Average food. Restaurant is not in good shape. Service was below average. Getting a check and getting out took way too long.

We enjoyed our lunch and had a great waitress. We had oysters, fish sandwich and shrimp jambalaya. We will definitely return to The Shrimp Factory the next time we visit Savannah.

A great legacy seafood restaurant in Savannah. Have been here many times over the years and the food is great and prices still reasonable. Get the platter and an Artillery Punch! The greeting and hostess seating could have been better and the service was fine but has been better in the past. Great, enjoyable meal, though. One thing I'm not digging is new, very bright white LED lighting... the place is super bright and it detracts from the old school ambiance we used to enjoy. I'd sure have a lighting consultant come redesign the interior lighting to correct that.

We just had the most pleasant and delicious meal at the Shrimp Factory!! We had made a reservation through Open Table and we were greeted and seated immediately and were brought water without asking. There were so many dishes on the menu that looked yummy. Luckily for us, the food for a large party next to us came out while we were looking at the menu so we were able to preview several dishes. Our wonderful server, Kayla, helped us with our choices and we ultimately selected the calamari appetizer and the Shrimp Alfredo and Crab Stuffed Flounder. Everything was delicious! The calamari came out lightning fast and was hot and crispy. . Our entrees were cooked to perfection ; the portions were generous and the flounder and shrimp was incredibly fresh. Even the rice and asparagus that came with the flounder was perfectly cooked and delicious. However the highlight of our meal was the excellent service provided by Kayla!! Even though she was also serving the large party, her service was outstanding!! She kept our drinks full and perfectly timed the delivery of our appetizer and entree. We wish we could give Kayla 10 stars!! Her personality was so bubbly and friendly!!! While we can’t brag on Kayla enough, we want to give a shout out to each employee who interacted with us (even briefly) for being so hospitable. Our only complaint is that we didn’t try the Shrimp Factory until our last night. Our next trip to Savannah we will definitely go there first!! Thank you Kayla and the rest of the staff for making our first trip to this beautiful city so memorable!!

Our server Taylor, and the food were amazing. The location right on the banks of the Savannah river topped it off!

I recommend the rockefeller oysters and fried seafood. We don't recommend ordering the low country boil. It was bland.

Food was very good. Fried green tomatoes are very tasty. Hubby enjoyed the filet and I enjoyed at spinach salad with shrimp. Our server was fantastic and made great recommendations.

Food was excellent. Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had! My husband had the shrimp po boy and loved it. We both enjoyed the hush puppies with the pimento cheese. Excellent.

Good very very average, limp fries and overcooked food. Ordered drinks but as we had read the Georgia legislation which said ID required if you may be considered under age yet we were refused drinks at age 70 and 61. Everyone in the restaurant was evidently well over 50. They lost out on revenue of $40 worth of drinks and the related tip simply because they decided to apply legislation without any proper consideration. A drink might’ve made the food more palatable… We left the restaurant and went to a bar for a drink, guess what no ID check for two alcoholic cocktails. Interestingly we ate out tonight at a fabulous place without any mention of ID - why?.. because we are clearly of age!

Regarding the ID check, our staff was following company policies and Georgia legislation to ensure compliance. This requires that a patron must have a valid ID on their person to purchase alcohol. Other restaurants and bars may not comply with these laws, but our company takes them seriously. We understand this may have been frustrating, and we appreciate your understanding of the process. We’ll continue working to improve all aspects of our service and hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future.
