   Everyone was courteous, welcoming and attentive. The ambiance is casual and comfortable but low country elegant at the same time. The service was efficient and the food was excellent.

   We were a party of 6 adults and 5 children which is aways hard in a restaurant. But the Wash House always delivers, our waiter was wonderful. He kept our food delivered timely. The lamb chops, scallops, and pork chop were excellent. The flounder and filet also. The cheesecake and key lime bread pudding are worth the trip!

   Service was fabulous. The oyster wraps are to die for. The only downside I can come up with is that the selection of entrees is somewhat limited. But everything we had was very well executed, including the cocktails. We had visited the Wash House 20+ years ago and were not impressed; but it’s much, much better now!

   We eat here regularly and it is consistently fabulous every visit. The staff is always friendly. Paige is always so knowledgeable and helpful with food specials and drinks. You truly need to try it! You will not be disappointed.

   Awesome meal. Best gumbo I have ever tasted. The food was incredible and service was personal and perfect. We had key lime bread pudding for dessert . It was exquisite. The margaritas were top shelf. What a lovely way to spend our anniversary together.

    Our first time to the Wash Room did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and even greater food! You could tell it was a great spot when majority of the people were locals. I highly recommend this restaurant!

    Excellent food, service & atmosphere. The music was a nice calm selection but a tad loud for me. I have accurate hearing so I’m more sensitive to noice levels than most people. Thursday is the best night to eat out, not today crowded. I will be going back. Thx for a wonderful evening.

    It is a beautiful location and quaint. The inside of the restaurant was a bit dark, but not so much you couldn't read menus or anything. The food was ok, not very imaginative and the execution left quite a bit to be desired. We bought a bottle of wine that we opened and poured for ourself. The waitress delivered it to the table and never did anything with it after that. I had the flounder that was stuffed and had a mildly spicy sauce. It was ok. My wife opted for the red grouper special. It was very underwhelming. Came with a saffron mash and succotash. The price tag on that was $50, with an add on of 3 fried oysters that were way overdone. We had also mentioned in the reservation that is was my wife's birthday and the waitress after delivering the check asked about who's birthday it was. Had heard good things, maybe we hit an off night.

    We celebrated our 52 anniversary along with our friends who celebrated their 51st at The Wash House and it was a wonderful experience! It was beautiful inside, the food was delicious, and our server was amazing! Our server, Kaitlyn was so attentive and met our every need. My husband and I have celebrated our anniversary here for the past 3 years and have also brought our daughter to celebrate her birthday. We highly recommend The Wash House!

    Excellent food and ambience! Service was good, but we were there for a relaxing birthday dinner, and our server kept asking us if we were ready to order yet, after we explained we wanted to take our time. Just not as friendly or interactive as other servers seemed to be.

    This was our first trip to Point Clear and many told us that we needed to go to the Wash House. It did not disappoint. The exterior of the restaurant was an unpainted, weathered clapboard siding building. If it didn't have a sign on it, you would think it was abandoned! But once you get to the entrance, it is a well-maintained, elegant restaurant with lots of charm. The crusty bread service with a whipped honey garlic butter was outstanding and made us cry for more. For an appetizer, we had the Shrimp Stack which included gulf shrimp, fried green tomato, fresh mozzarella, tomato cream sauce. It had great flavor but we would have preferred for the fried green tomatoes to be sliced more thinly. We also had the wedge salad which featured cherry tomato, cucumber, Conecuh bacon, bleu cheese, croutons, green goddess dressing. We shared this had it came out divided on two plates. cherry tomato, cucumber, Conecuh bacon, bleu cheese, croutons, green goddess. For our entree, we shared the 8 Oz. Filet served with truffled-gouda mashed potatoes, asparagus, and béarnaise sauce. It was cooked to perfection and had a nice char and seasoning and was delicious. We were too full for dessert but the guests sitting across from us really seemed to enjoy their creme brulee and cheesecake. We loved the atmosphere and the food was outstanding. What lacked was the service. Our server was just not friendly at all. We noticed that other servers seems to be more chatty and welcoming with the guests, but ours was a dud and really didn't seem to care if we were there or not and made no effort to be friendly, explain the menu, tell us about the restaurant history, etc. That marred what really would have been the perfect anniversary meal for us on our first trip to Point Clear. We will be back and hopefully with a different server.

    Have not dined at The Wash House in 20 years. My grandparents lived in Magnolia Springs and going to The Wash House was reserved for the most special of occasions…probably lunch. Service (Becca), ambiance and food could not have been better. Will definitely add this place to my usuals when in Fairhope!

    We have been going to Wash House for years. We have never been disappointed with any aspect of the meal They recently changed their key line dessert from a “scrambled pie “ to a bread pudding. I was skeptical, but it was delicious!
