Great food, service and ambiance keep us coming back to this fine dining establishment!
Amazing quality food and amazing staff. Highly recommend.
Went to celebrate our 25th anniversary ❤️
Such a lovely experience, staff were welcoming and attentive .
Food was absolutely delicious!
Our overall experience was phenomenal!!!
The food, service and ambiance was excellent and we wont hesitate to return. Our problems were in dealing with the mess the city hss made of access to Stanley Park.
We were forced onto the bridge multiple times and then when we finally got to the patk entrance we
were told by park rangers we were lucky to get in for our reservation.
This wasn't the restaurant's fault. It and thier patrons are victims. Considering the impact of Covid on business and the economy in general, what is the city thinking?!
Amazing location, service snd food. Cannot wait to go back.
The one thing the staff should do is ask guests if they have paid for parking. It was dark and rainy and one of our party did not appreciate that parking required payment and got a ticket. Also - needs an overhang on the entrance for rainy nights
Amazing food, from the bread to the actual entree and everything in between! Our waitress and the service was excellent to top it all off. We have never felt so comfortable and welcome at a restaurant.
This lovely elegant restaurant serves delicious food! The staff are friendly, polite, and attentive. Since we went our anniversary dinner, we were treated to a glass of Prosecco! That was nice!
Food came out cold, had to send back. Even then, meals lacked flavour, steak came with fries... I don't think so, not at that price point, i can get that at a pub.
The Teahouse has been one of our favourites for years. The food as always was exceptional. I think our waiter is new and not very experienced so the service was not as good we expected. There was a problem with the lighting on the patio but the staff did their best to help the situation.
We celebrate our anniversary ever year at the Teahouse, the staff from the host, manager and our waiter John make our dinner experience special. The food was amazing. See you next anniversary Teahouse.
Amazing location looking out at the ocean and sunset. Great service and fantastic food. Will definitely come back
Parking was an issue. It was not clear that it had to be paid outside. So we got a hefty ticket from Park Police. So be sure to ask inside about it.
We arrived at 5:30 on a Thursday evening and had the whole dining area to ourselves. The old standards put the lie to one reviewers complaint about the music. The server was charming, witty, patient and attentive. My halibut was good and my daughter found the mussels excellent, and she is something of an expert on seafood. Always a favourite of mine.
My husband and I were looking to celebrate our anniversary and I’ve always wanted to go to the Tea House. The difference between this restaurant and other “high end” restaurants we’ve been to could not have been clearer. The quality of the food was beyond!!! The other part of the experience that was amazing was the service. Our server Lori was phenomenal! The managers (both of them) came to our table to ensure we were having a great experience. I cannot recommend a dine out experience more than this one! We will be making this a regular event when we come to Vancouver. Thanks again for the amazing experience!
Lovely place to celebrate your anniversary.
Difficult to get to from the North Shore but well worth the effort.
Mediocre food.. stuffed mushrooms were good and but steak was kind of raw and smelled.. couldnt eat even half of their ‘signature’ steak. Biggest disappointment is service which started off well but ended as a disaster. It was my wife’s birthday, they all knew it and wished her but halfway through dinner when it became dark, the server did not bother to set a candle light when he saw that of all tables, ours was the only one without the candle light! So much for their fake wishes and high claims of service standards. Of all the high end restaurants we have tried, Teahouse has been the worst and i hope they realise that sycophancy wont make them survive in this business for long!
Excellent place for our 45th wedding anniversary. 35 years earlier we had been delightfully cared for at the Tea House for our 10th anniversary. They did not miss their mark on first class hospitality this time either.
We started going to the Teahouse 32 years ago because we could take our babies there. The food was great, the setting wonderful and the servers were courteous while still being characters. Nothing has changed and we are still going there, with our grown daughters.
Beautiful setting, great service, overpriced terrible salty greasy steak for $60
Wonderful ambience and delicious food and wine. Impeccable service. A perfect location to dine out for a special occasion.
Greatly located in the Stanley park with amazing view of sunset. Food and service was excellent. A bit pricey but understandable for a classy restaurant
The location is beautiful and has scenic views of the water and the city. The food tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. Recommend trying the lobster bisque, stuffed mushrooms, or peppercorn crusted beef carpaccio as an appetizer. We loved the flavour of all 3. For dinner we had the rack of lamb and pan seared prawn and scallops. Both tasted fresh and were cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a great ambiance to it and looks so cute. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and wine & cocktail pairings. It was such a pleasure to have John as our server tonight.
It was a very nice dinner. But unfortunately after the sunset the restaurant got invaded with moths which was a bit unpleasant while having a meal. Also we had a really hard time getting an
Uber/lyft home after dinner because pf the park’s closure at 22h. But food was awesome and our waiter was adorable.
OMG, this was a gem in Stanley Park, well worth the visit the sunset was amazing, the ambiance of the Tea House truly left me in awe, all the staff top notch on customer service. The food had so much flavor, we had such an amazing time and will definitely come back. Thank you to all the staff for everything.
Excellent experience. Thanks for making my son’s 15th bday so special. The tradition will continue :)
We had a wonderful time celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary at The Teahouse. We wanted the location of our celebration to be memorable as we are moving to The Maritimes before our 17th. What better location than The Teahouse in landmark Stanley Park with an ocean view as we enjoyed our meal. Not only is it located in Stanley Park, but it is a restaurant with a history that is part of Vancouver’s history. It’s a meeting place for Vancouverites that is now even more memorable to us as part of our history. The ambiance was warm and welcoming.
We were warmly greeted and the hostess brought us a glass of champagne after we were seated. Our waiter was very polite, professional and attentive all while making us feel welcome with genuine warmth and friendliness. The other members of the restaurant were all of the same manner. So nice to be treated this way.
Our food was nicely presented, favourable and memorable. Try the halibut! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone for any reason. It does not need to be a special occasion to be treated well and enjoy a fantastic meal.
Very nice set-up. Friendly service. Great spot all around. Ask for John!
Been going to the Teahouse since the late 80s and was always a favorite. This visit was a change in their menu and style which I don't understand. The menu depleted, not offering a wider range and prices. Duck I had was very good, my wife's had Halibut also good but her potato side tasted as if cooked in lamb? fat , not good. Service while ok lacked personality. We were disappointed in lack of appetizer choices. Teahouse has a wonderful location and venue but now needs to revisit where it's going.
Halibut was very good l! New York steak was less good. Service was a bit slow but ok. Enjoyed the lemon tart for desserts.
The food was incredibly mediocre and not good value. The service was not great either.
The Teahouse in Stanley Park is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver ( and there are many restaurants in this gorgeous city). The atmosphere overlooking English Bay with Vancouver Island far in the distance, the extremely kind staff and the top notch items on the menu make it so. This time we went with 2 young girls (3 and 5) in tow and I was very impressed with how calmly and kindly the waiter knew just what to bring for them and how to make it a good experience for them too.
My only observation on the whole that maybe is a bit critical is that the portions were truly tiny. We were home by 8 and at 9 o'clock I had to eat something because I was hungry again. I realize that this is the way we are now supposed to eat , but when a person pays $ 50.= for an entree , you do not expect to be hungry again a few hours later.
All in all it was a fantastic evening, one to remember for a long time. Thank you !
Friendly, attentive, and nice to get 2 glasses of cava on the house!
My wife and I went there for our 44th Anniversary. I had eaten there a couple of times in the past, but not since the pandemic, so it was good to get out and have a great meal at a very nice place. We arrived just before our reservation time (6:00pm) and were seated immediately. The server was very good and attentative without being intrusive. Great food! We had the Lobster bisque to start, then the seared prawns and scallops, and then the chocolate Milano cake for desert as the perfect finish. All that with of course a large glass of wine - I like white, my wife likes red. All in all, we were there for about an hour and a half. The final bill was exactly as I had expected - no surprises! Thank you to all the staff at the Tea House for making that part of our day special!
We had a delightful experience for our anniversary
My fiancé, my friends and I made reservations after being recommended we eat at the Teahouse, and we were not disappointed! We were thrilled! We had just gotten engaged, and the staff were so sweet to provide us with a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate. I ordered a Moscow Mule, which was refreshing and delicious. The crab and shrimp crusted halibut is incredible. And the chocolate raspberry cake is to die for! The service was excellent and the ambience was everything I hoped for and more. Can't recommend this place enough! :)
Lovely evening out, table by the window with a beautiful outlook to the ocean and Islands.
Outstanding service from Meghan!
We had a lovely little table in the tea room. It was elevated above the patio so one could look out at the ocean off of the point
