Our last time dining at TH. What a loss because truly is the BEST place to dine. Nothing else compares to how wonderful this restaurant is for all the years we’ve been dining there. This gem will be sorely missed by those who know and enjoy fabulous food and ambience in this historic homestead.

What a wonderful meal we had last night! The lobster bisque to die for and duck was also superb! Service was gracious and attentive as always too. We just hope the new owners will continue the legacy of this outstanding restaurant and especially maintain the beautiful historic atmosphere. I fear it may be transformed into a modern restaurant! That would be tragic.

What a perfect experience for my last meal at Thomas Henkelmann. Four great friends, drinks in the zebra room, perfectly delicious food and a warm embrace from the handsome chef himself. It is so sad that they are closing, but at some point all good things have to come to an end. Good luck to you Thomas and Team Homestead Inn. You will certainly be missed!

Wonderful dining experience! The food, service and ambiance were excellent!! Humberto was the best and all staff were great as well. Loved the artwork of NYC paintings. Tip: Ask to be seated by working fireplace as (depending on occasion) may enhance your experience.

My husband and I visited the Thomas Henklemann estate ,celebrating our anniversary. Our experience at the restaurant was most pleasant. The service was impeccable, as every detail was handled with the utmost importance. The wine list presented a myriad of fine selections. The cuisine captured the most discerning palate! The finale debuted in a fine assortment of exquisite pastries upon a plate scrolled in chocolate, the sentiment, “Happy Anniversary”. The overall atmosphere was romantic and inviting. With highest recommendation, we believe you will relish an exquisite dining experience at Thomas Henkelmann’s Homestead Inn.

Thomas Henklemann has been our favorite restaurant to celebrate all the meaningful dates ever year for over 20 years. Birthdays, marriage, anniversaries, holidays. The food is always exquisite. The relationships we have formed with the wonderful staff always adds warmth and professionalism. The Homestead Inn and the restaurant reflects the love of art and interior design that we always enjoy. Our expectations were very high and were well exceeded. One of the most delicious meals I can ever recall experiencing, world class. Every member of the staff is attentive, respectful and personable. Oysters on the half shell and lobster triangle for appetizers, duck and veal mains. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Amuse bouche was a a duck spring roll and very tasty. Definitely enjoyed the visit.

Service was just ok ( read specials while guest was away and didn’t pay attention to who was drinking wine and who wasn’t )then really faded/ disappeared towards the end. No list of wines by the glass is z bit strange

We absolutely loved the food. We expected to get wowed and we did. I wish that their service was on par with the quality of food. It’s not about the speed, it’s about details and basic training level. From how to pore champagne to remembering our individual orders. Clumsy at best. It didn’t go with the sophisticated food that we had. We may be back for the food though.

First timers at Homestead-- having been born and raised in Greenwich, CT. The restaurant did not disappoint and exceeded expectations. The service was incredible and starting from the fresh homemade bread and butter the food matched the service. The dinning room is a gem and the whole dinner is an immaculate experience.
