Amazing food, superb service.
The food is excellent as usual, and the service is very friendly!
Reminiscent of a good European neighborhood restaurant!!
I can only recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food. We are very fortunate to have this great Italian restaurant in our neighborhood.
My wife and I are frequent visitors at Tigelleria. We enjoy the food. Tonight we had the Octopus Carpaccio, which is thinly sliced octopus with diced potato, grape tomatoes, green beans, in a vinaigrette. Lovely seafood taste accentuated by the fresh vegetables and vinaigrette. I had the meatballs spaghetti. The meatballs have enough binder to be tender, but are still meaty. The sauce is a bit spicy, with some red pepper flake, and the pasta is perfect. My wife had the Chicken Marsala. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the marsala sauce with mushrooms was lovely, with just a bit of sweetness you expect from Marsala. It was served with some mashed potatoes, which complimented the dish well. The service is always great. Everyone from the owner, sommelier, to the wait staff are focused on making sure you enjoy. Our favorite Italian in the Bay Area!
Way too loud inside. Our previous experiences it was much softer. Great place. Great staff. Go on a weeknight and avoid the ear splitting noise. Much better when it’s quieter so you can hear your date
Great food and service. Imaginative organic menu with many good choices.
Great variety and wine list. Consistently excellent
Great organic food restaurant. Everything is top quality and staff is very experienced.
Previously the food was really good. On our most recent visit the food was tasteless.
Excellent and authentic food served by amazing people.
Cozy ambience, helpful, courteous and friendly staff, tasty food. My only concern is the occasional noise at the bar. It was kind of a surprise how those fold would occasionally have loud outbursts. That’s normal in a bar but not in a small restaurant.
The food is delicious and made with good ingredients; it was all rich and none of it was filler-type food. Even the bread is amazing, baked fresh in pancake form. So good!
Great dinner with the 'rents. Everyone was pleased with the food (tho the bruschetta was HOT with garlic). The short rib was amazing as was the sirloin. Great food and wonderful dining experience!
I was super excited when I saw the reviews for this place. The bruschetta was yummy, but the lasagna came in a bowl and was liquid like soup with barely any noodles. I had a bit of a cold so I can't speak as much to the flavor, but the consistency was similar to a can of refried beans. I wanted to like it and maybe I'll go back to try another dish when I have my taste buds at 100%. My other half ordered a beef pasta and he enjoyed his meal so we will give it another shot.
Great food and service...as always.
Great as always!
Everything was excellent. Just one suggestion to the owner: please clean dust in the niches and from the items in the niches.
I love this restaurant. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. I try to come here for all my special occasions!
Great food, great service. I will be coming back again in the future.
Tigelleria has been a favorite for a long time due to the interesting, organic, every changing menu. We were celebrating a birthday with a party of 4 and we had a great time, enjoyed the meal, the wine and the desert. Highly recommend.
Great food and service. A bit on the loud side but still fabulous.
We've been a few times over the years, and have to say this visit was disappointing. The food was OK, but not memorable. When we go out to dinner, we're looking for a food experience we cannot get at home, and this one did not measure up. Also, it was way over the top on price for the quality of the food. In addition, the wine list is WAY over priced. If you do go there, we suggest you take your own wine and pay the corkage.
Excellent! One of our favorite restaurants in the Bay Area!
Great food and great service! The atmosphere is great. Not a place for kids for ideal for a romantic dinner.
Amazing as always.
Beautiful dinner in a lovely setting! We felt so cared for.
The food, staff and atmosphere are outstanding. We've been coming here for a few years now and it's one of our favorites. Everything about it is exceptional. We love the Burrata salad, the salmon and all the homemade pastas.
Wonderful meal !
Good food. Pleasant atmosphere. Attentive staff. An old school local neighborhood atmosphere that is very appealing in this age of “curated experiences”. The wine was a very pleasant recommendation by the waiter but the wine list in general is overpriced, with very few values, for such a restaurant. Consider providing your own wine.
Unknown reason for entree delay.
New Year’s Eve
There have been gnats flying around the past few times I’ve been there over the past few years. Check the planters or something. They have to come from somewhere.
Everything was as tasty as remembered when we lived in San Jose. Never miss a chance to dine here when visiting now. Staff is so friendly and food delicious. A true Gem one must try. Transports you to Italy!!!
A bit pricey, but understandable, given the high-quality organic ingredients, decor and ambiance.
Meals are delicious combinations of flavors; appetizers as well. It's apparent there's a savvy, experienced chef in the kitchen. But I wish portions were a tad larger, for the price. For example, the mixed seafood grill had only a very small piece of salmon (didn't taste fresh, but frozen), 2 scallops, and 3 prawns. Served with a zesty arugula salad and roasted potatoes, surely not worth $42.00. (!)
Servers are superb, friendly, and knowledgable. We will return, but probably only for lunches.
This is a nice neighborhood Restaurant with good food and nice service.
Holiday dinner with family
Such a wonderful atmosphere ! Great service and the food NEVER disappoints! The only problem is deciding what to order! It’s all good.
The food was delicious, so much flavor. Service was goo.
Great food and nice setting.
This is still the best Italian restaurant in Silicon Valley. Owner/Executive Chef Elisabetta Benetollo has crafted a menu that has perfected al dente pasta, slow braised short ribs, delicious carefully sourced cheeses and meats, and a thick and rich hazelnut mousse that is worth every calorie. Venetian in origin but universal in appeal, this very noisy restaurant melts away as a slice of smoke cheese hits your palate. As a classic film, this time “Roman Holiday, is projected on the wall next to the bar, it’s hard not to love Italy as much as Chef Benetollo and her restaurant does. This is always my first recommendation for an anniversary, small birthday dinner, or date in Silicon Valley. Bellissima!
