Overpriced food in a dingy setting with terrible service.
Great food - free shrimp cocktail, loved the coconut shrimp - crab stuffed flounder and shrimp Alfredo were delicious!
Food was great and the server was friendly
The first time we went, a few years ago, it was an afternoon and it was great. This time it was evening. We were placed at the same round table, by the restrooms, and the traffic around us was awful. People were coming in from River Street using the restroom. When we arrived and seated, it took the waitress over 20 minutes to even acknowledge us to provide water. Another waiter was actually kind enough to bring us water when he saw we were not seen yet. The food for each person came at different times and the waitress rarely came back to check on us. It took forever to get our bill so we could leave. Just a very dismal visit this time around.
Absolute worst service we have ever experienced. Our waitress barely waited on us, and it wasn’t even super busy. We attempted to ask another waitress for help, and she was so rude and disrespectful.
Ended up going to the take out section to get any help.
Food was over cooked and extremely greasy. Would never come back.
Ok... Young waitress (ok but subtle attitude)...
Food was good, great value as well. Service was the best part of the night.
The food took a long time to come out and was just "ok". Way too expensive for the quality
The sitting was a little tight. Waitress service was not good at all. I believe she had too many tables and our service was slow. Also, a guest asked about military discount and she stated he should've asked about it before the checks came out. However, she was never around and she didnt even suggest of correcting the receipt. WOW!
Flies everywhere so we spent most of the time swatting them away. The Bathrooms are too small, dirty and foul odor. Food not worth what we paid. The server was the best thing about the Shrimp Factory; he was good.
I think we just hit this place on a bad night when they had a large party of 20 coming. They weren‘t ready to seat us even though there were many empty tables. The pasta primavera, seafood dip, shrimp & crab bisque, and shrimp and sausage creole were excellent. But my sons steak was overcooked. The manager did offer to cook another, but we declined. They did not charge us for it. After apologizing she walked away rolling her eyes so I’m not sure she was sincere. The shrimp & crab au gratin and the pine bark stew were so so even though they were highly recommended. I would try this place again because it does have a great reputation.
Great food, great service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know and I would definitely go back.
The service was not good, low quality food, waiter took too long to wait on us. My steak was not cooked to order. I felt they were not interested in service that noght
Wife and I both had the filet with shrimp. She got the asparagus while I did the haricot verts. Wife got the front porch peach tea which was perfect. So was the meal. Everything was cooked to perfection. Then came the desert which was peach cobbler and key lime pie. Best cobbler I’ve ever had. Yes we paid a little more than most places, but everything about the meal was perfect. Best all around meal we’ve had possibly ever.
Food was overpriced for what you get and not very flavorful. Service was ok but food was disappointing.
Shrimp in shrimp cocktail was limp. Caesar Salad was oily. $30 Shrimp trio entree reminded me of shrimp appetizers in chains like Fridays. Disappointing for a ‘Shrimp Factory’. Worse meal I’ve had in Savannah.
Not a good experience. Service was very slow, food was delivered cold. Writing this review as no one from management stopped by our table to ask about our experience.
Food and atmosphere were good but our server kept “forgetting” things. She forgot our appetizer completely, forgot our drinks which we had to remind her of. Also forgot to bring bread which we had to remind her of. Food was fine but getting service was like pulling teeth.
Compared to last year, the food has decreased in quality. I was saddened this time around. The service was extremely slow and we had to ask for things several times. All round was dissatisfied and disappointed. Probably will not go back next year.
Server seemed very good but, restaurant seemed to not have enough staff the evening we were there.
My hubby and I had a great time. Tim our server was prompt, courtesy and friendly.
The music at one time was load. The restaurant had a misty smell that was very noticeable. This is probably caused by the high humidity being next to the river and lack of proper ventilation. I wish something could be done about it.
Love this restaurant
Great service, great view, great shrimp creole! We really liked it
Walked in and was seated immediately by a very sweet and prompt host. Our server Aseel was absolutely amazing, the service was on point and food was delicious! For dessert we had the bananas foster, made by another server named Skyler, it was absolutely amazing! Could not have asked for a better dining experience! Could not recommend the Shrimp Factory enough!
The restaurant was very nice and the food was delicious! Our waitress, Katie, was amazing! She filled us in on a few Savannah traditions, was super accommodating and extremely friendly; especially to our toddler son!
Good service. Food was overpriced for what you get but its location is nice.
I was there between the lunch and dinner crowds, so I'm not sure if it is always as quiet as it was during my dining. The interior reminded me more of a rustic cottage by the sea than a Cajun joint, but it was neat, clean and had a good atmospheric vibe.
The menu looked great, if a little pricey, but in-line with other places in Savannah. The food itself was a little pedestrian. I ordered shrimp and grits. It was flavorful and a good sized portion, but nothing that I couldn't create myself at home (the grits were not smooth and creamy and the shrimp seemed to be unseasoned) . Desert was Traditional Bananas Foster, done flambed at the table. The desert was delicious, but could have used a better rum for the base (spiced rum always adds that extra zest)
The service was amazingly good. My server was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and did an excellent job with the preparation and presentation of the desert.
Great food and service, would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Food is always good but staff usually is not the best
The shrimp was really fresh and cooked perfectly. We wanted the Bananas Foster for dessert, but the waiter said the bananas didn't look good and he wouldn't reccomend it. I got the feeling he just didn't want to do the flambe. 🤷♀️
Fun place, good for kids because it's a robust atmosphere so don't have to worry about kids disturbing other patrons. Average chain food quality. Good family experience. Savannah riverfront is always fun.
❤️👍👍👍Thank you it was great . I would recommend it to my friends
A pleasant surprise. As Savannah locals for the past few years, we've avoided this place -- felt it was too River Street touristy. Four of us thought their Restaurant Week menu looked good, and all 4 of us enjoyed every aspect (except the pecan pie -- just so-so). Nice atmosphere, delicious food, good service. We'd go again.
Service was so incredibly slow and the restaurant was not busy. An hour and a half from seated to food. Took almost an hour for our salads to arrive on hot plates which wilted the lettuce. Rare refills on drinks. Food was okay at best. Overall experience was just so dismal I would not return, nor would I recommend.
Way too many problems to write in 50 words or less. Tourist trap. Overpriced. Food just not good. I've had better seafood at Captain D's
The place was beautiful, and the food was magnificent. Very flavorful and worth the money. The server was very good and attentive to us and her other tables. We will definitely come back when we come back to Savannah.
I got the Crabs and they were awesome. It came with shrimp that was over done. No problem, the chef made me a new order. My only recommendation would be to have another choice besides the red rice.
Thank you for a wonderful evening
Linda from Massachusetts
Everything was marvelous. The food, the service, the atmosphere. We had an incredible time. And got plenty of food for what you pay for.
I’m quite sure there are better places for seafood in Savannah. Recommended by our hotel. Seemed kind of dirty. Food mediocre.
