          We’re new to living in Manhattan Beach and had dined at The Strand House about a month ago and it was a nice experience so we decided to book for Mother’s Day. We could not have been more disappointed. The service was the worst that we’ve had in a long time. We had to get up 3x’s to ask for our waitress. We then had another waitress helping us out but she seemed to be stretched doing so. The food was good quality so that was not the issue. The overall experience was disappointing especially since it was Mother’s Day. I’m not sure if the issue was understaffing or the specific server. The restaurant wasn’t full and since it was a set menu I’m not sure why it wasn’t running smoothly. We paid close to $600 for an experience that was very disappointing. We won’t be back to The Strand House given the other options in Manhattan Beach.

          Had a lovely evening. We were a party of 6. Great table by the window with a sea and pier view. It’s a modern contemporary feel to the room and the food. Our server was attentive and had knowledge of the menu. We had 3 courses cocktails and 2 bottles of wine. $950 with tip. If you ordering the doughnuts it’s a sharer!!

          Excellent food, service, and view of the beach. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. A bit on the pricier side but worth every penny for the unique flavors offered.
