We had a wonderful New Years Day Brunch ! Food was excellent and staff were friendly and very accommodating.
Perfect for a romantic celebration. Everything was delightful from the beautiful holiday decorations and valet service that greeted us to all the staff working together as a lovely team with just the right amount of checking in on us. The ambiance was festive but not too loud and the music was a great blend of old favorites.
The food was very good. My husband enjoyed his rack of lamb and I had a clam cake and a lobster roll. If I have one suggestion it would to add be a special fish dish - not lobster in a shell which is too messy for fine dining.
I’m so glad we chose the Wharf for our first night out in months. It was just perfect!
It was a lovely experience. The food, drinks, quality of the service and general vibe were just right. In addition, we deeply appreciated the staff wearing masks and having the tables appropriately separated. Thumbs up all around.
We had a wonderful meal and Gualberto and Joelene both made it really special. This was our first time at Joelene’s table and she was fantastic, but Gualberto has been a highlight of every meal we have had at the wharf (and there have been many!). Looking forward to our next visit.
Some items overpriced. Most fairly priced.
Music too energetic and loud.
Beautiful surroundings and ambience.
Wait staff attentive and informed but not excellent.
Excellent chef. Food well prepared and seasoned but not overpowering.
Bartender did not know how to make an old fashioned, muddled an orange and used a lot of small ice cubes, and loaded with simple syrup. Second one came out much better. Food was decent, menu is really small and left a lot to be desired. Small wine list for a nicer restaurant.
The Wharf provides a reliable dining experience in comfortable surroundings. The wait staff is well trained and responsive.
The food was excellent, the plating and presentation of the desserts was particularly notable. The service was friendly and attentive. We always enjoy our visits here for a meal.
We had a very relaxing Christmas Eve lunch on the porch. Warm, quiet and excellent service. The humus+ appetizer was insanely delicious and the butternut soup very, very good. Like my special cosmo as well and it packed quite a punch! I had the salmon encrusted sandwich on brioche. It was okay in that the salmon was on the dry side, cooked a little too long. The icecream cookie sanwich was delicious and enough for the two of us. Thank you and a Merry Christmas!
We had an enjoyable Pre-Christmas lunch. Our waitress was attentive and the food was excellent.
It was a lovely evening for dinner with my daughter. It wasn't crowded, so it was relatively quiet and the service was excellent. Food and drinks were really good as well.
Kim was amazing as our server.
Tables far apart- thank ye!
The best lobster tail I have ever eaten and I have eaten a lot of lobsters!
I should have asked them to move our seats because it was a bit cold being near the door to the outside. That was my fault. Otherwise, it was a lovely experience.
This was our second visit to The Warf and it was every bit as good as our first visit. The food was delicious and Martha provided excellent recommendations and superb service. We will be back!
I have eaten at this restaurant several times over t
The food was extremely expensive and had small portions. The food was good, but for the price I would have thought the food would have been even better. We cannot afford to go back unfortunately.
With such a beautiful setting on the Sound and with such a handsome dining room and attractive porch, why is the menu so limited? The lobster rolls were good and the oysters fresh but there was little else to tempt us. The wine list is by contrast compact and rather good. The limited menu rather cuts against a return visit which is a pity and would not inspire us to take guests there. Can we liven up the kitchen even in these difficult days of staffing?
The Wharf was amazing. The food was great, the service was great and the view was stunning.
It was a lovely evening; the service was outstanding and it was quiet and beautifully decorated for Christmas.
My only disappointment was that I had gone specifically for their signature duck dish
which I have had several times before and was on their on line menu but wasn't available that evening. Their food is good to very good but I was disappointed.
Wonderful wait staff, delicious food, great water views! ( Even in winter!) Festively decorated for the holidays!
This review is for the Thanksgiving buffet only. I’ve eaten many times at this restaurant and enjoyed every meal. The Thanksgiving meal was way over priced for what it was. Desserts tasted like they were bought at a grocery store, the traditional dressing was tasteless, the cocktail sauce was just ketchup, the rolls were cold. Small details but for the price it should be better. How hard is it to warm the rolls!
Roast was raw. We were at the end of the day so maybe that was the problem but it was very disappointing and won’t go back for that.
Really nice Thanksgiving buffet. Will definitely be back next year.
Great new chef! A gem in Madison. Perfect location.
Wonderful view, great service, delicious food. Perfect for lunch.
Food , service , and the view was amazing . I eat here often and it never disappoints. They have wonderful heaters in their porch , so we can eat here year round .
Kevin the waiter was great. Very attentive but not intrusive. Nicely paced meal - never felt rushed.
Fantastic service and very well equipped for handicapped. Brought my mom and Aunt who is handicapped and we were treated exceptionally. I even left my credit card with my receipt and the waiter found us to return the card. 😊 left a wonderful impression on all us and for someone who doesn’t get out much. Great memories.
Great food and ambience. Will return
The setting, food and service at the Wharf never disappoints so we decided to visit for a "Ladies Lunch" before the very cold weather sets in for good. We opted to dine outdoors for "Covid Safety" and it was very pleasant, until the sun came down and the wind kicked in. So, just be sure to dress appropriately if you decide to do the same. I believe there are heaters in some areas but not all sections.
The menu provides a nice variety with daily specials but I opted to repeat the Chicken Waldorf Salad with Lemon Chiffon Cake & Cappuccino for dessert-PERFECT!! In fact, we all did!!
The food is always interesting and delicious. We had a very nice and efficient wait staff person. Sorry to learn of food shortages and subsequent amended menus. But we all ate deliciously and thankfully nonetheless.
Beautiful night on the deck. Heaters, view made for comfortable setting. Jamaican Pork special was the best pork dish I ever had. Waitress was pleasant and accomodating.
The food was excellent and the ambiance great also.
Awesome service and food in a beautiful setting. A truly romantic evening!
Beautiful views and excellent food coupled with attentive servers and other staff.
Yay! Great! we love The Wharf! Went this time with two friends who have never been to Connecticut and they truly enjoyed everything about it!❌⭕️
Beautiful space, makes one expect (and pay for) an upscale experience, but service is always short of the mark, and atmosphere lacking.
So much fun....always! The Wharf is always our go-to...
Was pretty good but lunch menu seemed a little limited. Service and location was very good and what food we ordered was fine.
Nice dinner as we were staying at the hotel and a nor’easter came through. We enjoyed it, the waiter and busser were attentive and sweet.
