The Table at Season To Taste
An eclectic twenty seat restaurant featuring seating overlooking the open kitchen and an intimate environment. Chef Carl Dooley utilizes French techniques to showcase both seasonal ingredients and international flavors in his four-course prix fixe menus. In addition, there is a menu of light snacks and à la carte dishes paired with choice wines and craft beers at the wine bar.
Please note, specific tables may be requested but cannot be guaranteed.
Reservations highly recommended. Prompt arrivals requested, as we cannot guarantee seating when diners are delayed by more than 15 minutes. Private parties can also be arranged upon request. We recommend booking these at least three months in advance.
Need to book at 11:15 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Chef Carl does a great job showcasing high quality ingredients!
Outstanding food and hospitality! Jesse was not only a stupendous host but shared some wonderful wine and knowledge with us during the meal. Max and the kitchen team served up course after course of delicate, ambitious and just extraordinary flavors. I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience. Thank you to the entire team and enjoy the night shift tonight!! Cheers!! Your good friend, George
This is the best restaurant in Boston. Chef Carl is a genius and Mary makes some of the most creative and delicious desserts I have ever tasted.
The Table is a wonderful restaurant for special occasion dinners. The prix fixe menu rotates every six weeks and reflects an eclectic set of courses employing ingredients and techniques from around the world. There are two dishes offered for each of the four courses, so go with a loved one and taste every offering. I've gone twice so far and each of the eight dishes I've tried has been creative and excellent. The noise level is low enough to talk comfortably but the tables are separate enough to keep conversations private. You can tell that the staff team is tight knit and enjoys working together. They are supremely knowledgeable and engaged with each other and the patrons, and with little separation between the kitchen and the tables, you can see the food prepared with care. All in all, an ideal restaurant experience. I will go as often as I can.
Delicious, creative, delicate, but spicy. Interesting takes on fine dining in a relaxed, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Really special.
Always great food with a new menu every 6 weeks.
Wonderful all around experience. Highly recommended for foodies.
Fantastic food and service. Always have a great evening here, can't be happier this is in our neighborhood!!
Great for date nights. I wouldn't recommend for parties over 2 since you only get 2 choices on each course but food is GREAT! Very small place so reservation is a must. The team is very knowledgeable, which is always a bonus.
Excellent menu and wine flight- a delightful dining experience
Amazing in every way.
We wanted a fabulous meal to celebrate a special occasion and The Table was totally up to the task!
Really great experience hard to get in, expensive nice for special occasion
Awesome food and service
Pleasant seating arrangements, good wine list
More food than we expected !
Cute little place, no cocktails, small menu, venison was good, service was average.
Amazing food and amazing service! The staff was very knowledgeable and it made every dish that much more intriguing.
As always an amazing meal. Each course surpasses the previous and the wine pairings were sublime. The desserts blew us away....they have always been good but this time was by far the best. Already booking our next reservation.
Attention to detail, unique flavors and textures, may be the best food in boston overall. Very knowledgable wait staff. Nice extras for a hospitable touch- like amuse buche, and take home granola bar.
Unfortunately a mixed bag here. The food was very well prepared but the menu is extremely limited -- just two choices. If you didn't like tripe or skate wing (and we didn't), you were out of luck. However, the real problem was the truly horrible music and the volume at which it was played. I like everything from Metallica to Bill Evans. This was just loud noise with a heavy bass. My guess is that it was there primarily for the chefs in the open kitchen, but it was blaring throughout the tiny dining room. It was the kind of loud noise the CIA would use to extract a confession. It ruined the experience completely. The value proposition is poor at best at $150 a person with beer, no wine. The chair are hard, no table cloths, and the decor was essentially nonexistent. A few plastic flowers. Overall, a huge disappointment. Excellent bread and butter though.
Wonderful composition of textures and flavors! Superb!
Overall excellent although our table was underwhelmed by the marinated mackerel and I thought the skate-sauerkraut combination didn't work particularly well (although each element was very good separately). The wine pairings were tremendous and the service was excellent.
This was a repeat visit and we enjoyed the dinner. The chicken that was served was very tasty but was not elevated to a fine dining experience. Serving chicken as part of a fine dining menu is risky and this time it did not really paid off. My preference is that the restaurant stick to higher quality meats. Also, I love bubbly wine with my meal and the only choice by the glass started at $17/glass. I would like to find also quality sparkling wine choices in the $11-12/glass range too so I can have a couple without breaking the bank. We will keep coming back always hope for a better experience.
We had ordered vegetarian dishes. They were all very flavorful and delicious. We will be coming back soon.
Came here for my birthday with my girlfriend. Parking was a little difficult, since we had to find it on the street. The restaurant is a small, and well furnished place. The wall decorations were appropriate and added to the experience. The open kitchen was fun to watch as well. The food was what we expected. It was fantastic, and the reputation of the restaurant is deserved. However, there was an intangible missing from the food that kept the meal from entering the upper echelon of meals I’ve had. That said, I’ll gladly return when there is a special occasion that calls for a meal to match.
Tee Table at Season to Taste offers a 4 course fixed menu with complementary wine pairings for an additional charge. As a couple we like to order one of everything on the menu and as each course arrives each have half of the 2 dishes. This means we get to taste everything - and believe me, you don't want to miss anything. The food is different every time we go and the wines are always interesting. The waitstaff can tell you the details of each one and why it goes with the particular dish. It's not overbearing wine-speak it's genuinely interesting information. It is not inexpensive - but it is worth every cent. You leave with a complimentary, home-made granola bar in your pocket feeling replete and well cared for.
Wonderful evening at Season to Taste. My partner and I ordered everything on the menu so we could try it all and it was fresh, flavorful, complex, but familiar in ways I haven't seen in Boston. We absolutely loved it. We also got the wine pairing and I'm not too sure how well it balanced with the food. It was more like the wine accentuated certain flavors in each dish. It was surely a unique and bold flavored wine pairing, which opened our eyes to all the many types of flavors you can get out of wine.
The food was incredible and service was awesome
Yummy. Cozy. Delicious.
Creative, delicious food, excellent wines, great service and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended for a special occasion!
Would highly recommend!
Delicious array of courses and variety! Spices were perfectly balanced not to overshadow the essence of the produce and meat themselves. A few favorite dishes were the sweet potato agnolotti and mushroom dashi. The orange zest at the bottom of the dashi bowl added surprising freshness! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Overall comment is “WELL DONE”! It was a wonderful anniversary celebration. We went all out and did the wine pairing menu. It was fantastic! We started with a complimentary celebratory Cava, and ended with a complimentary granola bar to take home for breakfast! This was a tasty surprise as the granola had a hint of chili that was understated and was probably the best granola we’ve ever tasted! Highly recommend!
The price/performance is just not there. $245 for two, without tip? I went home and had a pbj sandwich. Too precious by alot.
Beautiful food, good wine, excellent service. Look forward to going again.
We were here for our anniversary dinner. The food was great. Every course was delicately arranged and full of surprises. It was like your taste buds were exploring the world of cuisine. Staffs were really kind and also knowledgeable about the menu.
Our first visit to The Table was in honor of my wife's birthday. From beginning to end it was a special experience. Our waitress, Felicia, was cheerful and friendly and ready to explain everything. We enjoyed her company through the evening. Our courses were served, however, by several other people in addition to her - a flexibility that avoided undue delay. (At one point, however, we might have been impatient had we not been in such a good mood.) The food was exquisite. Since there were two of us, and two choices for each course, we decided to order everything. Felicia suggested this also, though we'd already decided. It is really hard to determine favorites. Especially shared like this, we had a few bites of each choice and then went on to the next. The measure of a wonderful restaurant is those first few bites: after that, even at the best restaurants, additional morsels are just food. At The Table, we were at the highest register all evening long. While The Table is not cheap, it is not that expensive either, and a great value. I'm looking forward to going back.
Per usual the meal was incredible. Jesse crushed the wine pairings again. Can't wait to go back.
Absolutely fabulous! I took my entire family during our recent visit to Boston and everything was amazing. The food was outstanding and our server was world class - helpful and attentive without ever being overbearing or pretentious. We dined at 7 of Eater Boston's Top 10 during our visit, and everyone agreed that A Table At Season To Taste was deserving of its No. 1 Ranking.
Easily one of the best meals my father and I have ever had in our lives. We can't stop talking about it!
Outstanding as always
