   Amazing food. Amazing experience. I loved that we actually sat right next to tide pools. We had an amazing time. This is the best restaurant that we have ever tried in Hawaii. The only downfall was that our reservation was for 8:30 and they said that the kitchen closed at 9, so we felt very rushed. You should keep your kitchen open until at least 9:30 if you’re going to have reservations available for 8:30.

   Very impressed by the service. Even as we were leaving every busy server that passed us told us to have a good night. The food was very good and the Lava Flow drink is to die for!!!

   great place to eat with really nice, upscale food. my family of 4 was all please with our food and if you’re looking for a good pina colada, would highly recommend the mango lava flow. pina colada + mango! they do it with strawberry too. overall great place to eat!

   Lagoon side table watching large colorful carp tempt us to feed them was great fun. Food was well prepared and presented, the Kona lobster seafood medley was generous and delicious, the server was a professional. We recommend the experience.

    Les was a beyond wonderful server. We had the macadamia mahi mahi, which I would recommend to anyone. It came with a salsa that had a slightly more acidic than sweet taste that paired very well with the macadamia crust. The fish was cooked perfectly. My partner had the swordfish, which comes with a lobster/seafood reduction sauce that was the most tender and delicious swordfish I’ve ever had. Kids ordered the kids steak, which was a great value and cooked perfectly medium rare. Recommend the lava cake dessert to finish, not super original but very well executed. Overall very happy with this somewhat expensive meal.

    Oh my, this is a delightful splurge, with food that is heavenly and ambiance that is perfect for a romantic dinner. We were so glad we went, parking was easy and service was great. We were seated right on time, and our server Ron couldn’t have been better. Friendly, helpful, patient, and a cute sense of humor. We ordered the seafood dinner that has several things to try, shrimp, lobster, mahi, scallop, and delicious veggies. Everything was prepared to perfection. Enough gushing…not cheap, but worth it.

    My hubby booked Tide Pools for my 60th birthday dinner (10 years after he booked my 50th birthday dinner!) We had the most amazing table with a stunning view and active koi fish that entertained us through out our meal. Our server Juan was personable, professional and knowledgable. His recommendations were perfect for each of us. The scallop starter was delicious. We had such an amazing evening!

    Entire dish was a mix of overcooked and undercooked, completely lacked any and all flavor. All the fish are very sick and in distress with visible sores and parasites- with the amount of money they make on each meal, one would think they would take better care of their fish- especially since the restaurant is designed to showcase them specifically. Service was good, but at their prices good service alone doesn’t make it worth the trip.

    We stayed at the Hyatt and made this a dinner for a birthday. This is a must if staying at the hotel. Some of the best crab cakes. In my top 10. Everyone’s dishes were all top notch. Filet was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing added lobster tail. Lava chocolate cake very good Ambiance is very unique and makes the overall experience excellent

    My husband and I came here to celebrate our birthdays. It is a beautiful restaurant over water with open doors so it feels like you are outside, but has a pretty thatch roof. I had macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and my husband had a New York Strip. Both were prepared perfectly. Our server, Juan, was great. For dessert he added a big candle that flickered like a little fire cracker! Juan was a big help in making our evening at Tidepools very special!

    The food was great and the atmosphere was so cool having sat next to the Koi ponds. Our server (I can't remember his name, Greg maybe?) was extremely friendly and did a great job. Even the server's assistant was extremely helpful and attentive. I'd highly recommend this to anyone!

    This restaurant is amazing!! The ambiance and view is gorgeous. And the food does not disappoint. The poke appetizer is phenomenal as is the seared ahi. And make sure to eat the rolls that come out first, they are out of this world. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful too

    Beautiful views, very good service. Loved the beet appetizer. Cornmeal crusted scallops were not hot. Ordered the Hawaiian Catch, again, some things were hot, some was not. Also added fish to a salad to make it an entree and was charged for macadamia-nut crusted entree.

    So good! We had crab cakes and the swordfish topped with crab and lobster on top of mashed potatoes and asparagus. Kylen was our outstanding server. Go to the bar area and it’s open seating, first come first serve. It’s a similar experience to the dining room - same food, same great service, no res required.

    My baby lamb chops were good, not outstanding, Tender and moist a bit under seasoned. My friends loved their fish and vegetables and cleaned their plates. Our waiter, Derrick was outstanding. Soft spoken, attentive and very helpful with wine choices and other special requests. It was my friend's birthday and she was delighted with the birthday dessert!

    We are frequent visitors from Oahu and spend either birthdays, anniversary or other special events at the Grand Hyatt. Tidepools always recognizes our day! Not always consistent with the front desk, who sometimes gives us a recognition and sometimes does not? Love the food at Tidepools. Not a lot of waste and excellent quality.
