Our group met for a late lunch at the Wharf. We thoroughly enjoying the experience. The decor and ambience was outstanding with expansive views of the ocean.
Our server, Jimmy was excellent. He was engaging and professional and responsive to our every need and enhanced our experience. Jimmy was perfect for us.
The menu choices were varied and accommodated vegetarians and shellfish allergy concerns and everything was delicious.
We recommend this restuarant without reservation and plan to dine there again.
The duck was good but had the duck previously and it was much better, unusually delicious. The watermelon salad was very good and quite creative. The service was also very good until the end of the meal and then the waiter disappeared.
It is a lovely restaurant, wonderful view, very nice menu and the food is quite good.
Consistent excellence all around. Food, service, views. Always a pleasurable dining experience.
My husband had the steak but he didn’t really liked it.
Truly exceeded expectations! - excellent service in all ways, - food terrific and imaginative, view beyond description.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The Wharf never disapp oints!
Service was good. Food was average. Clam chowder was excellent and desserts were excellent.
Coffee was cold and meal was okay. It was not hot. Felt like it was not served right away
I would like to see more vegetarian options
We had lunch on their outside patio. The screens were down so the view was obscured but it was still lovely. The waiter was amazing. Food was on point. We had the tuna tartare and oysters Rockefeller-delicious.
Great service, super BLAST sandwich...bacon, LOBSTER, avocado, Swiss, tomatoes all served on grilled Texas toast!
It's very relaxing to sit outside by the water. Service was prompt and friendly. Happy that crab cakes contained lots of crab, not all bread crumbs.
It was my Bday. We ordered the Cioppini and Rack Of Lamb. The Cioppino was great but the Rack of Lamb was terrible. All fat and no meat. Ripoff for $39. Very disappointed. Additionally we ask d for a table on the porch which they said they didn’t have. We got seated by a window inside and the table right outside of us (for two)on the porch was never filled.
Other than that the restaurant has a nice ambiance and service was good
What a bustling restaurant for a hotel that is literally tucked away. I knew it had to be good. Not a surprise to find the bar inviting with wonderful bar tenders as well as regular guests. Definitely a great neighborhood vibe. Food was great. Had dinner and dinner was wonderful. Our server did everything possible to make our visit pleasant. Salmon was outstanding and since I am a “salmon snob” I can say that with confidence. My husband had a grilled cheese with lobster. He said it was good- not my kind of meal. But made well and paired with these amazing housemate chips. I wish I lived closer as I could see that being a Friday night go to. Especially since bars are open!
Beautiful views overlooking Long Island Sound. Excellent seafood.
We had a wonderful experience on Sunday. We sat on the porch overlooking the beach and water. Service was good and appropriate for a busy time of day. The food was very good. Although it was a 90 degree day, the porch stayed cool from the sea breeze and overhead awning. Everyone in my party had an amazing time. I am looking forward to coming back.
Everything was great except the mushrooms that came with my Salmon dinner! They were tough.... even cutting them was hard! Never encountered anything like that before with mushrooms!
Be aware the recommended tip is on the bill plus tax. Not sure why the restaurant deems it necessary to have customers tip on the tax.
Celebrating a friends birthday, the view was great (when fog broke),
the service excellent, and food delicious. The bill rather high- not sure if the new summer menu reflects general post-pandemic price increases or summer season increase.
Delicious! Thank you for having vegan-izable options!
Delicious food! Awesome view. The service was great! Just know there’s no parking but complimentary valet.
Upscale dining with an ocean view. The staff delivers first-rate service with a welcoming vibe. The food is delicious.
Great location and ambiance but the quality of the food left much to be desired.
Nice table on the deck. Appreciated the plexiglass wind shield. Chatted with Governor Lamont who was at the table next to us. Very nice day!!
A nice evening out, enjoying their Lobster Festival.
Perfect day for lunch on the porch-love the ocean views-delicious food-great atmosphere!
Seated at 6:55, took 45 mins to order, without desert did not receive a check until 8:55.
Can't beat the ambiance (we had lunch on the veranda) and the food was awesome. The service was slow, however - but sitting outdoors with the breeze off the water helps with the waiting!
Spectacular view of the ocean, good food and pleasant staff.
Birthday for adult. They presented a candle in the dessert as I requested in notes. Two of the party of 4 had dietary questions. Handled well. great food.
I was a little scared about going to this restaurant after reading recent reviews. However my husband and I had an amazing meal. It came out hot and it was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. The clam chowder was to die for. I have been in New England for over 50 years and it’s the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Did not like the menu at all. Old favorites like calamari and mussels were not on the menu. Clams were tough and chorizo was too spicy for clam dish. Chopped salad was not a true chopped salad although it was adequate. We were here earlier in the spring and the menu was much better. Ambiance as usual was terrific. Wish the menu was better as ambiance is not enough to make up for poor menu choices.
One of my favorite lunch places
Year round porch dining with a view of the Long Island Sound
Located conveniently in the Madison Beach hotel
Ample parking including self serve or valet
Three of us came for an early dinner. Food and service were very good except they forgot to bring us bread. We had to ask. And the waiter did not tell us one of the specials that we overheard being recited to another table. Other than that, very accommodating and a nice meal overall. Dessert choices are minimal as was the tea choice. The sauce on the salmon was very good as was the crab timbale. Steak was cooked perfectly. I was led to believe we couldn't reserve an outside table, but that was not the case so I missed out as all were reserved when we arrived. Overall though, very good. I will come back.
Beautiful view while eating a well prepared dinner. Wait staff was terrific...friendly and attentive!
I have to say the Restaurant itself is very beautiful. We also got to sit outside and the weather was great. That being said. The service wasn’t good. Not the waiters fault at all by the way. The restaurant seemed very busy and it seemed that she had way too many tables to take care of which I assume was due to understaffing. We waited forever to get any service at all and when we finally got a chance to order our food we waited even more to then get the wrong things. We didn’t send the food back since we didn’t want to wait another long period of time. The waiter was very apologetic and very nice so once again it wasn’t her fault. The strange thing is that a table of more people came after us and got taken care of very quickly. I think that after this experience I’d rather eat elsewhere.
Beautiful venue, friendly staff. Had to ask for things 2x. First cocktail was made incorrectly. Had shrimp cocktail app with a great cocktail sauce, only one piece of lemon, had a nice bottle of wine. Had a crab cake sandwich which was just average in my opinion. Could have used water refills etc. had to ask for these sorts of service. I would still recommend the restaurant.
I am sure it is not usually very noisy, but a group of literal shouting 90 year olds constantly interrupted us to ask us questions throughout our entire meal. It was cute at first, but by the time the woman stood up, and leaned over my table to ask what I had ordered, I was angry.
Service was great though.
Excellent dining experience!
Good all around. Clam Chowder was my favorite part.
A beautiful spot for a delicious lobster roll on Long Island Sound
