   We started out in a nice, quiet environment overlooking Newport Bay but within 20 minutes, 21 people were seated in our immediate surrounding area. Instead of a quiet environment, the noise level went from nice to almost unbearable. There was a party of 7, a party of 10 & a party of 4 seated one after the other, so instead of the noise level increasing over time, it was all at once. I understand the need to accommodate large parties needs as well, but felt if their arrival was staggered a bit more, it would have been a more comfortable and slower increase in sound. Also, if you're going to play music, it should be in the background for a fine dining establishment like yours. The live music was softer than the recorded music & was quite good. When the noise from people gets louder, the music needs to go down in volume - not increased. The food was delicious and the server was informative, attentive and friendly.

   Overall poor service, disappointing. The cocktails were excellent along with the Cesar salad and the sommelier who brought the wine ordered was excellent. The service went down hill once the dinner was served, our waitress never came back to our table, never poured more wine or to ask how our entrees were tasting. We asked the manger to come over and bring our check. He brought dessert menu’s and we declined. He brought over a complementary dessert and it was lack luster.

   Wonderful dinner! Some of the best we've had in the OC. Lobster risotto was amazing. As was the House salad. Service impeccable and very friendly. Has become one of our favorite places to have an excellent meal and experience.

   If you are LGBTQ you may want to revisit going to this restaurant. Our waiter and food was excellent. The General Manager made the rounds and completely ignored us. He spoke to the table next to us on. both sides. I can only assume since it was two men dining together on a Friday night that he assumed correctly that we were gay and chose to ignore us. We will not be going back!!!

   Our server was very friendly, patient, attentive and knowledgeable. I had the Duck 2-ways and my husband had the Chilean Sea Bass. Our portions were plentiful and perfectly prepared. Our appetizers were delicious and we had the beignets for dessert. Wow!! The ambiance was comfortable and the musical entertainment was really good. Overall, we had a great experience and would come back in a heartbeat.

   Beautiful setting next to the marina. The servers are all very nice and accommodating. The biggest problem for us was that there is no separation between the dining room and the bar. The live music was nice but WAY TOO LOUD! While fine while we were having drinks it had a negative affect on our dining experience... we were looking for a FINE dining experience, not to have to yell back and forth over our expensive meals.. There were also very few seats at the bar for the amount of space available...(I thought perhaps this was to discourage "bar only" customers?). The food was very good (burratta tomato salad, grilled Salmon, my husband had pork lardons from the appetizer menu, all very tasty.

    This place was wonderful, as always! They offered my guest an off menu dish when she wanted pasta, but couldn’t find the exact thing. The sommelier, Dustin, always amazingly knowledgeable, served up a wonderful Rombauer chard, and a perfect Silver Oak cab. I had risotto for the first time here, and it was hot and completely delicious. My seatmates did it all..salad, appetizers, soup, entrees, dessert, pretty much noting was missed. Jeff provided excellent table service. And, well.. Richard, my favorite Winery guy, was always there with a quick story or anecdote, and his attention delighted my guests. We had a wonderful time! Just be prepared..Saturday nights can be a bit loud. Add live music to that, and you are limited to talking to the person next to you, as cross table talk can’t be heard. A small price to pay for the superb food and service in my opinion.
