Even though I received several confirmations from OpenTable, the restaurant was actually closed permanently. It was a very unpleasant experience for my birthday. They apparently closed two weeks before I even made the reservation on OpenTable, and I'm not sure why they continue to be featured on your site. Please remove them to save someone else this embarrassment.
Open Table took my reservation for Father's Day but when we showed up for brunch the restaurant wasn't even open; apparently had been closed all weekend. My daughter had had the same experience with Vine a few weekends before. Maybe it's going out of business or simply is so badly run that they don't realize being open on weekends tends to be good for biz.
Can't review, because when we arrived for our Father's Day Brunch, the Vine was closed! Only notice was a sign on the door saying "Closed". Now they were good enough to call a couple days prior to 'Confirm' our reservation. Upon making reservation thru Open Table, they even required a credit card in order to charge me $30 per person if we were to cancel or no-show for the reservation! Okay, you were a no-show, so where's my $30 per person credit??
Great job spoiling a fun Father's Day event for my whole family!
And where was Open Table thru all this? You couldn't have notified clients with reservations that the Vine had closed?
We ate a brunch for a group if eight. The restaurant was less than half full, but nevertheless very noisy, mainly because of the overly loud background music. It's a pleasant enough place, and the food was excellent. However, it took nearly an hour and a half for any food to appear. This is inexcusable since the restaurant was not busy. Service was a little slap dash as well. I understand The Vine is relatively new, so maybe that problem will be addressed. I would hope so; the kitchen staff is good, now they need some close attention to timing.
Fantastic establishment! We had a party of 15 and they took excellent care of us. Would definitely go back the next time I'm in Nashville.
It was a pleasant experience , Took my Mother for Mothers Day. The brunch was awesome
I haven't seen much press on The Vine but we were pleasantly surprised at how great it was. Started out with $3 mimosas (a steal!) and had a great brunch. The biscuits and sage gravy were awesome! They make their own sausage which was extremely salty. Bacon rocked. Our waiter, John was phenomenal. He had a fantastic personality and was very attentive. We had a group of 6 and the dining room was nice and spacious. I would avoid outdoor seating as the location is on the corner right at an interstate entrance. Too bad as the patio is big but no ambience outdoors.
I was in Nashville for a long weekend vacation and planned an outing to celebrate Mother's day with my mom who drove up from Atlanta. Not being familiar with the local brunch scene, I went to open table to find a spot. The Vine turned out to be a great choice! The food was AMAZING! I had the pork tenderloin biscuits and they were delicious! Service was good, but a bit slow which is to be expected on a busy occasion like Mother's day. The best part is that my brother decided at the last minute to drive up from Atlanta to surprise my mom and I had to call to switch our reservation from 5 people to 6 and The Vine was happy to accommodate my request. It was a lovely dining experience and again the food was soooo good! I would dine here again if back in town and would recommend to family & friends.
The Vine was chosen for a special occasion because on a previous trip the combination of good food and a great vibe justified a return trip. So, once again, the food was good even with a somewhat limited menu, but there were no people there on a weekend night. Except for the awkward utterances of our server, the place seemed more like a library.
Too bad; hope they are going to make it.
We love the Vine!! The food is amazing and the ambience is great...always had excellent service. The mangers always bend over backwards to accommodate us. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!!
We were so pleased with the Vine. The food was awesome. Probably the best we've had since moving down here 2 years ago. We had great service and the selection of food was smart and delightful. Not really a negative, but it was a little hard to find the parking but was truly well worth it. Also, our seats were in the back, so we didn't see the view every one talks about.
Had a lovely table outside overlooking the city skyline. Wine flights were such a nice way to taste a variety of selections. Server was very helpful in choosing entrees and after dinner drinks. Instead of dessert we went with dessert like drinks- a must! They were fantastic!
Too loud outside. Our waiter was amazing and was spot on. My steak came in overcooked but they brought it back right. Overall, very good night. Thanks The Vine.
This was our 2nd visit to The Vine and we will undoubtedly be back. We had 7:00 PM reservations on a Saturday night and were seated as soon as we got there. Once again, the food was excellent and the wait staff attentive without being intrusive. The crab cakes were just out of this world! They would be hard to beat anywhere. I will definitely recommend The Vine to others. Keep up the good work!
We were running a bit late due to traffic and the staff was very accommodating. In fact, they were so efficient (without rushing us) that we were able to visit the bar after dinner before proceeding to our performance.
Dameon was very attentive to our needs and well versed in the menu as well as wine pairing. The food was delicious - highly recommend the crab Mac and cheese! We were seated near the bar so at times it was difficult to hear others in my group - other than that this was a great experience!
Went with colleagues on a slow stormy night. Service was very friendly, attentive and professional. The appetizers where okay. The shrimp was the favorite of the group. The stakes where outstanding. The cook was perfect and oh so tasty. The group was gaga over the inside out apple pie.
The chicken dish and crab cake dish was really good. Really nice flavor.
Had a great get together with friends at a wonderful restaurants!
They understood our gathering and helped make it memorable.
Wait staff excellent.
Wine list great - prices not marked up as usual.
Food was prepared as described. Portions large even for the petite/small plates.
Apple pie dessert was special!
Don't take clients here to discuss business, the noise level is horrible. This restaurant needs to do something about the acoustics.
Went with friends before a concert. Wonderful cocktails, great atmosphere, service & food!! From beginning to end, our experience was wonderful!! The salmon dish is a must try!! I'm picky about salmon, but it was the best I've had! My husband had the Shrimp pasta dish & loved it!! Our friends had the crab cake, the petit filet, & the shrimp appetizer. They were all wonderful!! This was our 2nd time there, and it was as good as the first!! Will definitely be going back!! It's a must try!!!
Great Experience!! Our Server took great care of us & The Food & Drinks were Perfect!
Great first time experience. Food was delicious and the wine perfect. Michelle is a gem!! Definitely going back!
We were so disappointed! Visiting Nashville for the food/drink/music experience with group of friends. We read great reviews, but the moment we got to Vine we knew it was s mistake. Ambiance was stale, felt like s bad chain restaurant. The servers were untrained and did not know the menu at all. The food was uninspired and very average. No one in my group was happy with it. They were not too negative because I had chosen the place and they were being polite. But this morning we all agreed it was a bad experience, We saw the owner spending his time chatting up a wine vendor and essentially acting proud about owning the place instead of making sure the place was well run. All we wanted was good food, but alas this place was not good. There are lots of great places in Nashville..this is not one of them!
Service was excellent. Manager, bartender and waitstaff went out of their way to take good care of us. We were celebrating my daughter's 30th birthday with Sunday brunch. Highly recommend the build your own Mimosas.
Excellent menu and wine list. Will return.
Starting with a stout and spicy Bloody Mary, I worked my way into the biscuits with sage gravy, a real steal on the menu and a deliciously rich treat. After my initial appetite was satiated, I gorged on a hamburger--cooked to absolute perfection--and a side of hash potatoes. When it was all said and done, I napped. Well and long. My belly was happy.
Fifty minute wait after reservation time was excessive. All of the people around us felt the same way. Traffic was bad.
Char was "fishy" and not firm like Salmon as described. Good wine list, fairly priced, and all wines available except one.
We had a reservation for 7pm. We were seated at 7:50pm. And when the hostess was asked, I never got much of an answer, tables aren't emptying out.
We had a 7:15 reservation on a Saturday night but did not get seated until 8 pm. Once we finally got a table the service was very good as was the food.
I have never had a bad experience here. The food is consistently good and the servers are always efficient and polite.
I moved to Nashville 3 yrs ago and this was my first visit to Vine. I made a reservation for a Thursday night 5:15pm. Be aware they charge $30 If you cancel within 48 hours. The fact I made it 24 hours in advance that sorta locked me in as I wasn't aware til I made it.
Food was excellent but they have a confusing policy you order off the dinner menu if you sit on the restaurant side. Meanwhile there were others who ordered off the bar bites menu and a family with a 2 yr old crying - all of this in the restaurant side. I asked about the bar bites menu and was told of the policy while I watched other menu items being brought to a table close to mine. It wasn't worth going back and forth. Wasn't the worst experience I've had but there are way better options in the city.
Our second trip in two weeks. Very good! Service is wonderful. Food is great! Highly recommend it!
Loved it all! Cocktails, food &,service. Lamb chops were wonderful! Highly recommend, date night or special occasion. Will definitely go back
We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday. They sat us at our favorite table and even provided a birthday dessert. The service is excellent. Everyone is friendly and make you feel welcome. I love the atmosphere. Great wine list. I highly recommend it.
Amazing service! The scallops were like butter and the wine selection was phenomenal! Definitely will be visiting again on our next trip!
Ate here for Valentine's day. Had a special menu and wine pre-selected. Food and service were solid.
jessica was best wait person ever...made our evening
The service was impeccable. Our food was prepared on our time, nothing was rushed, and we enjoyed every bite. We will return again.
I was never told of the required menu for Valentine's Day and only had a budget of $100 for dinner. I asked the hostess before the meal how much the dinner was and she said $150., and that was told to me in a voicemail. I still have the voicemail and there was NO MESSAGE about a required dinner of $150. I was so embarrassed! I had to walk out of the dinner (before any food or wine was received) because I didn't have enough money! Tell your future customers about required specials when you have them. Bad form.
