I had the duck two ways. The leg confit was the second best I've ever had. The best was from Baltazuar, New York. My duck breast was quite dry, but the sides were to die for. The butternut squash was rich and velvety. The roast root veg was carmelized just right with a little bit of char and the citrus wedges were inspiring. We did have to wait awhile for the entrees after the salad, but otherwise, everything was great. The compliment dessert for our anniversary was wonderful and much appreciated. I found out that the wine corkage is only $15 and the Patricia Green Pinot reserve sells for less than $30 in the wine shop downstairs. This is a great value!
We haven't been to the WineSellar & Brasserie in a Very long time -- years in fact -- just drifted on to new restaurants. We decided to see if it was as good as we remembered -- it was. We decided to go with the 5 course Chef's menu -- let the chef choose each course. We also did the wine pairing. The food did not disappoint -- wonderful presentation and the food was delicious. The wine paired excellently with each course. The gentleman serving the wine, I think his name is Greg, was great -- knew the wines, friendly. The waitstaff is very sparse, --- it appeared there were only 3 working the dining room -- the hostess, who seated us and served bread (no offer of more bread after the initial serving), a young man serving the food, clearing the dishes and refilling water glasses and the gentleman pouring the wine. The service between the courses was Very Slow -- Not well timed at all --- a very uncomfortably long wait. No one ever came by the table to check on us -- a complete feeling of 'ignored'. We were dining early Wednesday evening, so the restaurant was not crowded. While the food was outstanding and we'd go again for the food, what would make us not return is the thought of the lack of service -- 3 hours for dinner does not make for an enjoyable dining experience. Too bad because the food is outstanding.
The food and service were very good but over priced for lunch.
The four of us enjoyed an excellent dinner along with good service. Both the Chilian Seabass and AHI were a delight. We are also previleged to say hello to Gary Parker, the long time owner. A wonderful evening was had by all!
The food and service are amazing. You really feel like they are cooking an elegant meal just for you!
Great food and service.
Service was a little slow but overall experience was great! Will definitely go back! The food was delicious.
The service was amazing and the food delicious. We both ordered the tuna entree and it was perfectly seared. The wine list was outstanding!
My husband and I have been here many times for dinner and always have had good experiences. I also have been here many times for lunch and those have always been good too. They have friendly wait people and staff.
The food is always good, the wine list is excellent, and it is all "topped" by the excellent service!
The Winesellar and Brasserie consistently has terrific food to compliment their incredible wine selection.
The only complaint is that it seemed like it took a very long time between courses for our food to arrive. There must have been some problem in the kitchen, as it didn't seem that busy. We were fine with a leisurely dinner, but this seemed a bit more than that. Otherwise everything was wonderful!
Was the best. 3 visit in 4 months. Consistent. New chef still Fantastic or better. Personalized service. Excellent Value and food. Highly recommend.
Mauro is the best nicest waiter
Yum! Had not eaten at the WineSeller in a number of years but will be back sooner! Copious wine selection and our server really knew what to recommend. Terrific service. Phenomenal food!
I asked them to arrange a special meal and they went above and beyond.
Wonderful dining experience. We had their five course chef’s mercy. Each dish was well prepared
Excellent prompt service, friendly staff, delicious food, very cozy and meticulous environment. Really can not ask for more than that. They are also very good with honoring discounts through open table and corporate passport program. Thank you!
We hadn't been to back to this restaurant in several years and were quite pleased that it was every bit as good as we remembered it. The food was tasty, amply portioned and attractively presented and the service was pleasantly attentive. We won't wait as long to return.
The food and service were incredible when we were there for our small party of 6 good friends. The wine list was extensive, too.
Buy your wine at the store...$15 cork fee. C(K)at is great at recommendations.
WineSellar is a reliable and lovely venue for a business meal. The food and service are excellent.
A great overall experience. One my go to places when a high quality, seamless experience is needed. Highly recommend.
Great dinner with great friends. Lamb salad, Short ribs, Ribeye steak, 2 desserts, all beautifully and deliciously prepared. Bertrand took great care of us.
Service and food are always wonderful.
We had a lovely dinner. Quiet, nice music and great service😍
Solid experience. Location is odd but well worth exploring. Ideal for any business lunch meetings.
The chicken salad sandwich is delicious!
Always a top notch experience. What is not on the wine list, is downstairs. Never a rushed moment.
Everything we ordered was perfect! Our waiter even paired our wine selection perfectly!
Our only complaint was that the food was slow to arrive.
Great special today! Sea bass with walnuts, broccoli and a schmear of celery paste. Topped off with a good Chablis. Love this place for lunch.
This is a great place to meet for an excellent meal and the ability to actually conduct business while dining. I am also looking forward to checking out the bar next week!
Rediscovered after a several year absence.
Still great in every way. Had the lamb rack, duck confit and the always special tuna tartare appetizer.
Enjoyed a wine tasting first then went upstairs for a lovely meal. We have always enjoyed eating here
Fantastic Seafood dishes. Amazing wine. Great Service. Decor is a bit dated, but overall was a great spot for a business dinner for 8. Thank you WineSellar!
We came to celebrate the life of my mother. Her memorial service was at El Camino just before our reservation. This restaurant is wonderful! The food, the service, the wine, all was perfect. It was truly a beautiful day for us. Thank you, The Wine Cellar and Braserrie!!!
Use to live in San Diego 15 years ago and had been to this restaurant many times. Was back in town and decided we needed to go here. If anything the food was even better then I remember.
Absolutely excellent experience in all areas, food, service and ambience
The wine was good but not worth the price! Food excellent
