Delicious food from the appetizers to dessert
Best restaurant in Aspen. Me and a friend from Dallas talked on the plane yesterday and called it “ Aspens hidden gem “
Cute little place with very good service, an impressive menu and a wine list that's ridiculously unaffordable for the average bear. The best dish we had was the Veal Loin Scaloppine, which was done in the Piccata style: Generous meat portion with a tangy light brown , lemon caper butter sauce, delicious potato purée and garlic spinach. A steal at $30. Next best was the Fig Salad, with very fresh field greens, a crispy slice of pancetta and mild blue cheese crumbles. After some searching, we found four little pieces of port-marinated figs. A touch more generosity might be in order. Finally, the Lobster Ravioli dish was interesting. Unfortunately, the ravioli flavor was overwhelmed by the hearty mushroom sauce.
If you stick to a couple of glasses of wine and pick your dishes judiciously, this can be a reasonably priced dinner.
Food delicious, service great, but we had a gift card they would not allow us to tip on, so we had to give an additional credit card even though they already had our money.
My party of three all got different entrées and appetizers and every single item was extremely bland. The service was seriously lacking too. Our server barely checked in on us during the entire dinner. We were looking forward to dining here and were very disappointed !
Tables for two are not at all cozy. All the better situated tables are for four or larger parties which does not make sense since larger parities are louder. The parties for two are out in the middle of the room with no privacy. Food and service is great, too bad it's not that great to take a date.
The bartender Amy took good care of me. This is a great place to dine at the bar and order ANYTHING with fresh figs. I enjoyed the burrata with fresh figs ( without the prosciutto )— large portion large enough for two as app or even one as a main.
The branzino ( whole but decapitated $45) with a side of fresh spinach was wonderful.
Don’t look for “ bargains” in Aspen. They don’t exist
We celebrated our anniversary here and enjoyed every second from stepping into The Wild Fig for dinner, to leaving at the end of the night. The cocktails are incredible, the whole fish was fabulous, and the service was friendly, engaging, and timely. I highly recommend The Wild Fig!
Excellent food, good atmosphere, friendly and professional service in a fairly tight setting. We thoroughly enjoyed the fig salad, Spanish fish stew stew and puff pastry for dessert. Staff was friendly and professional. bartender made excellent Blantons perfect Manhattans. Good vibe is cool and lively. The only thing that kept this restaurant from obtaining five stars is the closeness of the tables. I think that if management would reduce seating bike two tables The restaurant would be rated five stars and one of the finest that Aspen has to offer
There was a mixup in our reservation, but they were very accommodating. Great service and creative, tasty menu.
Very pleasant staff that were extremely friendly. It was a pleasure to meet, Andy, Anton and Mary Kate. the service made the food experience even better. I loved the wine list too. A must go if in Aspen.
Everything was fabulous. Only comment I'd make is that the seating is VERY tight which adds to the noise inside. it was too cold to eat outside but i've read outside patio is great.
Bar service for drinks and appetizers was outstanding! Outdoor seating was perfect and the food exceptional. Had a small communication glitch with our reservation request but the wait was worth it and the bonus was getting to experience the bar service! Highly recommend!
Great food and correctly priced. Service was spectacular. Only negative was we were seated in a crowded place by the bar. Recommend outside seating if you can get it when the weather is nice.
Don't miss the Chocolate Tartufo for dessert. It's so good we went back a second night just for this dish! It's a sphere of ice cream with a thick coating of dark chocolate sitting on a puddle of salted caramel sauce -- oh my!
Wild Fig is our favorite restaurant in Aspen! The ambiance, inside or out, is inviting and warm. The patio offers a lovely, intimate dining setting with views of beautiful Aspen. Indoor seating is equally inviting with cozy tables and booths. We always enjoy the food at Wild Fig. There are multiple fish choices and delicious homemade pastas.
Steven, our waiter, was friendly, attentive and funny. Loved the service.
I loved this restaurant and it's European bistro feel. We had a seat outside with a view of Smuggler's mountain. The menu is creative and the food was wonderful. Service was excellent. It is a bit pricey but worth it for me.
Anniversary dinner and was perfection
Delicious Wild Fig salad and whole branzino! We enjoyed the fresh mountain air by the open doors after asking to be moved from back corner. Service was wonderful and the birthday cheesecake was greatly appreciated :)
This is by far our favorite restaurant in Aspen. We went for my birthday. The food is always delicious. A top chef and a top notch restaurant. I highly recommend it.
Best in Aspen
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at The Wild Fig. After doing extensive restaurant research, we had a better than expected meal. The Fig salad was a gem, the spicy shrimp very much so 🌶 the videographer @ the next table was a cool cat! Our waiter was so-so. All in all, quite a memorable, romantic and yummy meal.
This wonderful restaurant is consistently delicious. It's on our "must" list ever time we're in Aspen. YUM!
Dinner is usually very good. The fish in a bag was dry this time.
Excellent menu. Excellent food.
Excellent service. Delightful atmosphere. Favorite restaurant in Aspen.
Very tasty and interesting menu. Fairly attentive service, though it was quite busy while we were there. It is a cramped and vibrant space - little tricky for conversation.
We had a great meal with good service on the patio on a beautiful night.
This was our first visit to Wild Fig and it was wonderful. The food was fresh and delicious. The GM helped us with our wine selection and it was superb. All the staff was very attentive. We definitely plan to go back on our next visit to Aspen.
My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday. The entrance into the restaurant is quite awkward, as you have to weave through seated guests on the patio to get to the host stand inside. Once greeted by the hostess, we had the option of sitting on the patio directly beside another couple or inside at a table next to the bar and right beside the kitchen in a heavily trafficked area. We opted to sit at our own table inside. Please note: we made reservations. We both ordered the rhubarb gin and tonic which were relatively sweet and unexpected. Our server was good for the most part, although he urged us to order to more expensive menu items when asking for his requests instead of catering our tastes to what the most enjoyable food option would be for us. We ordered the octopus and chorizo to start which was just alright. No real flavor. The octopus was relatively tender but again, lacked flavor. We also ordered the French onion soup, which was delicious, but it’s also an easily executed menu item. For our main courses, we ordered the seafood fettuccine and nightly risotto. The nightly risotto was delicious with beef and mushrooms, however, the chili vodka cream sauce served with the fettuccine is not at all spicy or hot. It too lacked flavor. A lobster tail complete in the shell comes with that dish which was a surprise. We ordered a bottle of Etude with dinner which was delicious and the woman pouring wine was one of the highlights of our dining experience at the Wild Fig. For dessert, we ordered to cheesecake mousse which was delicious. Our service wasn’t terrible but my boyfriend and I both concluded that we aren’t taken very seriously by our server given how young we were. We didn’t feel like a priority and it seemed as though this is the type of place that enjoys turning tables and doesn’t appreciate customers who like to dine slowly and enjoy the overall experience. When we revisit Aspen, we will likely dine somewhere else.
Everything was beautiful
Great venue. Delicious food. Cozy atmosphere
An evening out with my mother... what a nice combination of delicious cuisine, great service and charming surroundings. We’ll be back! We particularly enjoyed all the ways figs were introduced into the dishes. Delicious even though I’ve never really loved figs. And the wine selection is impressive...
We always come here when in Aspen and it is always very good . We all loved our food except my husband who said the the duck was rubbery. Everything else was delish.
We had an incredible dinner tonight. Our server Kathryn was wonderful!
The food was pretty disappointing, especially after all the buzz. My pasta dish was sad - no flavor, oily, asparagus was flavorless, I ate very little of it. A friend's pork chops were very good, as was the wine. Most other things were only so-so. Suggestion: Wild Fig frites need aioli instead of (or along with) ketchup.
Great menu and excellent food in a trendy location in downtown Aspen. We had a very friendly waiter who was knowledgeable and fun. Food was so good that we would go back if we'd had more time.
Spanish stew was not as good as expected. Waitress never came once to ask about our food
Great restaurant, as always. Predictably top notch food and service.
Do not try this restaurant....noisy, unprofessional service, food not prepared properly
Party of 4 on Saturday evening. Promptly seated and attended to with menus and drink orders. An order of truffle fries didn't arrive with appetizers, when we brought it to waiters attention after main's arrived, just cancelled. Also, one main was to be split with both having sauces on the side, one standard and one non-seafood. Both arrived with seafood sauce on the protein and non-seafood extra sauce on side. Addressed fairly quickly. Also, one entree was ordered with absolutely no sodium added, and it was - not good for someone on low sodium diet.
Having said that, the flavors and quality of food was top notch.
Staff was friendly, but for these prices expect a higher level of attention to detail for what is ordered.
