent. Service was excellent as well. You must make a reservation ahead of time as walk in diners will not get seated as seating area is small. Worth making the reservation.
Our server was fantastic. We were from out of town and she was extremely calm, confident and knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections. Also very helpful with the dessert selection.
Food was excellent - especially the pasta appetizer! Service is friendly and helpful. We went pre-Opera and they were very good at watching the time for us so we didn’t have to. Love this place!
Great spot for brunch. You have to try their Dutch Babies which they are known for. It takes about 20 min to make so I would advise you to decide before you get there if you want to order it. Then you can tell the server when they take your drink orders, that way it will come out hopefully closer to the time everyone else gets their food (^_-)
Good place to go if you have a reservation and are looking for a simple lunch. We had 11am reservation and finished up our "quick" lunch about 12:15. Food was decent, our Tilikum fry up lunch plate had A LOT of beans. We were checked out twice by our waitress voluntarily, 3rd time, we had been sitting staring at empty plates for about 10 minutes and finally had to flag down another waiter to grab our waitress.
Food is nothing spectacular either.
Outstanding as always.
Food, ambiance was ok. Our waiter was okay but the waitress that floated around and assisted was excellent. Overall I was expecting more after reading all the reviews.
A delicious meal and authentic atmosphere. The service is attentive and sincere, but not too much. The heaping mixed greens were amazing, the hand cut pasta with sage butter is a favorite and always incredible. The chicken is truly sublime. Extremely accomodating and flexible. A memorable experience for sure.
Exceptional food....and we’re visiting from ground zero of gastronomy... (San Francisco)...highly recommend searching this out for dinner!! We’ll b back next time we visit Seattle....Bon appetite👌🏼
Great food, especially the sage pasta. I had very good time and will definitely return soon. Thank you
I had low expectations looking at previous reviews and picitres of the food. I can now say wow I know why people LOVE and talk about this place. You have to try it out. Makes reservations! It’s a must
Truly a gem in a very competitive market. The food quality was top notch along with an excellent service staff.
Book early, not an easy reservation to obtain.
Went here for a birthday breakfast! It was phenomenal, such a good location a cute atmosphere
Once again, great food and great service!! This place is so consistent. You can always expect a fantastic experience. Chef is so creative in her use of fresh local ingredients. We always find something new and delicious every time. Highly recommended!!
The food is fabulous.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality and unique flavors in our dishes. Ordered multiple appetizers (hand cut pasta and fig & goat cheese tart), all were very good. Also had the stone fruit (heirloom tomatoes)
Wife's vegan main course was a little one note for me, but, she enjoyed the smoked eggplant soufflé. I very much enjoyed the Pan Seared Chicken. Seems to be a favorite. I saw a lot of chicken dishes being served. Did the sautéed greens - ok.
We shared their home made ice cream (honey-nut) good but sweet. Did well with the French press coffee.
Will come again soon.
Great food, good portions, friendly staff.
Within walking distance of Seattle Center, we took a break from sight seeing and had a wonderful brunch. Unfortunately, not open for breakfast during the weekdays.
Food arrived cold and cold Eggs Benedict are pretty darn gross. The coffee saucer was dirty. Service was inattentive and aloof. Coffee was tasty though, as was the sweet Dutch baby. I've been here before and sometimes it's been great, other times really disappointing. Unfortunately this time, when it was not too good, was my birthday brunch.
Great service and appreciated never feeling rushed although we took our time with dinner. Most of the food was great. Halibut in particular was super tasty, but don't skip trying the pate - some of the best I've had locally. King oyster mushrooms and bavette steak was the one so-so thing we ordered. Both parts were tough and chewy. Overall though, a really nice evening and worth return trips.
