We were on a time clock to get to a movie and the server accommodated us perfectly. I also have food allergies, and he was flexible and helpful. It was a tad noisy due to a large party, so that made it difficult to hear my dinner partner. But it was an excellent meal and I will be back.
Lovely food and ambience. Fun and different vibe - in a good way- than the usual restaurant experience.
Tigerella is our go to for a special date night. Their food is healthy and delicious. The pasta is fresh and delicious. You really feel the love in their food. We are always satisfied with the delicious creativity they bring to classic dishes.
Gets really noisy when it is busy. Makes it hard to talk. Food is delicious and staff is nice.
Another wonderful experience...excellent food, attentive service...absolutely love this place!
Made a highly anticipated reservation for our anniversary at Tigelleria using my $50 Open Table reward certificate after hearing about it for some time. The first shock was the menu which listed a completely different set of dishes and prices than what was listed for lunch on their Open Table website, almost 2X-3X more. So we had to cut down the quantity of our order.
Whatever food we did eat was excellent and being early arrivals with just 1 other table occupied, we enjoyed the first 30 mins and service was nice and friendly. After that, as more folks arrived, the service began to decline. There was just 1 waiter for the entire restaurant, and he was also performing the arrival host and cashier services! So the last hour began to drag as we awaited attention with long gaps in service (he mentioned he was too busy even to take our photograph). Maybe just an off day for them but it (along with the Open Table website gaffe) put a dent in our special day.
The food was wonderful, the staff was kind and helpful, and it is a cute place for a date!
Service was friendly and quick but not rushed, food was first class, atmosphere very pleasant.
Very welcoming, excellent service & delicious food!
We love coming here. The food and service are always wonderful. Everything is made from scratch, it's delicious and they have a full bar. I love the ambiance as well, they always have old movies playing above the bar and all the lovely purple lights outside.
Our first visit was very nice. We will return soon. We found everything to our liking . It was very noisy!
Very accommodating, pleasant, no rush environment. Great place to enjoy a wonderful meal and dining experience. Highly recommend. The wine list is very short and a bit lite, but the food makes up for it. Bring your favorite bottle from home, have excellent cocktail and enjoy a terrific evening out.
Great evening, food and service was excellent
fabulous pasta and service
Wonderful food and service.
We had a table for 8 so they put us in a private room in the back and the service was excellent! There wasn’t a special occasion, but we were treated like royalty!
I have always loved the food there, but now I can say the food AND the service are the best!
This is our favorite restaurant!
The black kale salad, which is usually excellent (and can feed two), seemed a little more sour than usual, perhaps because the mango wasn’t quite ripe.
My husband had the soup, which was superb.
The gnocchi with shrimp and lobster sauce was delicious. And husband like his cannelloni very much.
This was the 2nd time to the restaurant and both meals were great. The zucchini spaghetti was very tasty. Would definitely return.
Nightmare. They need to get it together soon. It was seriously a joke.
Again, Tigelleria was fantastic. Ambiance, food, and PEOPLE are the BEST.
This is a charming place, with outstanding proximity to Heritage Theater.
It has a very limited wine selection for CA wines, heavy on Italians. The menu is very authentic Italian, particularly with the pasta selections.
Our dinners were good, nothing exceptional, although the starter, a spinach salad, was exceptional.
What got the evening off to a non recoverable bad footing was the surly, non hospitable host, Francesco. We had made special requests, including a quiet table. He appeared to not find the reservation, barely greeted us and then led us over to a tiny table immediately adjacent to the bathroom and kitchen. When we asked to be moved to a small table against the wall, he left us standing mid room to “see if you can have it”.
His attitude was the worst I have ever seen in any dining establishment, bar none. Turns out he is the nephew of the owner, do not sure how willing they are to address it.
This was a special celebration and I am sorry we selected this restaurant. I recommend it only because of proximity to the theater.
ravioli aragosta was quite tasty. other dishes were just ok, and service was spotty. They were nice enough to comp us the burrata appetizer they forgot to bring us, though.
We were is San Jose for a funeral and the experience at this restaurant made our trip and gave us much needed relief from the emotion of the weekend. Food and service were exceptional
Delicious fresh food , with rarely found non-dairy options for an Italian place! Lovely ambiance.
We took our employee out for dinner. We had a lovely time.
First time at the restaurant, and the staff was fantastic. The food tasted very authentic and I have to say I was very tasty. I will definitely be back!
The service was great but would have had a higher rating if they hadn't automatically added a 22% service charge on a party of 6. That was unnecessary and unmentioned and had we not looked closer we might have added another 20+%.
Great service. Fabulous bread. Food was fresh and organic.
This is one of our favorite local restaurants and we come here often. The ambiance is perfect for special occasions. We came for our anniversary and we were treated like royalty. Many thanks for a beautiful experience.
Great place to take small or large groups. I often use for business dinners. Great food, wonderful staff and service.
Had a wonderful dining experience the burrata is a must! Wonderful vegetarian options too! Romantic, business, casual or a special event this is a great find...
We will come again . Always tasty and very good service.
Great evening food was good staff friendly and the owner is very nice and in the restaurant and accessible to everyone
So this is the second time here, and we can only say wow. Elizabeth went above and beyond to make our night extraordinary. We started with the best palate cleanser we’ve had, then the best burrata we’ve had. Then we had homemade meats and cheeses, again, extraordinary. We then tried the lobster ravioli, beautiful. Finally, the tagliatelle with lamb ragu, phenomenal. 5 stars...
Authentic Northern Italian food. Great service and great ambience. Buon appetito!
The food descriptions did not match the actual dishes. Moreover, the taste was very bland. Overall, one does not get your money’s worth here.
Well prepared, fresh, creative cuisine. Personable waitstaff. Looking forward a return visit.
Our Special Occasion restaurant, to be fair though, sometimes the Special Occasion is ‘Hurrah we made it through the day!’ Tigelleria’s individual menu items change over time. Some dishes leave (Branzino), other plates are added (Tramonto/scallops). Seasonal changes, Chef preferences, customer requests, gluten-free, vegan, experiments, all these ingredients come together to keep Tigelleria fresh and dynamic.
Insalate alla Castellana with pinenuts, shaved Parmigiana reggiano, and black truffle oil so flavorful! rarely is a salad a reason to choose a restaurant, but this one is.
Tigelleria takes pride in a wine list with unique and different Italian wines. Cocktails change regularly. Black Widow on date night? Tasty
Service is smooth and professional with multiple staff members checking regularly to ensure all requests are meet and needs anticipated. Pistachio pannacotta, light and smooth. Chocolate mousse with Amarena cherries - each spoonful is a delight. Our happy place.
