The Strand House is a sophisticated yet comfortable family-owned restaurant conceived by a small group of South Bay families out of their love for great food, wine and friends. With floor to ceiling glass windows and 180° sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, world travelers and locals alike may come for the view, but stay for Chef Chris Park’s Coastal California Cuisine.

Our menu highlights the bounty of produce available year round in Southern California. Each week, our chefs roam the farmers market sourcing directly from the best farmers and purveyors around. The Strand House is also home to a thoughtful and carefully crafted cocktail and wine program that is sure to please each of our guests.

We are located in beautiful downtown Manhattan Beach, just steps from the famous Manhattan Beach Pier. The Strand House offers a five-star experience with the warmth and hospitality you would expect from a beach town, where each guest is treated like family.

Lovely as always. Perfect service. Food was good. Except vegan pasta dish had a sauce that upset my stomach. Didn’t know it would have sauce. The salmon my friend had was good.

Looked forward for a nice birthday dinner. Expected a good restaurant with a nice view. Searched 20-25 minutes for a parking lot. The restaurant was overcrowded and so damn loud that we had to shout to understand each other. We waited nearly 90 minutes for noodles. Sorry but never again !

Delightful dinner in an undeliverable setting. Excellent birthday experience. Branzino and seabass were great. The brussel sprouts as a side were excellent too.

We’re new to living in Manhattan Beach and had dined at The Strand House about a month ago and it was a nice experience so we decided to book for Mother’s Day. We could not have been more disappointed. The service was the worst that we’ve had in a long time. We had to get up 3x’s to ask for our waitress. We then had another waitress helping us out but she seemed to be stretched doing so. The food was good quality so that was not the issue. The overall experience was disappointing especially since it was Mother’s Day. I’m not sure if the issue was understaffing or the specific server. The restaurant wasn’t full and since it was a set menu I’m not sure why it wasn’t running smoothly. We paid close to $600 for an experience that was very disappointing. We won’t be back to The Strand House given the other options in Manhattan Beach.
