Semi-casual attire is accepted and reservations are recommended. Our dining room is open 7 Nights a week starting at 5:00pm.

We have the perfect area for private parties and can handle a variety of groups, clubs and events. If you are in need of catering, we are your catering resource. We will come to you for parties as big or small as you like. Whether it's a camp house, bay house, church, farm, wharf or even your house, we’ll be there. Catering for all occasions. We booked this restaurant while visiting fairhope for my birthday, and noted on the reservation we'd like to be sat in a quiet corner. We arrived and were sat at a 4 top in the middle of the dining room next to very loud parties. We couldn't even hear each other during the meal from the cackling parties. It was not pleasant experience and totally killed the vibe of the evening. The candle was not lit and we asked the server to light it and she seemed annoyed and rushed. She finally came back and lit it and took our order. We didn't see her much throughout the meal. She came to bring the check and didn't even offer dessert. We asked about the desserts and she named 3 things. We declined and she closed our check. As we were sitting finishing our wine we noticed another table had a creme brulee, which was not one of the 3 things our waitress offered us. We flagged their waitress and she was so sweet and was happy to put in an order for us. It was good, but overall the experience was lacking, especially for the price and how people had raved about this restaurant. We had higher expectations. The next night we went to another highly rated restaurant down the street (jesses) and finally got the experience we'd been hoping for on this special birthday trip. Wish we'd gone there the previous night instead of this place. Very disappointing.

Compliments to the chef! The menu choices and food were hands down delightfully delicious. However, even though the dining room ambience was beautifully inviting and in good taste, our party of three was in the midst of six and eight tops. The surrounding parties were so loud that we couldn’t hear one another without nearly yelling, forget trying to understand the waiter. Even after an exchange with the waiter about the noise, we were left to it. In a restaurant where the average price per person is $100+, it would have completely been appropriate to relocate our small, quiet party to the empty section of small tables away from the noisy larger parties but this was not even a thought for the staff. We left the restaurant wanting to brag about the experience but found it impossible to do so. I write this in hopes that management will considerate this with future diners. Thank you.

We celebrated our 52nd Anniversary at the Wash House with our daughter on June 17. This was our first visit to the Wash House that we selected based on the recommendations of others who have lived in the area for a number of years and from reading reviews. They had our table ready and waiting for us when we arrived at our designated reservation time and seated us immediately. Our server, Derek, was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Derek was comfortable making suggestions for our appetizers, entrees and wine. He was attentive to our needs but was not intrusive. Derek took our drink orders shortly after we were seated. My wife ordered the Merlot by the glass which she enjoyed and I had a gin martini, shaken not stirred, with abundant ice crystals. For appetizers I had the gumbo, the Mrs. had the steak tartare and our daughter had the shrimp tower. All 3 dishes were excellent. The Mrs. loved the steak tartare and it’s a rare offering at all but the most upscale restaurants. The gumbo was delicious but perhaps a tad on the spicy side for this senior citizen. Our daughter had the shrimp tower and she let me sample one of her shrimp which was perfectly grilled with firm texture and savory spices. The shrimp was so good that she changed her entree choice to shrimp and grits. For entrees, my wife had the Divers scallops which she said were so tender they almost melted in her mouth. I had the Chateaubriand which was served perfectly medium rare accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. The asparagus was cooked perfectly for my taste, firm but tender. Our daughter said the shrimp and grits were awesome. For dessert, we selected the Bailey’s cheesecake. It was delicious but lacked the firm cheesecake texture that we’re accustomed to. The timing between courses was excellent. We never had to wait long between courses and courses were served at the proper temperature. We highly recommend the Wash House.

This was our first time to the wash house, it most definitely won't be our last! We went to celebrate our friend's 40th birthday, kid free. Our waitress was so patient as we kept forgetting to look at the menu because we were too busy running our mouths! Our appetizers, salads, entrees and dessert were DELICIOUS!! We ended up staying 3 hours we had such a wonderful time!
