Short Ribs were fantastic as well the salad.
Great healthy neighborhood restaurant. Been enjoying their food for years. Now hubby & I eating more plant Based & they have nice vegan options. Nice meal!
The cute restaurant ambience with its sweet staff was great! However while my scallop risotto dish was good, it was not outstanding and in fact a bit bland, therefore overpriced at $36. My guest had a Chianti pasta which while flavorful was also not fabulous and it was $26. The dessert came with a heavy swirl of caramel sauce which I would love but it tasted really bitter as if burnt. When I asked the server about it she said the chef calls it “smoky” and that it’s supposed to taste that way...the dessert was a pistachio pana cotta which was very small and as it was mild it was overpowered by the “smoky” ...sauce. At $12 it was a disappointment. I don’t usually mention or mind the prices but as this was a fun but not so wow in flavor dinner it hurts a bit to have spent that much on it! Maybe the more traditional Italian fare is better here?
Food was wonderful but service for our table was chaotic. We were asked about water and ordered our preference but we did not get any for 20 minutes after we pointed this out. We had to ask to order appetizers and drinks. One wine was never brought and we had to ask for that. We were ordering with different servers through the evening it seemed.
Fantastic meal! I absolutely love this place. I will definitely be coming back again. Each plate that came out (appetizer, drinks, soup, and main dish) was outstanding.
Exceptional food and service with the care and time it takes to make authentic Italian dishes.
Had few small flies buzzing through out the lunch. No one cared. Too bad.
This is my forth time at this local restaurant and I've never been disappointed.
I was expecting better flavors
Great service. Few vegetarian options. The cannelloni was amazing.
Food is always great here and the service quite pleasant but everything brought to the table was set down in front of the wrong person. It was kind of funny by the end.
My 2nd time there in a month. It's a beautiful storefront restaurant with white tablecloths. The boiled octopus carpaccio appetizer sounds yucky, but it is so delicious, accompanied by little cubes of potato, capers, and cherry tomatoes. Light and refreshing. The arugula salad with mushrooms and drizzled with truffle oil is also delicious. I don't eat garlic, so often it is difficult to not run into it on everything in an Italian restaurant, but not at Tigelleria. The rest of the party loved the lasagne, the polenta and bean casserole, and the seafood pasta. A nice wine selection by the glass too. Definitely recommend this neighborhood gem.
Been here 4 times and everything historically went well. Last Friday not so much. I think the service team is very conscientious but they were at our table every 3-4 minutes. Very frustrating to say the least.
Wonderful food and wine! We enjoyed the ambience very much. Very cozy!
Looking forward to a wonderful dinner before going to the Heritage Theatre with my daughter and daughter-in-law. From the website, menu, and other reviews, we expected a great meal at a relatively high price. Unfortunately, we got one, but not the other. The food was ok, but not great, and the prices were quite high for the value. I will say that the gelato was very tasty, but the rest was comparable to what I would expect from a moderately priced restaurant, not from a high end. $270, including tip and a modest bottle of wine was way too much for three of us.
Service has diminished. We use to love this place but something has changed. The wait staff has made numerous mistakes on our last two visits and we also feel pushed to finish our meal.
Price have gone up, service has gone down and food quality if about average. Overall I would only give it a 3.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Tigelleria.
We had been stuffing ourselves with excessive amounts of food for several days and were looking for place to enjoy a quiet evening of conversation with wine, bread and cheese. Tigelleria turned out to be perfect. I will say the wines (mostly Italian) seemed priced on the high side. Nevertheless, we ordered the large cheese tray along with the large salumi tray and shared a couple bottles of wine for a glorious evening of conversation.
This was accompanied by the absolutely fabulous bread that is the namesake of the restaurant - tegelle. These little stone baked circles of bread are to die for; especially with cheese and charcuterie. You need to visit this place just for the bread!
Our server was a bit harried and overwhelmed as many more patrons showed up than she had expected. But that was no bother to us. A couple other tables seemed a bit miffed at the slowness of the service as they clearly were there to eat and not dine.
There was also a nice mix of families with young children as well as old friends sharing the evening.
You should check it out at the far west end of downtown Campbell.
We will go back.
Service is really bad and drinks were watered down. Been there twice with similar results
Fabulous fun with friends. The staff was excellent and food tasty. Booked it on a lark and the 6 of us loved every minute!
The restaurant has never made any extra effort for either birthdays or anniversary, even though they ask when you sit down...
Also, from the moment you enter the restaurant, there's a tendency to NOT check for your reservation if the restaurant is empty. They want to just sit you. You have to ask for them to check reservations and almost beg where you want to be seated.
We go for the food execution to the table and amazing taste.
They need someone polished for the arrival of the guests.
My friend and I were preparing to attend a musical recital downtown, and wanted a special meal to celebrate.
We had been here before, but had to rush the previous time to get on to our performance on time (barely made it).
This time we allowed almost two hours so we would have plenty of time.
We asked to taste the wine selection, which our server was glad to provide. She brought that bottle to taste plus another one.
It turns out the one we first picked was pretty tart, and she knew that (they had tasted the wines before opening), so she brought another selection for us. Very nice service.
The food courses were brought out in a timely fashion, the salad, risotto with scallops, ministrone soup, and cheese plate. All were fine.
All in all, a very nice experience, and we will be back again.
Intimate, special, romantic, a reminder of Italy. A new favorite, will be back!
The food is always good but tonight the service was really slow. Also they don’t seem to have the large selection of cold cuts and cheese they used to have: now they have one single fixed dish.
Food and service were good but could have been much better for the price. You folks need to differentiate yourselves from all the other restaurants in town...being organic is great but being expensive with ok service isn't a good differentiator.
Also only had one of each wine by the glass on the menu and then out of the pino. I would expect at least a couple options of each type of wine and to make sure they have stock. This happened on my last visit there as well.
I always love spending time at this restaurant. The ambiance is very nice, the food is excellent and authentic and the service is always good.
Very good food - Pricey though, but isn't everything?
pretty sub par for the price! go to willard hicks up the street for tastier treats.
I reserved a table for 8 people and was happily surprised that they have a room in the back that accommodates a table of 8. It was wonderful because the noise level was lower and conversation flowed easily. Everyone really enjoyed their food and cocktails, the service was attentive and friendly. They answered all our questions regarding the food and the cocktails. I would definitely reserve again and all our friends said they will return for a date night.
All around very pleasant experience, very unique decor kept me intrigued!
The food was excellent. We both had the baked salmon which was cooked to perfection. Crispy in the outside and moist on the inside. The salad that came with it was very tasty. The ambiance was very pleasant and the music endiable. The service was good. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Limited gluten free options. Charged same price for vegetarian dish even though salmon was not requested. Disappointing service and quite rude server who said he was also a chef.
Previously, one of our top 5 favorite places. Not after this visit. Something structurally different is there. Tigelleria was always more expensive than other places, especially in Campbell. But it was worth it. This time, as if someone implanted a new brigade of waiters from hell, totally mismatching the level and expectation for this kind of place. Just to convey our level of dissatisfaction, let me just say that I have not written a single restaurant review in years, if ever. But this time I had to. They need to get their act together.
One of our Campbell favorites. The bread at the beginning is different and delicious and uniquely presented. House cocktail was delicious. Our entrees were awesome. Most impressive was the hard working, Francesco. We ordered a bottle of Chianti. When tasting there was something wrong. Instead of Francesco saying it just needs to open up or breathe he said let me bring you a different bottle that you will enjoy. We will be back soon!
Unimpressive. Service was not as expected for a restaurant with such a high price point. Food wasn’t as expected either. We were really looking forward to this spot but were incredibly disappointed.
We went there for Valentine's Day dinner, with reservation. We ordered appetizer, drinks and main menu in one go. Our kale salad came back with missing key ingredients(I only saw kale and some seeds in it, no mango). And then everyone else including folks who came way after us got their entrees before us! We must have waited for an hour and a half after seating for our entrees. And we had ordered generic vegetarian meals from the menu, so nothing that should have taken them so long. After waiting for a long time to catch the eye of our server, we finally flagged down another server. He took off our salad price from the final bill, and informed us our entrees would be coming soon. Our server came back with the entrees soon, but she didn't once apologize for the delay. The food was bland. The bad service ruined our special dinner, and we are not coming back here.
Just OK experience. I think they might have been overwhelmed for Valentine’s Day. Our waitress was excellent but I was disappointed by some of the dishes and how slow service was. Our best dishes were the black kale salad and the frozen whipped cream dessert. The Lobster raviolis and duck gnocchi dishes came to us cold. You could tell that the dishes had been sitting out waiting for the waitress to pick them up. Not something I would expect for more than $30 a dish. It was corrected but we had to wait another 10 minutes on top of all the wait we had endured that night thus far. Not sure i would come back.
We have eaten here before they expanded. The food is quite good and the wine selection has some good Italian wines. It is small in both eating areas, but comfortable. You do need reservations. The happy hour drink prices are only if you sit at the bar. The bar has two stools but I think they may extend to an area next to the bar. The food and wine is on the expensive side but good value. cost value would be $$ in my opinion.
We will be eating here again.
Excellent meal and service as usual. I’ve been to Tigelleria a number of times. With both large groups and table for two. Have always had a great experience with respect to both food and service.
