   Great fried chicken and the collard greens were yummy. Never been a fan of collars greens before. Good cocktails too.

   Went with a group of 4 for a Saturday brunch. We were seated quickly. There was a lot of beautiful natural light even in our booth toward the back of the restaurant. Our coffee and water were topped off regularly. Everyone was ecstatic about their food. The potatoes with my Benedict were really good. Good portions as well.

   We came here to celebrate and early Father's day with our daughter and son in law and loved the food and ambiance- it was perfect for this occasion!

   Cocktails were exceptional! As were the oysters. Pecan pie was a little disappointing...dry and not enough pecans.

   This was our first time eating at the Woodsman Tavern. We really enjoyed our breakfast and hope to return for dinner soon.

   We came for a celebration dinner for five at 6:15. I twice asked specifically for a nice table, as it was a special gathering. We got stuck in the corner near the end of the bar and booming loudspeaker. We were treated to regular long views of guys horsing around in the kitchen, and music so loud because of our position that we could not hear each other at the ends of the table. We also never could fine our waiter when we wanted him. Not-so-great...

   This time around I was actually very disappointed in the experience. Reservation was not the problem. I was able to book a reservation the night before. The issue I had was that their Social Media was showcasing Oysters and Beer from 7pm-9pm and I made my reservation for 8pm. By the time I was seated I was very excited to order the craft special beer and local oyster. I was surprisingly told that the oysters were sold out way long ago, and the beer too. I was upset to hear, since it was only an hour earlier and truthfully the only reason I came to revisit The woodsman after my 5th time. I don't know, maybe they could have informed their customers that reservations don't qualify for craft beer and food specials. Or that maybe the social media could have stated "while supply last* I don't know I truly disappointed, I was looking forward to a good night with fine whiskey and Beer. I didn't end up ordering the other oysters on their menu, and I didn't end up ordering local beer either. Russian River is not local but excited for the availability. And the available oyster were from Washington at a $3.00-$3.50 price range. All in all I felt like I wasn't informed enough and I ended up disappointed in my night. Will I go back, sure but only to know that I'm going for a static item on their menu.

   We used to love the Woodsman Tavern, but, honestly, we were not very impressed during our last visit. I don't know if it has changed management or ownership, but the quality has diminished. We used to love the ham board and the pickled eggs, which are both no longer options. A number of us ordered the bucket of fried chicken, which was rather bland, surprisingly so. This used to be one of our go-to places for entertaining out-of-town guests, but no longer. I really thought out bill was too much this time for the overall quality of our experience.

    Really noisy, crusty stale cinnamon roll, one dish wasn't hot, hard to get coffee refills and attention if server but how can you it recommend it? It's so cozy and hipster and in the best neighborhood. I hope it is better next time!
