The Venue Sushi Bar & Sake Lounge Ratings and Reviews
They’ve done a great job on their website but we didn’t feel the restaurant lived up to it. Some of the items we ordered were good but nothing we tried was great. Our favorite sashimi is hamachi. They were out of it. Since we drove 25 minuets to get there we most likely will not go back.
We went for new years eve with another couple and sat outside on a somewhat chilly evening, they warned us that we would be dining outside so we were prepared with the right attire and they provided heaters and blankets along with candle light so it was very comfortable, cozy and romantic. The service was absolutely outstanding while we dined on unique cuisine and sushi. We all agreed that the sushi tostada was our favorite! The cost makes this place one we probably wouldn't go to on a regular basis ( $500 plus for the 4 of us and only one bottle of wine) but for special occasions its nice.
The fish was great! The service was lacking. We had a 7:30pm reservation and did not get sat until nearly 7:45 despite the restaurant not being full. The patio door was left open a large part of our meal (it was 62 degrees outside) - Despite being asked to close the door several time. Patrons just began closing the door. Needless to say, it made the inside temp not very comfortable. The waitress took a long time to bring our food after the first order - again, the restaurant was not full.
I’m a regular customer and always order the same things, the house roll and salmon carpaccio., which are delicious.
A friend of mine was there last week and told me to order the coconut roll and yellow tail carpaccio and avacado appetizer.
OMG, the coconut roll was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The avacado was sautéed lightly with a tempura crust and the inside was tuna and seasoning. Just fabulous. And the yellow tail was excellent. Fabulous dinner, and will definitely order it all again.
Our waiter was Sergio, and he is the best waiter. Very attentive. Great guy. All the people who work there are very friendly and interact with the customers well.
We love The Venue!! It was our second time eating there and we were just as impressed. Our first was a date and this time it was a large party. The service was just as joyful, patient and attentive. The young Turkish man was a delight! The presentation impressed the guests and the each bite was savored by all! The brussels sprouts even converted a non vegetable eater. He was literally awestruck by how delicious a vegetable could be. Sounds odd but as an English South African he said all he eats is meat.
Food is amazing. The seats against the wall are overdue for a replacement you sit very low against a high table. You need to sit in a cushion to be able to eat at the table. The end of the dinner requires you go into the back of the restaurant where the dishes are washed to process your visa which really isn’t acceptable. This is our third time to this restaurant over the past 18 months and it is still the same process. Otherwise love the tasting menu.
The ambiance is lovely, it's quiet, the food is beautiful and so delicious. The fish tastes fresh and the sauces are unique and modern. The service is exceptional and the staff were very patient with my persnickety questions. We went for our anniversary and they surprised us with a scrumptious raspberry sorbet. ❤️'S all around!
