The Teahouse Restaurant
One of Stanley Park’s historic seaside landmarks, this popular meeting spot is minutes from downtown Vancouver and boasts an outdoor fireplace on the restaurant’s patio, which looks out to sunset views of Georgia Strait from the western tip of Stanley Park.
The natural west coast atmosphere is perfectly enhanced by Executive Chef Alan Tse's cuisine using fresh local ingredients.
For private events, the Teahouse has three distinct rooms; perfect for seminars, meetings or special occasions of any kind. Each room offers ocean views that are unmatched in Vancouver.
The Teahouse is a contemporary dining experience with a difference, accompanied by the longest sunsets in the city.

The Teahouse is one of our favorite restaurants in Vancouver. The location, ambience, and our table location right beside the window did not disappoint. However, this time the service seemed to be lacking. Reservation from Opentable was in the system, but there seemed to be a problem with the hostess securing a table for us. Perfect table once we got one, but after being seated for 5 minutes the hostess came back and asked if I had a reservation. I showed her the reservation confirmation on my phone and she said okay, but came back a second time to ask my name. Then it took at least 10 to 12 minutes after being seated for our water glasses to be filled. The waiter then only brought half of our drink orders. Our food order was correct and food arrived in a timely manner, but no one checked back to see if everything was okay. No asking to refill drink order.
An absolute favourite, an oasis and always a warm welcome with grace and efficiency. Our wait person this time was Jenna and she was fabulous, bringing her personality and attentiveness to add to the meal
Unusually poor service. Watched the server attend to everyone else so not sure if he was just hesitant to approach our table for fear of interrupting. Was poor from the start w our drink orders through to dessert. Nice guy though.
The view was fantastic. Overall the service was good, except they never came around to refill our water and when asked, I had to ask 4 times to 4 different people to have our water refill. I also mentioned the lunch was birthdays for 3 ladies ranging from 83 to 95. I felt they could do something special like decorating our dessert or have 3 candles on the dessert or even comp the item. Nothing was done. Very disappointed especially when we have been coming for the last 5 years.
My sister and I had a late lunch on Father's Day in remembrance of our father. It was also the last day of our trip in Vancouver. What a lovely place to be for our dad and our last meal in such a beautiful city! The food was delicious and the setting spectacular. Who could ask for anything more?
We had brunch and the food was good. A very nice setting with views of the water.
Friends recommended we have dinner here while in town to celebrate our anniversary. The Teahouse is adorable. We sat outside for dinner on the patio - we had the stuffed mushrooms, halibut, burrata and BC salmon. All of the food was delicious! Our only complaint was our service, we had to ask a few times for water, the tables around us were given bread (we asked, but it never came), our drinks took a while and empty glasses weren't ever cleared and our food came and sat but we had to ask the food runner for utensils. Maybe our server had an off night? We just had such high expectations - the poor service was definitely a little bit of a let down.
The food was pretty average compared to other restaurants we had eaten in during our stay in Canada and was expensive. Apparently this is the best restaurant in Vancouver to see a sunset and so we chose to eat on the patio. What is not mentioned in the restaurant description was that there is a wall that obstructs your view so the only way to see it is to come out of the restaurant. Very disappointing. We dined at their sister restaurant in Coalharbor the night before and the food was much better, more choice and less expensive.
Beautiful views! Lovely drive through Stanley Park to get there.
Food was very good and nicely presented. Service was fantastic, all the staff were very attentive
Overall great experience
Our relatives were visiting Canada for the first time. We wanted to show them our neighbourhood. The Teahouse is our chouce in the WestEnd for a special occasion that we take friends from out of town to. We had a lovely table by the window, a very friendly gentleman serving us. We had 5 delicious meals in a gorgeous atmosphere. Our relatives were delighted and even the next day were commenting about how much they had enjoyed themselves the night before at The Teahouse.
One small blip....About an hour after we had arrived for our reservation a large group of single men (sports team?) came in and were seated near us. Their voices were quite loud and I am sure they didnt realize this. Under the skylight voices carry.
Anyway we still enjoyed ourselves very much and appreciate that the restaurant and service is first class but as Vancouverites we are more relaxed and didnt have to feel stuffy and restricted in this beautiful environnent.
Everything was perfect beyond our expectations. we heard good things about the Teahouse but did not expect the great food menu choices, friendly service, hospitality and scenic views.
Great food, great service, and good views.
Average but nice!!
We absolutely knew we made the right choice when we chose the TeaHouse to celebrate a landmark sale - We had the stuffed mushroom caps which we highly recommend the special of the day was sable fish which was melt in your mouth delicious and crème brulee for desert - the menu was fantastic as Reece was glucose intolerant and the items were well marked as well the made special glucose free bread which was delicious - our server was efficient and kind and informative and it was over all a wonderful dining experience and the view is priceless-it was peaceful and we had a wonderful conversation - thank you for the wonderful dining experience Reece and Pat
Wonderful meal and service. Table location was fantastic with beautiful views. Our server was attentive and excellent. The menu is limited but our selections were delicious and beautifully presented.
Great view from the patio! Fish and chips were delicious
Beautiful day, delicious brunch & and good service from Jan, our waiter
Amazing staff, great food and beautiful view. We got married at the Tea House and the team went above and beyond to make it a special day for us. Thank you Teahouse we recommend them for anyone for any occasion :)

This was a return visit for my husband and myself. Our first visit was thirty yeas ago . The ambiance, food and service was as wonderful as ever.
Visited the restaurant after a boating trip around Vancouver. Was recommended to dine here by the boat rental company. Absolutely excellent food and atmosphere!
Three of our group ordered the sable fish and were disappointed. I had the ravioli and it was delicious. I do not think the group wants to return.
We wanted to go for a nice Saturday brunch to close off a busy week and The Teahouse seemed to be a better-than-good choice. My wife had the "Lobster Tail Benedict" which she described as nice individual components that didn't really see to work together in a cohesive way. I had the "6oz Flat Iron Steak & Eggs". The main components of my meal were quite decent as well but it was supposed to include hash browns (were they hiding amongst the seasonal vegetables?) and country dill toast. There was definitely toast on my plate - dry as the Sahara and completely butter free but toast nonetheless - but the country dill description seems dubious.
The real problem with our Teahouse experience was the service (or lack thereof). All was fine up until the meals were served (by someone from the kitchen) and then it went poof. I certainly don't want a cloying server but normally when your food is brought to the table by a 3rd party, your server will come and check on you in short order. Not this time. Even though there were several server sightings, it was at least 15 minutes before she attended to us again. By that time the meals were mostly eaten and I wanted nothing more to do with the driest toast I can remember in quite some time. Even the toast at the Coquitlam Grill (where quality and/or fresh ingredients seem to be shunned) had more life.
In short, the scenic views were wonderful and the food was mostly fine. Perhaps they can improve the service for others. Oh, and we finished with the Earl Grey Brownie which my wife found to be quite enjoyable as she's not much of a chocolate fan (something I don't have to fight her for).
Our host/server was Brenden and his service was impeccable.
Went there for brunch hoping to order the Belgian waffles. Due to dietary restrictions, I can’t have berries. The waiter insisted I order something else. Although it was early and the place was nearly empty, I was not offered a substitution of different fruit, or the possibility of no fruit and an additional waffle. Surprisingly unaccomodating, since this was the only out of the ordinary thing requested by our table of four.
Beautiful setting. Lovely.
Every time I'm in Vancouver I like to visit the Teahouse. We ate outside this time and had a wonderful lunch and the server was outstanding. You can't beat the view or the food. I highly recommend this spot for lunch, dinner and any special event. We had my son's wedding there 3 years ago and have fond memories of the Teahouse. We see you when I'm in VanCity again. Cheers and Kanpai
Sat outside and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Food was excellent and server was attentive.
Excellent table very tasty food view is exceptional
Service could have been a quite a bit sharper and a bit less familiar for the price point but very friendly and good
No wine steward and a big gap hazard at times
The Teahouse never disappoints. We take all our visitors there, often celebrate family occasions there and always look forward to our next visit. The setting is unique; the food and service are very good; The Teahouse is a real Vancouver treasure.
Took my spouse there for his birthday, incredible food; i ordered the mushroom pesto ravioli with a side of prawns and he ordered the duck. Great view of the water. Only critique is the moscow mule my spouse ordered was not up to standard, could not taste the ginger at all. My grapefruit mimosa was very good though. Overall had an amazing dining experience and felt very intimate. Would recommend.
These guys are amazing. The service was above and beyond. We were nervous we were underdressed but we were made to feel like royalty. Just a wonderful experience with wonderful food and service.
The experience at the Tea House was fabulous. Our server, Jan was wonderful. Would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone interested in great food, spectacular views and phenomenal service.
Always a wonderful night sitting on the patio watching the sunset. Food is fantastic - always order the stuffed mushrooms as a starter! Have been coming here for 30 years. Love it.
Waiter, Robert great service made a great dinner even more greater!
We waited quite awhile to be served even though it wasn't busy. The food was great
It was lovely
Food came out cold.
View spectacular and Jan was the best server ever .
Fabulous view, outstanding service, easy to make reservations. Would totally recommend to anyone.
