We came for a quick, light supper before a show at the Sellersville Theater. We were pleased to be able to choose a sandwich from the dinner menu. The service was polite and fast. Amount of food was just right. We made it to the show with time to spare. We will definite do this again.

Carly, our server, was the best and made an already delightful dining experience that much better. The food was served in a timely fashion and paced perfectly. When we asked some questions about the drink and food menus she answered our queries completely. When we added an extra person without prior notice it was handled promptly and patiently. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Our waitress was really good, I cannot remember her name, unfortunately. We were there on Saturday night, 6:00 1/13/18. The place was crowded, full, and loud. The wait staff was super busy. But we never felt like we were being rushed, which was incredible.
I have to tell you, the woman who was refilling water glasses (young, blonde) was so very great. She had a big smile, a calm demeanor, and was very friendly. Loved her!!!
We had a wonderful meal.

It is with great sadness that I write this review. We have LOVED meals at the WH for over 25 years as a couple and with many friends. We had not been in sometime and this past weekend we were given a gift certificate for the restaurant and theater as a Christmas gift.I am not sure why the food quality and portions have declined so much? We used to leave stuffed and satisfied-we left hungry and disappointed. My husband ordered the shrimp, scallops and risotto-the risotto was not cooked-the rice was hard he got 2 shrimp and 2 scallops in his bowl.He is not one to complain or send his food back but it was terrible, the waitress did say "they changed the risotto recipe and it others had complained also"-they took my husbands meal off our bill. I had the filet-the SMALL square plate was primarily covered in a mashed sweet potato, about 5 string beans and a filet the size of a lg. mushroom-although it tasted good it was not worth the price. I had 2 wines and he had iced tea, we split a sorbet ,one salad, and a risotto app and our bill was $85.00 with his meal taken off!! So it was basically $85.00 for one meal :0( I am sorry to say that I don't think we will be returning any time soon. Please go back to your normal round white plates filled with delicious ,brag worthy, "Instagram worthy" satisfying food!

The food was just ok. With how much money you spend you expect amazing. Was not that impressed and the amount of time it took was extremely long. Tables being sat after us we’re getting their food before us. The wait staff was obviously in the weeds and constantly apologizing to customers. They also were out of things. A draft beer was out then another table had issues getting a soda! Just was not my cup of tea that’s all.

Very nice New Year’s Eve dinner. Service was great even though restaurant was full. They make nice cocktails - they should have a full cocktail menu!

We went on New Year’s Eve and we were pleasantly surprised that the food was delicious. Even though some elements were fixed, each course was amazing. Our server was very friendly. My only suggestion would be that groups were given more time but as a couple we were rushed through each course. We would have liked to enjoy the ambiance a little longer.

One of the best restaurants in Upper Bucks for fine cuisine found in a restored old tavern. The food is always wonderful, and the staff are attentive and friendly.

We went for Christmas Eve brunch. We’ve gone for brunch before it’s always great. They offer a Prix Fix menu. You get three courses with lots of delicious choices. The food is always wonderful and plentiful. We usually share a dessert and bring one home (desserts included!). We highly recommend the Washington House! I had chicken with gnocchi! It was amazing!

Christmas Eve brunch. Food was delicious! Service was awful. Waitress was non-existent at our table. No drink refills through entire meal as we sat with empty glasses. Never brought requested coffee at end of meal, and it took four times to get the check corrected, after overcharging by nearly $45. It was blamed on a computer glitch, but took over 20 minutes to get fourth and final corrected check. Unfortunately, the tip was a reflection of the poor service. The whole Christmas Eve brunch experience was pretty disappointing. As initially stated, the food was excellent, as always.

The continental breakfast which goes along with an overnignt stay left a lot to be desired. For the price of the stay at the hotel, there should be more options available. Cereal as an option, at least. Also, more staff to tend breakfast. The yogurt was very good, but the fresh fruit was left empty.

The room and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Nice diverse wine list at dinner.

The biggest frustration was the inability to purchase gift cards in the morning. I was told at the bar the night before I could purchase gc's anytime. When I wanted them at 9am the next morning, the staff didn't know how to sell them. They said I would have to wait until 10am. Not an option when you have to get back on the road. They called a manager who couldn't walk them through the process. Very frustrating! A few hundred dollars went to another restaurant.

We (four adults) went to the Washington House for dinner before a show we were seeing at the Selllersville Theater. The ambience and service were very good. However, the food was fair at best. After a considerable wait, our dinners arrived. Of the four entrees, three were barely warm. You could tell they had been sitting somewhere. We told our concerns to our waitress who immediately returned the entrees to the kitchen. When the entrees were returned they were hotter but not piping hot like a freshly prepared dinner should be. I can honestly say that we won’t be returning to the Washington House again.

We have eaten here numerous times and this was the first bad experience. The restaurant was very busy on a Friday night before what appeared to be a sold out show at the Sellersville Theater next door. Service was slow. Food took a long time to arrive and was not hot. Neither of our entrees were up to standard. Ordered a second beer that never arrived. We did see managers on the floor which was good to help the situation. We noticed that the other diners in the area we we're seated in had a similar experience to us. Maybe a bad night for the staff and restaurant. We will eat here again but will probably try someplace different before the next show we go to see.

We've been to the Washington House many times but our visit on Dec. 1st was very poor.
It appeared the restaurant was understaffed for such a busy night. Our food took a long time to come out and we were going next door for a show. We then had to gobble down our dinner. Both my son's and my beef were overdone. My son was suppose to have french fries but they never came out. I was suppose to have asparagus but instead received green beans. This is not the type of service we've had in the past. Very disappointing.

The bar and wait staff are always very nice. Bummer it is was my third visit where a beef item was completely overcooked. So $11 for a dry burger with potato chips. I also wish they would take away just a few bar stools because bar seating is super tight. That being said, it is a fine Sellersville Theater pre-show dinner option and if you speak up they will try to solve any meal issues.
