Get the paella, you will not regret it. I've had many great paella dishes around the world, this is one of the best I've had!
Amazing service, food was Delicious and the added bonus is that it's right in the resort.
We had dinner and breakfast next day.
Both times they seated us at a broken down leaning table with a big electric box under one chair. We moved ourselves to another table.
The servers were attentive and experienced.
Thank you for the wonderful experience, it was amazing!
We went for our anniversary dinner. The food and service was amazing!
The Best Ropa Vieja ! Great portion sizes, comes with maduros, white rice and black beans. Great cocktails. No trip to Vero Beach is complete without a trip to The Wave Kitchen & Bar.
Everything was great
Excellent Cuban-inspired menu with prompt, friendly service and fresh ingredients. Paella a la Costa for two is an ample portion of delicious food with lots of leftovers. Service by David was attentive and efficient. Good option for a special occasion.
We were celebrating our anniversary which was specified on the reservation. No acknowledgement of the anniversary when we were checked in. We did mention it to the waiter. This restaurant is inside of the Costa d ‘Este Beach Resort & Spa (important to note since it does not say that on Open table) with valet parking. We ordered cocktails & our appetizer, crispy calamari and shrimp to share, they both arrived, and they were very good. I ordered the Fresh Fish of the day which was Grouper & my husband had the Paella a La Costa, both were very good, tasty & memorable. The service was spot on, and overall, it was a great way to start our anniversary weekend. We ordered desert and the waiter had them put a Happy Anniversary on the plate it was delicious as well as eye pleasing. The restaurant has a modern upbeat vibe and enjoyable to dine. We would highly recommend them.
Some restaurants that carry a celebrity's name don't always live up to the hype. This is one that does. Pricy...yes, ambiance...second to none, service...impeccable, food quality...best of the best. This is the type of upscale restaurant you would expect in a large city like NY, Chicago or LA. Gloria Estefan did it right!
Staff appears inexperienced. More attention to cleanliness of tables between entrees. Big portions. Great meal
I would recommend this place to anyone. Both the service and food were terrific. The ropa vieja was authentic and my steak was cooked perfectly. We will eat here again.
Fish ceviche app and seafood paella were outstanding and plentiful. The octopus and pork belly app was delicious but only came with 1 piece of pork belly and a generous portion of octopus. With 8-9 occupied tables around us, the restaurant volume got loud...not too hard to hear your spouse, but loud enough where you could hear other people's conversations.
Excellent service! Thank you Jackie, you were wonderful! The food is exceptional! We are here on vacation and we are looking forward to returning. Thank you for a wonderful delicious dinner experience
Service was Exceptional. Food was delicious and presentation of food was outstanding.
Very nice place; we going for our anniversary and everything was wonderful. The Wine, the food and our server, Jackie, the best, 5 stars for her. We come back on the future.
Everything was perfect
The wagyu burger with cheddar and avocado is delicious; same goes for their blackened shrimp and ahi tuna and salmon tartare dishes. Very good wine list and excellent , caring service. Go!
Before I tell about my disappointing night here, I want to say that this is a restaurant I come to regularly when I'm in town. I've been here for all my anniversaries since 2015, usually get here for at least one dinner and a lunch when I come in for a week. That being said, last night was not good. The evening started bad when I pulled up to the valet and there was nobody there. He wasn't parking cars, he pulled up on a bike after waiting for 5 minutes or so. Guess he was pulling double duty. My wife ordered the grilled octopus as an appetizer. It came out BURNT! Full pieces of the octopus were totally burnt, not charred from the grill. When she went to send it back, our server told her he would ask the kitchen if it was prepared properly. He then came out with the same plate and told us this is how it should be. We've ordered this appetizer here many times before and never was it burnt. I've had this server many times and he is one if not the best servers I've ever had. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I can only believe management has changed some policies because he knew they wouldn't remake the dish. I ordered the Cuban steak for my entree with rice, black beans, and fried plantains, my favorite dish. The steak was good, rice was lukewarm at best. My wife ordered a filet with seasonal vegetables, and the broccoli was cold. The green beans and carrots were not. The kitchen did not have a good night. Had this been my first time there, I'd probably not go back. To cap off my night, I waited another 10 minutes to get my car. The valet was off somewhere else again. I'm hoping that part of the problem last night is the restaurants losing good people because of covid. I will probably give them another chance, but will wait awhile before I do.
It was quiet because we were one of the only tables. The food is always excellent though pricey. We’ve been there previously and will most likely return.
Food & service outstanding. Espresso martini one of my favorites. The shrimp truffle scampi with squid ink pasta could compete with Venice Italy. And the paella was delicious.
Best Fresh caught Local Fish Ceviche in Vero beach.
We drive 90 minutes from Palm Beach Island just to have the Ropa Viejo which we believe is the best Braised Beef dish served in the world.
Food was amazing and server was on point.
I was very surprised. 7/23/2021. Food was great. Hotel/
Restaurant was AMAZING.
the filet mignon was very small, the paella rice mushy, the drinks small glass you ask what occasion for what reason I don't know because nothing special was offer then you ask for complamentary i said a dessert even that was offer
It was our first time dining at The Wave and it will be our last. We made a reservation, which was encouraged and upon arrival we were shown to our table in what looked like a cafeteria. The view of the pool and the outside bar with shirtless bar patrons going by, trolly's of luggage from people checking in and an obvious territorial contest between two barking dogs wasfar from the " beautiful views of the ocean from the dining room" we had read about.
We asked our server about a few of the menu items and her recommendations and were given quick simple answers which did nothing tomake us ecited about any choices. We placed our order and were served a basket of soft dinner rolls that were cut iin half, toasted and served with plantain butter... a tasteless filler at best.
I ordered a cup of the Black Bean soup and a Blackened Chicken Ceasar; my son ordered the Cuban Marinated Pork and my husband ordered the Cuban 1/2 Chicken. My soup arrived and we all tasted and were delightfully surprised and savored every drop. Itold our server how much we enjoyed the soup in which her reply was, "Good, cause you're getting more with your dinners" and she was not kidding. The side dish (besides rice) that comes with the Cuban dishes....yes, the Black Bean soup. The pork and chicken dishes were both flavorful and not dry. My salad, however, was another story. The shrimp (not blackened) were not fresh and watery/rubbery. I sent them back and told our server I was fine to just stick with the Ceasar salad. Two bites in I regretted not sendiing that back as well. The lettuce was wilty and the dressing had no flavor. The croutons clearly from a bag (as I believe the lettuce was as well), was very disappointing. No need to chance our luck with desert, so we paid the bill and left.
For a Hotel, Spa and Restaurant that is supposed to have a 4 Star rating, either we hit it on a very off night or this is the new acceptable to patrons. Very disappointing.
We had both their octopus and whitefish ceviches to start our dinner. They were superb - tender, with just the right amount of citrus, cilantro, and jalapeno. My wife had their Cuban Pollo Asada with a Crioja Sauce. The chicken was moist and delightful, and the sauce was excellent. I had the Lechon Asado for my entree. It was good, but the chicken was better.
Dessert was our only disappointment. We had the bourbon pecan pie. It was served in a small, thick tartlet shell and was more of a caramel custard than a pecan pie.
Service was attentive and the noise level was reasonable for a crowded restaurant. We will definitely eat there next time we're in Vero Beach.
Good service. Good food. Went for brunch - good menu variety. A tad noisy.
This location is idyllic; the service was flawless and friendly; the atmosphere was soothing and inviting. I would go back there again and again.
The food was delicious, The service was hospitality at it's finest. They went above and beyond for all my requests.
Ceviche was incredible. The steaks on the hot granite are the best!
Awesome spot, great food and service. In the middle of town and easy parking.
The food was excellent and quick service. The drinks were good and quite a good value overall.
Great choices, very good food and attractive presentation.
We had a perfect night , that started at happy hour and went on to Dinner and drinks by the ocean.
It's very noisy, otherwise very good food and service
Good food in a beautiful atmosphere. Service was exceptional!
The menu was varied and offered some interesting and tasty dishes
I had the seared sea scallops which were amazing My husband had the slow roasted pork which was just ok
Fish spread was outstanding
I know that all restaurants are struggling these days but the food was okay but the prices were so high. I expected more for the price of the dishes but I think this is the COVID reality. I have eaten at The Wave a number of times and I was most disappointed with both the food and the service. There were also very large parties the evening we were there and the noise level was very loud. As this was a special occasion dinner, I had hoped for better. I will return but I will probably wait a while until servers have more time to develop their skills.
