   For the past 5 years, we have been going to The Washington House for Mother's Day and Father's Day brunch. We've always enjoyed it. The food and service is always great. Plus, we love the atmosphere and the character of the restaurant. But, today, I think that the restaurant was overbooked. The food was great but we had to wait for almost 20 minutes or so just to get water. When we were finally waited on, we placed our full order. We got our drinks, bread and appetizer pretty quickly. We ate our food and then we waited again for 20 minutes or so to see our waitress. Didn't see her anywhere. Was looking for a refill and the main course. I really don't think that it was our waitress who was at fault. I think that the restaurant overbooked. We never had this problem before. We have reservations for Father's Day and looking forward to it. But, I hope that the restaurant won't be overbooked this time.

   Ehh, I have had better experiences at this same establishment. I was surprised to find how lean they were running the staff on a Wednesday night. Essentially, there is no dedicated bar/pub wait staff. They were leveraging more of a "utility player" format whereby our waitress was the bartender, the waitress for the pub, the waitress for the patio AND an occasional waitress for the main dining room. Other than that, the meal and the ambience were good.

We certainly do not intend to run lean on staff, however it does occasionally happen when we are unexpectedly busy.    So very nice to give personalized menus for our Anniversary. Staff were are so nice and sweet. Will definitely be coming back.

   The Washington House is an especially great place to visit for a special occasion. The food is delicious and interesting and the ambiance is quite nice. We have never been disappointed in the years we've been dining there from time to time.

   This visit was a late lunch / early supper. It was a perfect mid-afternoon. The food, the staff, the setting are the finest in this area. And it has been that way for many years.

   Always reliable. Seated on time. Beet salad appetizer ways good. Both the duck and the filet were prepared too salty for us, otherwise very good. Strawberry rhubarb crisp was excellent and better than some other local restaurants! Finished in time for Sellersville theater program.
