Well - we made a reservation, got a confirmation, and bought a coupon. We arrived on time and found it closed. and snow and ice in front of the doors. No one answers the phone, or returns email or voicemail. I can only guess they closed and didn't bother to tell anyone...

Made a reservation for myself with a group of friends, based on a personal recommedation and the information available on their website. I relied mostly on WS info to decided whether to book there or not. Turns out it looked nothing like the photos on the website and the menu had about 5 entrees to choose from, which was a fraction of what was on their website menu. The restaurant was very dark and uninviting, the booth we sat in was very uncomfortable, the best glass of red wine was just 'eh' - and the food was unimaginative and tasteless. The waiter explained that he tells everyone to disregard the website as it hadn't been updated in ages, and the reason why only a few people were there (our party + 3) was because they were closed the next day. hmmmmmm..... overall, Blahhh

Great food, wonderful staff, delightful eclectic atmosphere and cool seasonal cocktails and a fantastic wine list. Romantic for a special day or cool enough to meet up with a friend to catch up on things. Definite recommend.

My husband and I dined here for Valentine's Day. The low lighting and rustic atmosphere enhanced our romantic evening. The bread was fun and interesting and it helped that we were given four hunks of it instead of a load that often detracts from the appeal of bread. The entrees were certainly tasty and the wood aroma and flavor is a winner.

The food and service were outstanding. The room was a little cold (temperature) and there was a gas fireplace in the room that was not turned on. Not sure how much heat that would generate, but it was Valentine's Day so it would have been nice ambiance. Great grilled salmon, generous portions, cooked perfectly. Awesome dessert called "chocolate therapy" half cake, half brownie, whipped cream. Awesome! I recommend this and will go again.

The dinner menu was very basic and uncreative. We were rushed to order entree with apps due to running out of items. It was 8:00pm with room half empty. We were told orders would be put in after apps but they came out (cold) immediately after apps were cleared. Entrees were mediocre and apps were better. Disappointed overall.

Restaurant was empty on a Friday night. Likely because the food is not very good. We ordered lamb lollipops for appetizer. The server asked very precisely how we wanted them cooked and mentioned that if they're undercooked they can be chewy. Better to go more to medium. They arrived raw and were sent back. Item was taken off the bill. The entrees were okay but nothing special. $17 for a salad with salmon isn't too pricey, but it was something I could make very easily and better at home. They had a haddock special that we wanted, but one table of about 7 people apparently ordered all the portions they had. The special was 86'd at 7:30pm.

As we were leaving around 9pm, a group of younger folks was arriving. There was much discussion about whether the kitchen was open and still serving. Really? 9pm on a Friday and the kitchen must have been closing due to boredom.

This was our first time at The Wild Horse. The staff was very attentive! The atmosphere was very nice with the open kitchen. The food was very good! We will be going back!

My daughter and I come once a year before our annual viewing of A Christmas Carol. We have had the same waiter each year for the last 4 years. He is always friendly and helpful with the menu. The food is excellent every time we have come. I can not imagine going anywhere else for our annual dinner. I also work close by and have come to the Wild Horse with my co workers on occasion and continue to have great food and excellent service.

The menu was somewhat limited but what we did order was very good. Our server, a young man by the name of Henry, was superb and made our experience that much more enjoyable.
