Evening was fantastic! Food was perfect and we were really happy to see winery back open!
So very enjoyable for our first night out in more than 2 months! A beautiful evening on the deck with yummy food!
Food was great.
Christina our server was 10plus in service.
The lobster was very tough and Chewy
Over priced for what you get
It was our first time to visit the restaurant. We got great services and great foods. We will return the restaurant to sure when we are in Newport Beach area.
James was our waiter and he is a Pro. It was a great night out. Thank you James.
Food is tasty although extremely salty. Server forgot to bring our sides. When they finally arrived, we were almost finished with our meal. I don’t know if anything can be done about it, but the restaurant is quite noisy making intimate conversation difficult. The best thing about the Winery is the view.
We brought a friend from Italy with us. He was so happy and enjoyed everything. He even posted it on Facebook
Always great at all Winery locations. This one in Newport Beach serves brunch on Sundays. Nice setting, even nicer food and service. Skye is terrific and the Captain, Madison, is exemplary. Very nice brunch.
Great place for a special night out. Our server Kendra and the staff were outstanding, the food was prepared perfectly, we will be coming back!
Excellent dinner I would highly recommend
Amazing service, food was wonderful and the entertainment was outstanding! @musicbyroderick He is absolutely a joy to listen to, guy has serious skills! 🙌
Everything from beginning to end was phenomenal. Our server Pat was so friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Me and my boyfriend shared the petite seafood tower and a couple glasses of wine to start and it did not disappoint. Every bite of that seafood tower was so fresh and yummy! Especially loved the Ahi bites. For dinner my boyfriend had the bone in ribeye with a lobster tail and I had the filet with a side of asparagus and truffle fries to share. Every bite was so good and decadent. We got all 3 steak sauces to try. The truffle sauce was our favorite. At the end of our meal we were completely satisfied and happy. Thank you Pat for a great experience as a first time diner of The Winery. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful restaurant, waterfront scenery and delicious food. Waiter Kevin was very attentive and several other employees greeted us at one point or another during the night. Great experience. Will definitely return for a special night!
Great meal, fantastic service, beautiful view! Great way to celebrate our anniversary!! We’ll be back for sure.
Service was very slow and were more attentive to others in Restaurant it seemed. Took 25 minutes to receive our appetizer and was not overly warm when it arrived shortly after asking waitress about it. Fireplace was not working on patio and took 15 minutes to get a Blanket for my Girlfriend. Waiter was distracted by other customers who they were spending a lot of time with. Apologized for forgetting about blanket and bringing our bread as well. Food was very good but Service will keep us away for awhile.
Had a wonderful brunch with my wife and son. Excellent appetizers and entrees and a complimentary crane brûlée for my wife’s birthday.
Possibly the noisiest restaurant I have ever (almost) dined in. Horrible acoustics coupled with live entertainment made it impossible to have a conversation without shouting, the booths were claustrophobic for four people, the drinks were peculiar tasting, and the service was slow. We left before ordering our entree and. This may be THE most disappointing restaurant I have ever (almost) eaten in.
Initially the pricey wine list was intimidating but we found a reasonably priced favorite varietal.Service from Sky was friendly and responsive, as was the wine service. Food is very good-oysters were succulent, tuna poke was elegantly stacked; risotto with scallops/shrimp delicious and enough to share.
The only issue was “beignets” are really large donuts/ or Italian bombolone. This item was graciously removed.
Next time we’ll opt for the patio!
Excellent service and nice ambiance. The oysters were excellent. I had the shrimp and scallops and they were delicious. My husband had the clam chowder and like it. I had requested a table by the window (it was our anniversary) and was seated way in the back of the restaurant, so I was a little disappointed with that.
Great anniversary dinner...they were very accommodating to move us closer to a window. We ate early so I don't think this impacted anyone with a reservation but very nice that they allowed us to move. Great food and tremendous service.
Great food and friendly service one of Newport’s best
Requested a window seat, but were sat in the middle of the restaurant. Asked if we could have one of the several open tables at the window and were told that it was for customers that requested in advance (which we did). Also, noted that this visit was for our birthdays in our Open Table reservation and they were unaware. Filet was average at best.
Valentines Day dinner. Turns out this is less of a restaurant and more of a lounge/bar geared towards customers that are very well off or at least people who try incredibly hard to appear as such. Nothing wrong with that of course, however, the food and the service were not inline with the price tag. We paid $300 (no wine) for a mediocre set meal that should have been closer to $100 incl tip. Even the lobster at an Outback is better and how can’t they even get the bread right? The food seemed like a buffet level afterthought, it reminded me of what you would expect at a busy wedding. Now, we’d had much pricier romantic dinners in the Hollywood area but they’d always been worth it. This one was not. I’m not saying this is a terrible place. All I’m saying is the prices levels are shockingly pretentious with nothing behind it.
Good! Server seemed stressed at one point but he bounced back well the second half :)
Food was great! Found a hair in the amuse bouche but quickly forgot about it bc everything was so good. The timing was also good, everything came out as we finished so we didn’t have to wait too much for each course.
Definitely recommend. Will be back!
The food and wine were quite good, not exceptional. Unfortunately, the service was abysmal. After arriving it was a full 30 minutes until we had our order taken. The first course, a prosciutto-wrapped shrimp over a parmesan risotto was excellent. However, our bread came out after we received our appetizer nearly an hour after arriving. Strangely in-between our appetizer and entree our amuse bouche arrived which I assumed they had forgotten. The entrees were quite tasty, I had lobster and tenderloin over a creamed mash potato and caramelized carrots. The lobster was perfect, but the tenderloin was extremely chewy, which was sad because it tasted quite good. For dessert, a selection of bite-size pastries was provided, which tasted like warmed up frozen 3 days old Albertson's pastries. Granted it wasn't, horrible, but not worth the price. All-in-all I cannot recommend The Winery to anyone, which is sad, because certain aspects were quite nice. Aslo caviar was a little old.
We went early on purpose to have a drink before dinner - but, The tables in the bar area were unavailable for seating while we were waiting for our reservations ... the remaining bar seating was too limited, which was a poor start to the evening.
Celebrate Valentine a day early so I don’t get the same meal as everyone. Great Steam clamps for appetizer. Venison is good (Medium is recommended since venison tends to be tougher meat than beef). Scallops is great. Pricey but you pay for ambience.
Waiter is not good. I feel like being rushed the whole time
We came on a scouting mission for a possible Rehearsal Dinner for our fall wedding and doubled it as a Valentine's Day date...it was excellent! The food was delicious, the service prompt, and the wine was fantastic--so many choices. It is a little more on the pricey side for a typical date night, but we would definitely go back for special occasions.
