   The food and drinks were delish. Tartare, escargot, octopus and truffle fries! Server was nice and paced things perfectly. We sat out on the patio, which is nice, however it is a busier intersection.

   Very cool eatery with a solid well balanced menu . Some authentic classic French dishes which were well executed and delicious. Great personable and attentive staff Overall absolutely worth the visit here in San Diego for a reasonably priced , excellent dining experience.

   It was our anniversary. Service was great and hosts were friendly. Food was good, ordered the Cheese plate & Duck Pate ( was a little too much for us ). The Maple Duck was so delicious, and the Crème Brûlée really ended the night on a sweet note. WOULD COME BACK AGAIN!

   Food was excellent… steak, escargot, and octopus cooked to perfection. It’s a small restaurant so the interior, full, was pretty noisy. Service was sparse, they just let you be. But because of the food quality and flavor, I’d definitely go back again.

   Great food, great service! We had a group of four and each ordered an appetizer to share. We had the muscles, escargot, baked brie, and the liver. For dinner we shared the steak frites and the mushroom fettuccine. We absolutely enjoyed everything. Each dish had amazing flavors. Would highly recommend!

   The only dangerous thing is all of the food is beautiful and delicious! Ambience, atmosphere, and staff are all amazing.

   We had the pleasure of dining at The Smoking Goat for the first time yesterday, and we were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. From the moment we arrived, our server made us feel right at home. They were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us to the perfect wine pairing for our meal. It’s clear that the staff is passionate about both the food and the experience they offer. To start, we shared the steak tartare, which was hands down the best we've had in San Diego. The freshness of the meat paired with the seasoning was spot-on. For our main courses, we went with the steak frites and the mushroom linguine. It was a tough decision, given how many tempting options were on the menu, but we made great choices. The steak frites came with a generous New York Strip that was perfectly cooked and paired with fries that were crispy, well-seasoned, and enhanced by a delicious truffle flavor. As for the mushroom linguine, it was rich, flavorful, and comforting – the mushrooms were cooked to perfection and the pasta had the ideal bite. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. We definitely recommend The Smoking Goat to anyone looking for a high-quality meal in San Diego. We can’t wait to return!

   Every dish is absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality and care put into all the food. The staff is super friendly and the ambience is so nice. This is my second time visiting this restaurant and it’s a place we will always return to in our future visits in San Diego!
