We made Sunday brunch reservations and when we got there realized that was unnecessary because we were the sole customers in there. They were all out of biscuits which I thought was strange because it was Sunday brunch? And I know they didn't have a busy morning because it was empty the entire time we were there. Kind of strange, maybe we just didn't go at the right time. The food and service was fine, nothing great. $6 Bloody Mary was okay.

We breezed in and out, the service was solid and food very tasty! This is a great choice. Make sure you look up at the cool ceiling fan system, too! Definitely want to try this place at night sometime. It was very quiet when we visited.

The restaurant is traditional gorgeous dark wood which I prefer, though the 7 flat screen TVs are eyesores; thankfully they were muted. I was hoping for more than simple bar food. My date said the burger was good. The staff were polite if a bit inattentive. The venue seems unsure if it's a classy sports or a brassy restaurant. I had hoped for a dark, cozy place where one could share a stout drink and intimate conversations, but I'm a romantic at heart.

The much touted Thai pig wings are a must. But better than that is the Not Your Standard Egg. A perfectly cooked soft boiled egg is enclosed in a light fried crust, perfectly seasoned and sauce and sausage, and wispy onion ring slivers. Heavenly! Shrimp and grits were very delightful. Great flavors that complimented the perfectly cooked shrimp and creamy grits. The special was rack of lamb, that again, was a culinary delight. We don't mind a small menu, if everything is wonderful. That is this restaurant. The service was a little spotty, but not a reason not to go. There were 6 of us and the bill averaged about $50 each, including cocktails. This was our third time there and wish it were located closer to our house, do it could be a weekly stop!

Above and beyond our expectations! Great wine pairing and creative menu presentation. We were impressed with our waiter, and would return for a non-holiday dinner. Hope this place takes off!

Great brunch, what can be bad about The Standard Breakfast and Excellent Frittata. Of course Bloody Mary's and Mimosa's.

First time experience at Standard Pour. Enjoyed the Valentine's Day special with wine pairing. Everything was fantastic, especially the foie gras. Will definitely be back the next time we are in KC.

This was my second time to have dinner at the Standard Pour, first experience was excellent; food, service and drinks. Second time at Standard Pour, I invited some friends to join, after enjoying my visit the first time. This experience was by-far one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. We waited nearly an hour, for two, really small appetizer plates and probably another hour before our dinner had showed up. The restaurant was not very crowded for a Friday night, so the slow delivery time for our food didn't seem justified. It also seemed like the food quality was not up to par for a Friday evening meal; the appetizers or entrees. We mentioned to our waiter about our experience and he said he would have the manager come see us. The manager did stop by our table, and he didn't seem to care about our frustrations. Finally, at the end of the night, after initially receiving a bill for our complete meal, the waiter did return with a new ticket, that had the food comped completely. This was just a really disappointing experience, for a patron that lives in the neighborhood, and normally enjoys trying new, locally owned restaurants in Westport. We normally try a local establishment before a chain. The chances are very slim that we will ever return to Standard Pour, let alone recommend it to any of our friends or family.

We took advantage of the special menu available during 2016 Restaurant Week. The filet was so tender you could cut it with a fork and was cooked perfectly! The parsnips were a nice compliment to the filet. My husband loved the special catfish dish which was coated in a crunchy panko / nutty breadcrumb that was very light and interesting. Pete Peterman is definitely an asset to this establishment - adding his sophisticated culinary expertise as the chef. The only suggestion for improvement would be to offer a bottle of wine that is just a little less pricey - I consider $55 for the least expensive wine a little excessive. Although the wine we had was delicious we would have appreciated the option of something at a lower price point.
