   What a unique LI restaurant. The tasting menu was very interesting and delicious. And the food kept coming - we ran out of wine before our dinner was over.

   Some of the most beautifully prepared, imaginative and tasty dishes of any of the Italian restaurants on Long Island. Not overpriced, and YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN WINE anytime. Because the place is tiny (We estimate about 30 seats) it has a cozy feeling. Very casual--no tablecloths, simple tables, open kitchen, wooden walls, etc; It has the feel of a simple country kitchen. But the food is outstanding. Fixed price 3 course dinner is $40. FP 4 course is $50. Well worth it. Lots of choices with enough variety to suit everyone's desires. The service is personal and excellent. Must reserve well in advance because of the limited seating.

   As always, The Trattoria did not disappoint. We have been there several times and everything is consistently great. The scallops, brasato, and maple marscapone cheesecake were unbelievable. The polenta is amazing - I have tried and failed to recreate it to no avail! We will of course be back as soon as possible!

    My wife and I have been going to Trattoria since it opened; we have never been disappointed. We just wish that reservations were easier to come by but the wait is well worth the reward.
