Celebrated my husbands birthday and it was amazing !! The food , the service and the belly dance show. Had a great time !! Thanks
The food was authentic and delicious, could’ve been a bit warmer when delivered but very good still. The servers were all attentive and the dancers and drummers were interacting with us at our table and were very entertaining. Prince, our main server, was great and knowledgeable about the bar items. We will definitely be coming back again!
Had a first time experiance with moroccan cuisine. Unique vibe with flavourful combination of Moroccan atmosphere. Had braised chicken, salmon and lamp sausage tajine.
they have a 65 CAD fixed price menu including a show and the regular menu within a specific aera of the restaurant.
Instead of clarifying this, they just move to you the 65 CAD area... and communicate after the fact. This is not acceptable
The food itself is ok but far too oily
Finally, the show is average, 1 tambourine guy and 2 female dancers. No need to say we are far from any arabic standard show, but only vulgarity prevails with bank notes given to the dancers...
Well, I will definitely not go there anylonger
Only very positive, the waitress was very efficient, polite and nice
The Sultan’s Tent was such a pleasant experience! If you’re looking for authentic French-Moroccan food in the city then this is the place to be. The staff were amazing… from the hostesses at the door who accommodated a table change to our server Mamun who took care of our food and drink needs and made sure that we didn’t need anything else! We are definitely coming back and we are looking forward to the next time here (hopefully to catch the belly dance show), thank you for making our Friday night a great one!
Excellent and great service! Food was simply awesome!
I reserved a table for 2 for my husbands birthday. when I reached I accidently went into the different restaurant which was in basement , after looking at the menu I realized we were in wrong restaurant and they didn't even correct us when I told them initially we have a reservation for 7:30pm. then we went to Sultan's tent and was super excited to see the interior and amazing aroma and fragrance in the restaurant. The décor is beautiful and exotic. The tents are superb. we sat in a private space and could see the whole place . it was colorful and extremely pleasant. we ordered pre-fix menu (excellent choice) coconut shrimps, matoul , Crusted filet M, meatballs with rice, drinks - Morocco mule, old fashioned , desert crème Brule, chocolate cake with orange syrup (the deadliest finest cake I ever had). The staff was extremely friendly and their suggestions were great. at 8.05pm the highlight began when a beautiful extremely talented belly dancer mesmerized the crowd with her moves. I danced with her . She stole the show completely. If you want to have a special celebration undoubtedly Sultan's tent is the best choice. I will recommend everyone in Toronto and GTA to visit this restaurant. I will be visiting them soon for another celebration. note to restaurant -could you open the doors towards inside and put a board of the name so no one misses it and go to a different restaurant. Sultan's tent made our evening worth spending the celebration. Thank you
The spectacular place, as well as the staff who attended us. a place to repeat
Server Ronnie was great, belly dancing was engaging. Belly dancing certification for participating was a nice touch 👌
I booked a standard table when they called me for to check if I wanted to sit in the tent and watch belly dance for extra cost. I mentioned if I am interested, I would reach out to them with confirmation. It was assumed that I would sit in the tent and our table was given to someone else. They arranged a special table for us by adding chairs. It wasn’t comfortable. Although, appreciate all the efforts.
This restaurant had a beautiful Moroccan theme. The interiors are very well done. The food can be better though. Pita bread were crispy like crackers and Baklava was average. The chicken dish I ordered was not so tasty was also served with mashed potato :-/
Extremely disappointed with the food, was expecting an explosion of flavours, which are typical of Moroccan cuisine, instead everything was bland, even basic flavours, like salt and pepper were missing.
Service was excellent, also very impressive decor.
The brightly coloured fabrics and lighting welcome you warmly as you enter. Recieved by friendly hosts you will be led to your tented area separated by curtains from other seating areas. Appetizer of cauliflower was flavourful and plentiful. Rack of lamb cooked perfect with a honey pomegranate glaze, superb mashed potatoes and veggies cooked just right. Dessert was underwhelming, both chocolate cake and baklava. But mint tea was beautiful. The music soars as veiled belly dancers dance down the isle and right up to your table. Feel like participating? Done worry they'll wave you over : ) overall was a magical experience
Beautiful ambience , amazing dancer and service. Food tasted good but very small appetizers portion and was expecting 4 course meal however it was only 3 course - choice of one item from salad/ soup/ appetizers which was a drag. Would have appreciated soup or salad in addition an appetizer
Choose 1 from entree and 1 from desert.
That’s why rated 2 on value !
Sultants tent was awesome. We loved the food, drinks and the server was super nice. The only thing I didn't like was the state of the bathroom. It felt like no one had cleaned the toilet bowl and swat in days. But that's not a deal breaker for me.
I had a great time at the Sultan's Tent with my friends on the weekend. The food was delicious, and the waiters were very attentive and lovely. The décor and ambiance is so unique and cozy. The belly dancing show was fun, the dancers were engaging and very skilled. Great place for a celebration, date night or just a fun night out.
We enjoyed the food and the show. Our waiter and all the support staff were friendly and attentive. We were made to feel comfortable. It was also good to see the manager come out to talk with the guests.
Dinner was very nice. Service was excellent
Nice experience dinner. Good fois and ambiance. Worth the visit.
It’s been a few years since I’ve been to the Sultan’s Tent and now I know/remember why.
I’ll start with the pros:
- service from our waiter was very good; fast and very personable
- the belly dancing show was nice/entertaining
- ambience is good
- the food was very poor and not anything close to authentic Moroccan food; we are not expecting to be transported to Tangier but the food lacked flavour and was not enjoyable with the exception of the maftoul/Moroccan cigars
- the cost of the pre-fix menu $65/person is expensive given the poor quality of the food
- the total cost for 4 ppl exceeded $550 (18% tip included), and included 1 bottle of mediocre/overpriced zinfidel wine, 4 cocktails, 3 proseccos, 1 small mint tea and Moroccan fries/stater added to pre-fix menu
- the cost is not the issue, but given the poor quality of the food, it is
- don’t order the tagine; we ordered 4 different kinds as our mains and they were equally bad
- eggplant appetizer was a sloppy mess that had no flavour
- stay away from the baklava; tasted very much like it was purchased from a grocery store
The food was not good. The place was understaffed.
The service was very bad and slow. Poor management. We heard a lot of good things from this place, but it was not what we expected. No show or anything special. Not even music.
I wish we spent our night somewhere else.
Food was delicious but the service was bit slow due to packed seating.
One of the worst experience we could ever have! Don’t even waist your time and money! Everything was awful
Had a great time! Nice food and lovely service!
I love this restaurant. Great for birthday’s and family Dinners. The food is so good. And the place is so beautiful !!!!!
Wonderful experience at the Sultan's Tent for a birthday, the food was good the belly dancers and the drum master work their buns off to provide an amazing inclusive show ....the staff is amazing our waiter Ronnie was one of the best waiters I ever had he was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and made us feel Welcome ! Overall our experience at Sultan's Tent was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone.
We had a great time and absolutely everything was great! The servers were amazing, the general manager walks up to every table to ensure everyone is having a good time, and the food was excellent. The entertainment was lots of fun. Highly recommend.
It was simply beautiful and satisfying.
Great experience, the show was great, the food was great, the service was amazing.
Fantastic experience to see the belly dancers and try authentic Moroccan food! Loved it highly recommended very lovely staff
The wait staff were really friendly and helpful with the menu. There was 1 belly dancer who really danced for 30 mins. They should have had at least 2 to fill the room. A rather pleasant place to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries.
The food was delicious, I’d definitely go back to try more things on the menu!!
The staff was extremely welcoming and inviting and our server Mahmood was exceptional! He was very attentive and remembered that I mentioned it was my friends birthday so he brought our dessert out with a candle. I ordered the Merguez Tajine which was delicious. Overall it is worth checking out for sure :)
Wonderful evening, great food and entertainment. Our waiter Dominic was fantastic! Highly recommend 👌
Loved every bit of the experience in the tent!
Amazing food and ambiance!
Thank you Sultan’s tent for an experience so dear to our heart
The sultan tents was worth every dollar, 10/10
Our waiter Dom was awesome thanks for all the suggestions…
and the belly dancing show was the icing on the cake… thanks for an amazing experience!!!
A great night out. Good staff, food and atmosphere
We spent our Anniversary at the restaurant. It was an amazing experience. The food, the show, the sitting at the tent. The attentiveness of the staff. We will definitely come back.
We did not choose the live show option because we wanted a quiet dinner. Unfortunately the loud music spilled over into an otherwise cozy setting. The food was excellent, our server was attentive, knowledgeable friendly and only added to the experience of the meal. I would recommend this restaurant!
