The Village Table
Love those tapas!
Guitar player was wonderful. Excellent variety.
Delicious tapas food! Very authentic Spanish. Quiet atmosphere except for the table next to us that was talking loudly throughout our meal with the owner’s wife on and off. We still had a lovely dinner. Would highly recommend!
We have eaten at The Village Table many time with mixed reviews. The last time was about a year ago and we did not have a good experience. The meal we had this week was very good. We had tapas(artichokes, shrimp, calamari steak, meatballs and salmon). All were great except the salmon which we thought would be wrapped in the puff pastry versus just being on top the salmon. It was still good although our least favorite. We had a nice bottle of Rioja. The service was also good this time. Based on this last experience, we will go back again.
Food is good and the service is excellent. The wine was very overpriced.
We felt rushed by Trina the waitress and initially we were the only ones in there. Ails sauvingon blanc from Chile and the Red ale beer were great. Goat cheese salad was excellent as was the gmail tapas. The shrimp, meatballs, fish croquet, tomato bread, and chorizo were all average at best. The berry and peach cobbler had very little peaches in it and was mostly sugar and very small for the price.
We had a table of seven and ordered the Around the World tapas, all 18 tapas items on the menu. The menu suggested this would be appropriate for 4-6 people. We ordered one other tapas, short ribs were excellent, and all 7 of us were more than satisfied. Patatas Bravas and Quail were other highlights.
The rib and meatball tapas were exceptional. The Vegetable Torre was disappointing. Our waiter was attentive and very helpful.
Food is always terrific; menu is varied with lots of good choices; and is an excellent value.
Seafood Paella was over cooked and lacked flavor, food was very mediocre and over priced!!
Outstanding. Best Restaurant in Mountain Village by far.
Consistently outstanding food and service.
Could be a cute European restaurant with white table clothes and classical guitar but instead-plastic placemats and Led Zeppelin on the sound system. Meals lacking in skill and quality. Value for the money good but not a place I will return to.
I always enjoy myself and have a great meal. Lovely mountain village restaurant
We had a great experience!
This could potentially be a great tapas restaurant that stands out in the Mountain Village. While the table server was fantastic, the kitchen service fell short. The plates came out 1 hour after placing the order. Who appeared to be the head chef sat at a table chatting with her family, while patrons wait an hour. If a kitchen help did not show up, I would expect the head chef to step up to the plate. A disappointment.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will return. Waiter was excellent
The price fixe menu for NYE was overpriced and the quality of the food was substandard
For the cost of a $700 dinner when my son asked if he could get Mint Jelly if he ordered the lamb and was told if it’s not on the pre fixed menu No, it was a slippery slope down hill. The lamb was not that good. The Chopino was below average for the price of the meal. I don’t mind spending good money but it was a poor value for the cost of the meal. The tip was pre determined and I thought that was inappropriate to not give the customer the option to decide what was reasonable for the service received. The waiter seemed overwhelmed and rushed yet we were one of two tables in the restaurant since we had an early dinner. Overall I will choose a different venue for our next occasion. I would like to have more positive things to say but I was that disappointed with our experience.
Most enjoyable dining experience in telluride we have had.
Our table for 3 was ready when we arrived. The service staff was friendly and appropriately attentive.
To start, we ordered the House Marinated Olives ($5) and the Pan Tomate Bread ($5) which were both wonderful. My husband ordered the Organic Roasted Chicken (Half Portion $29) and I had the Rigatoni Pasta with Shrimp ($29). Both were outstanding!
There was an acoustic guitar player sitting at the bar, whose artistry was appreciated.
The restaurant had a warm and cozy vibe and we felt like we could relax and enjoy our meal, without being rushed.
We will definitely be back, in order to try some of their numerous tapas offerings!
Favorite place in Mountain Village. Small, intimate, great small plates. Owner-chef
The service and food, especially the trout, were excellent. We appreciated being informed that the soup of the day was vegan.
We were there on 2 for one entree Tuesday so the price was good. Nice place for Tapas.
We were underwhelmed by the food. We ordered grilled artichokes which were warm but clearly not grilled. We also ordered the vegetarian and seafood paella. Both were unseasoned and bland. The vegetarian came with harissa sauce, but only 1/2 teaspoon could be used on the entire dish without burning your mouth (even the waitress warned). Also, oddly the vegetarian portion was noticeably smaller than the seafood. We left feeling disappointed.
Excellent food!! And great service with views of the beautiful Telluride mountains
The seafood paella is always wonderful as are the cocktails
Overall good experience, but the burger was very salty, Service and staff very good.
Good value. Interesting menu options.
I was disappointed in this restaurant :( I love tapas and the food was just ok and mediocre at best. I have been to some pretty amazing tapas restaurants and this did not compare which is sad as I love Telluride. I really didn't need to make a reservation as the place was not busy. The table next to us had plates with lots of left over food which should have been a sign to go some where else. The wait staff was nice but the food was not that good and at those prices I would have been better off going somewhere else.
This is a delightful restaurant - fresh, delicious food and warm, inviting service. The Village Table always provides an excellent an e celebrate experience - try it and you will see!
Maybe because it is "the off season" it was so disappointing. I felt like some of the staff was more interested in talking with each other than serving it's customers and the food just was not very good. I hope it was an off night and this was an exception.
The tapas are fantastic, not only in presentation, but in taste. The grilled calamari was unbelievable! I highly recommend this establishment.
Once a waiter was assigned to our table the service was perfect ! Loved having the live guitar music while dining!
Really excellent experience. I would highly recommend.
It took an extremely long time to see a waiter, and when we did, he was dressed unprofessionally in street clothes with no identification or apron. We didn't receive the waters we ordered until after the meal came (I had to ask a second time for our drinks), which was another very long wait. I didn't have the silverware I needed, and our waiter seemed grouchy that I asked him for a fork. Food was not noteworthy. Took a very long time for the check and then for him to process our card. Will not be back.
Been coming here for years. Family oriented and run by a family. Chef is VERY creative. Highly recommended.
Village Table is a great find in Telluride Mountain Village. We have dined there several times and never have been disappointed. Service is excellent, food is great - it's hard to make a bad pick on this menu. John (owner/chef) really knows what he is doing.
Village Table never disappoints. The food is always fresh and delivered promptly, the servers are always so friendly and we are greeted as if we are family. They go out of their way to satisfy any special requests. The trout and vegetarian paella are two of our favorite dishes but we have enjoyed every dish that we have tried on their menu.
Very nice, just not outstanding. The guitar player was excellent. Perfect background music, but we could still carry on a conversation.
