Always a delight to dine here at the Spinnaker. The team of waiters are friendly and attentive and we just enjoy ourselves every time we eat dinner The view cannot be beat.
Overall - the food and ambiance were great. The service was as well once we got seated. I’d definitely go back again.
The big thing that was a bit disappointing is I had reserved it in advance at open table and put a note saying the occasion was for a birthday and wanted a nice location. When we got there they tried to put us in a location not in a desirable location we wished. I had to tell them to move us and from there it was fine. No one wished her a happy birthday or tried to make the event special.
With pandemic who knows so much going on these days. That would be only thing. Otherwise we enjoyed our time and thankfully the weather was great.
Food and service was excellent. The only drawback was that it was windy and the sun had moved toward the front leaving the area in the shade. Hopefully with indoor dining on the horizon this won’t be an issue. If outdoor dining stays the mandate, go early if you want to be in the sun....
The crab & avocado salad appetizer AND the burrata appetizer both OUTSTANDING!!!!!
The fish & chips: the fish was quite good although a TAD overcooked/dry, but the chips were so/so (skinny fries instead of thick steak fries or wedges like we are used to).
The view & atmosphere were OUTSTANDING! Only complain in that dept was the super corny music (sounded like a retirement home - corny jazz).
The service was excellent other than at the end when he announced the price out loud and also announced my Open Table credit $10 and this was a gift, so that was not cool! I was taking someone out for their birthday, which they knew. They should NEVER announce the price of the bill or a gift card one is using. Very tacky.
But all in all a very good experience.
Best meal we have had since Covid began
Service, ambiance, and location were great. However the amount of food and taste was not very good in my opinion. I had to request salt and pepper for my pasta because it was very plain.
Food has improved. View can’t be beat
Servers are all very efficient and pleasant
Stunning location. Delicious, fresh food. The lobster tail and scallops are to die for. Will absolutely be back.
The restaurant was not particularly busy. But it took 1 hour for the waiter to take our order. We arrived at 7:45pm and were served dinner at 9:30pm without appetizers. They seem like they are vastly confused on how to operate under Covid restrictions.
We are parents of four children so we seldom get a night to ourselves, which makes these rare nights when my wife and I can have a romantic date very special. So we chose The Spinnaker, based on our experience from last year and based on additional research.
We had made a reservation for 5:45pm, just in time to see the sunset from our table, while enjoying the views of the water.
Unfortunately things didn't go according to plan: we were received at the reception with a cold shoulder, we were seated at a wobbly table, in a corner, by the door and in the middle of the kindergarten section. We both both love children, but we had been looking forward to a romantic date night, in a quiet, romantic setting. And an eprienced host would have seated us accordingly, but this wasn't the case. We have even asked for a different table, which was empty, but we were told it wasn't available. We had also asked if we could be seated at a table with a heater, we were told yes, but then seated a table without any heaters close by.
We then proceeded to order and my wife asked if she could have a Dirty Martini with a few extra olives. She was told YES, but got instead a regular Martini without any extra olives. The appetizer bread was cold, the crab cakes were just average. So we've decided to cut short our less than romantic experience, asked for our bill without ordering main courses and moved to a more decent place a few blocks away.
Awesome amazing place to dine
Server was great. Great location. Great atmosphere.
They sat us three times, the first time they were going to sit us down at a table for two people and we were a party of four, the second time they tried to sit us inside when we specifically asked for a table outside (Also, they shouldn’t be sitting anyone inside because of COVID and they had at least six tables inside with people dinning in), and the third time they sat us while the table wasn’t event cleared out from the last party that was there.
The service was awful, we waited AN HOUR between each course, the server didn’t know the menu or how the prices worked for such special menu; the server was nowhere to be found between courses to ask for to-go boxes or to REMIND him to bring us the cocktail menu. Between the switching off of different tables and the horrible service, we ended up leavening at 8 when our reservation was at 3:30!
The view it’s great and all but the service and organization of this place it’s AWFUL.
Valentine’s get away.
Fantastic views of Richardson Bay and San Francisco. Great service!
Very nice for special occasions, portions small but very tasty.
Very enjoyable late lunch venue - good food and great views
Birthday dinner outdoors on the deck overlooking the Bay. Food and service was excellent! Could not have been more perfect.
Truly a picturesque location, matched with superb service and food. I would absolutely go back again and again for that Sausalito Wintertime Salad!
Beautiful place for a special family meal
Excellent service... following the covid precautions and getting heaters everywhere to keep you warmy
Always great service and excellent food at SpinnakerBeautiful views of the bay.
Savory and delicious New England clam chowder .
Fish n chips tasted frozen and over fried. Not fresh.
Salads were good. Nice atmosphere for outdoor dining.
Haley was our waitress and she is outstanding in every way. I must have called at least 10 times having to change the time of reservation because I was stuck on the Bay Bridge for 3-hours. The view, the heaters, the food, the service, 5+ Stars all across the board. Thank you! Will return again & again!
It was cold outside and the heaters helped somewhat.
Always great food and wonderful service by Lexi. She always has a smile and takes great care of us.
Great location, friendly service
We dined on the patio. The restaurant did a nice job of proving a nice environment. They had space heaters and also heaters that could be used at the table. The food was good and the service was good as well. We had a great time.
The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious and unique, and the view from the deck looking out across the Bay was outstanding!
Food left much to be desired. Staff were attentive. View nice, heaters kept us toasty, COVID protocols all appropriate (although tabès were closer than six feet). Won’t be returning due to poor food quality.
Lexie served us-always pleasant and smiling ! Great service!
Sitting on the water couldn’t have been more perfect. Service was a bit delayed. And for what they charge, portions should have been more reflective and creative. But I’m seeing this at most high end restaurants. Just ate at Dry Creek Kitchen last night. Same thing. I’ll blame it on CoVid. Can’t wait for you all to redeem yourselves once the craziness is over. Food was amazing.
Great service, delicious food and a beautiful view.
