   Amazing ambience and service. Andrew was our server. Food is very good but in my opinion not excellent. I would go for the steak next time instead of shrimp and grits But we absolutely will go back.

   I brought my 2 adult daughters there for a little mom/ daughter trip. The atmosphere was quaint and relaxing. The food and key lime dessert were scrumptious!! We will be back and next time I’ll bring my sweet daughter in love with us also! 💗

   The Wash House never disappoints. We booked a reservation through open table and requested champagne be brought to the table upon arrival. The staff followed through on the request without me having to remind them. The table was ready when we arrived. The food was amazing. Our server, Kaitlyn, was great. We will be back.

   The oyster lettuce wraps are amazing. Overall everything we got was delicious. I preferred the special blackened snapper over the crab encrusted redfish that my husband ordered. It is pricey, but flavors are good. The only downside was that we were seated at a tiny table and it was tight. It was also our anniversary and I noted that on the open table reservation, but that was not acknowledged in any way. That was a miss.

    Quiet secluded restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Greeting and service were excellent. Food was good and the only thing for me was that I would have liked a little more portions for the side dishes. For a nice ambience and special occasions, this is the place to visit.

    The most fabulous meal I’ve had in a long time. Our waiter tried to rush us through. No problem, I can chew every bite 27 times. You will NEVER rush me.

    We had reservations for 2 at 6pm and when we arrived the hostess thought we were due at 7:30. She was nice about it and seated us anyway at the table I requested. My husband got a Wash house salad and the snapper special. He liked both of his except would’ve preferred a different side with the fish rather than mushroom risotto. I got the scallops which were delicious, but the cooked greens were gritty. My waitress got me some asparagus instead so very satisfied. Very good meal and service.

    Great food and service. Noise level prior to about 9:15-9:30 was high. This isn't unusual with many restaurants these days, but it makes it difficult to carry on a conversation without raising your voice.

    The waitress did a poor job. She failed to clear out table of anything. Also, she never stopped to check on refills or more drinks and said nothing when she dropped the bill on our table.

    We were entertaining friends from Canada and took them to the Washhouse, because we have been before and loved it each time. It did not disappoint. Everything we ate was delicious, and Gabby was an excellent server. We all left satisfied after dining at this Point Clear gem!

    My wife and I returned to the Point Clear area with another couple after being away for several years. My wife and I had a nice meal there when we were there before. So I recommended to the other couple that we try The Wash House. We were all very pleased with our experience at The Wash House. Everyone enjoyed their entree. I can personally testify that the tigger fish was excellent. We spent four days in the area and all agreed that our meal at The Wash House was our best of the trip.

    We were staying at the Grand Hotel for an anniversary visit and after one meal there thought it would be interesting to try and find a menu with more varied seafood selections. The Wash House was so conveniently located, about a mile away. We made 6:30 reservations (early for us) and that worked perfectly for time to enjoy cocktails before dinner. My Sazerac and my husband’s Negroni were both excellent, and we have a practiced hand. My appetizer of three delicate oysters on butterleaf lettuce leaves with aioli sauce was lovely, both presentation and taste. His crab cakes weren’t exactly what he expected as they were small fried nuggets, but that’s perhaps personal taste since we are used to broiled lump crab. He raved about the redfish and my grilled scallops were divine. There’s a very nice wine selection by or bottle our server, Derek, was friendly yet efficient and we never felt rushed. We travel and dine out often and we’re so impressed that we’ve been spreading the word about The Wash House to our friends and family nearby. Make a reservation and go!!

    No doubt, whenever we are fortunate to find ourselves in Pt. Clear, AL, we are going to be at the Washhouse at least once. We had a large crowd this time: family and also friends who live in the area joining us for dinner. The food is always fantastic and they bent over backwards to accommodate our group which included young ones. Really an outstanding dining experience!

    Parking is nearly impossible at the restaurant in the early evening! Staff called us 2 MINUTES after our 6:15pm reservation time, and asked where we were and what happened! We had just parked down the road, at the Zundel’s park! And yes, I had confirmed our reservation earlier in the day. Cocktails were great, as always! Food was good! Staff were rushed and rather mechanical, and so we felt very hurried. Parking is an increasingly negative aspect of dining at The Wash House. Walking along the unlit road to the restaurant, either on the road shoulder, or across the road on the narrow walking trail, is unpleasant.

    Excellent food. Wedge delicious. Need to add Russian dressing. Filet tasty. Need to add rib eye or Kobe option. Great they have corkage. Reds list needs upgrade. Dessert incredible.

    We came to eat for an early Valentine's dinner. Food and service is amazing as usual! Our server Kaitlyn went out of her way to make our dinner an enjoyable and wonderful experience. Even teaching me how to make one of their signature martinis! Our go to place for date nights.

    Paige was a lovely server and the food was fabulous!! Loved that. The manager greeted us at the door, and that the hostess had our waters ready with bread served immediately. Fabulous evening, and a great choice!

    After reading several reviews we were excited to visit The Wash House. Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. We arrived early and were told we could enjoy the bar while we waited. After sitting there for 10 mins the manager asked if we would like a drink. Ordered a nice glass of wine and an Old Fashioned. The old fashioned was disappointing $15 for a called bourbon and it was made with cheap maraschino cherries and filled with soda water. Would have been better off just with the bourbon on rocks. Appetizer: Duck Wontons: Decent but had a previously frozen texture did not taste fresh made. Entree: Lamb chops correctly cooked but not quality meat. Extremely tough and two had hard gristle. Chimichurri was good. Second Entree was Pork Shank. Good flavor and tender. Menu claimed sweet potato gnocchi’s. There was gnocchi however not made with sweet potato and very gummy most likely a pre purchased product and chunks of cut sweet potato in the ju. Deserts: crème brûlée: very disappointing all burnt sugar with very tiny amount of crème. Second desert was key lime bread pudding. It was ok not blow your mind good but not bad. Overall we’d have a hard time returning to the Wash House justifying the over $100 per person price tag for a dated menu, lack of real bartender and disappointing food quality. Better options out there.

    Wonderful dinner. The waitress seemed to be in a hurry to move us along. We requested bread twice and she told us it would be out of the oven in a minute, but never brought it to us!
