The Washington House - Pennsylvania
Entree was perfect and desserts were outstanding. Would do it again.
very nice establishment. our waitress, Sara was fantastic.
I had gumbo. Excellent. Wife had scallops
Appetizer. Cornbread w/ sauce not so good, scallops good. For entree I had bourbon pork loin. Excellent. Wife had lamb bolognese, very good, noodles were excellent. For dessert we shared the rum raisin apple crisp. Very good, not exceptional. The house coffee was exceptional. Overall the scallops appetizer needs work.
Food was delicious!
A memorable visit for my entire party. Good drinks from the bar, excellent appetizers, entrees, and deserts. An wonderful start to a great evening, with the show at the beautiful ST94 theater next door.
My wife and I have been here a few times and never hesitate to come back. Good tables. Good food. Decent wine list. The staff was solid, if a bit overwhelmed at times, but it was a busy concert night.
Pleasant , friendly server & Lunch choices were outstanding.
Very nice place . Was surprised to see Micky Dolenz from the Monkees come in and sat behind me . Best day ever
Love the Washington house, great food for great price 👍🏻
Nice quint place came in for a show stayed the night at Inn
The food was excellent, from our salads to the entrees. We arrived to a very crowded pre-show Washington House, but settled in quickly at the bar for a cocktail. Upon being seated we enjoyed good service and dining experience. While we did have an issue with one of the entrees that came out, they promptly addressed it. We'd visit again.
A wonderful place for a special occasion meal. Our waiter suggested the perfect wine pairing for our meal. Will definitely be back again.
Great service and fabulous food! I have been going to this restaurant over 20 years and have never had a bad meal or experience.
Food was fantastic! Valentines weekend so very crowded. Lovely table by the windows. Very cozy but sadly cold as the temperature was frigid.
Great bar/tavern area I would love to sit in next visit!
It is a quaint restaurant. The food is delicious and there are wonderful choices. Also nice choices for wine by the glass. Great service!
Everything was excellent with the exception that we sat at the window and it was very cold at that location
My wife and I had an 8:45 PM reservation this past Valentine's Day. Overall, the experience was pleasant. We arrived at 8:20 and the Hostess told us we had to wait for the them to seat the 8:30 guest. My wife and I waited until 8:45 and no one came to get us. So, we returned to the hostess stand and were told that the tables were being prepared. As I looked around there were plenty of open tables. The vibe we got from the 2 hostesses was a cold as the frigid 19-degree temperature outside. The service was slow even though the restaurant did not seem busy. My soup was only warm and tasted like canned soup. My tea was also warm and had to ask for hot water. The portions were small and the time between servings was painful. My 14 oz NY Steak was well-done vs. Medium and the steak knife provide was more like a dull butter knife. We both drank our glasses of water and were never offered more. Other than that, we enjoyed each other’s company being it was our 33rd wedding anniversary.
Valentine’s Day Fixed menu, was amazing. The short ribs al always fantastic there.
Great four course Valentine Day dinner
Favorite locale - Bill & Elaine are great hosts. Excellent food / value.
Nice birthday dinner. Food was great, as usual. Quaint atmosphere. Dessert with a candle was complementarity and delicious!
Food was great, it was a Monday night so it wasn’t noisy.
Friendly service as always.
the Long Trail beer tasting was very well run. Friendly and knowledgeable staff made for a fun evening.
Thanks, Michael! We have had a beer tasting the first Friday of every month for over 20 years. Themes each month are posted on our website. We hope to see you next month!
Came for dinner before a show at the Sellersville Theater. Beautiful old building; food is terrific.
We enjoyed our visit. The food was wonderful and our Server was attentive and very pleasant. The noise level was a bit too high but we still had a wonderful experience
As plays, the food was delicious! And the servers go out of their way to be sure you get to your show on time.
Nice place but nothing special
We had a great dinner at the Washington House. The setting is an 1800s Inn. The food was very good and was priced very reasonably. My wife had salmon and she loved it. I really enjoyed the striped bass. Our server was very friendly an attentive. I only wish I had room to try the chocolate chi pecan pie.
Thanks, so much for you nice review, Mitchell! Definitely save room for dessert next time-all of our desserts are made in house by our wonderful pastry chef, Sharon.
We stop in before concerts-
Service is excellent
People are very friendly
Lost the place
A wonderful restaurant, great menu and delicious and right next door to the Sellersville Theater.
Friend’s birthday-the waitress brought out her choice of dessert with a candle and we sang “happy birthday” which was so nice.
Crab cakes & shrimp cakes were excellent. Glass of Albariño wi e washed it all down.
Terrible service. We eat here at least once a month and our service has never been worse. We will not return. Waitress was terrible. Didn't even keep our water glasses full. Got our charges wrong on our bill TWICE!
Julie, We are so sorry that your service was not up to your standards, or ours! I would really like to hear more about your visit so we can do better in the future. Please don't give up on us because of one bad experience after many good ones- we would like to have the opportunity to make things up to you. Elayne Brick, proprietor 215-257-3000
As always service was great as well as the Pork Osso Buco Special
Always the best!
Every visit to the Washington House is a wonderful experience.
Had dinner with my wife at The Washington house prior to catching a concert at the theater next door. The menu had a nice variety of choices, we got the crab cakes and scallops and both tasted great! Relaxed atmosphere, business casual is a good description. Service was quick and friendly, I had no complaints. If in Sellersville again, I would come back!
It’s a great old inn. Exactly what you expect, and then so much more than you’d expect. Better food, beer and vibe than so many similar tavern/inns.
Thanks so much, Adam! Our goal is to exceed expectations by treating each of our guests as an individual! so glad you noticed!
I really like the Washington House. It is a great restaurant by itself, but it has the added features of the Sellersville Theatre next door and the hotel upstairs.
The food is excellent and the service is great.
