Very good overall. Food was good but not exceptional.
Good restaurant service very good.
Excellent meal. Carpaccio is highly recommended and service was great
I came to The Shore Club for the ambiance and menu and it was exactly as I expected. The service was amazing! I wish I could remember my waiters name but she was very attentive and informative the whole time we were there. One of my guest was very picky but she was patient and helped her with making food choices which I appreciated a lot. The food was also great! I ordered the salmon, Mac and cheese and asparagus. I have no complaints, I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu.
Had a perfect birthday celebration at The Shore Club. They were very accommodating to our ever changing party size, and once we arrived we received the best service! The food was fantastic.
We celebrated my daughter's 19th birthday that night, right before we walked to the Princess of Wales theatre to see the Lion King. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like royalty. Our server was knowledgeable and ensured that we were able to leave the restaurant in time for the show. Our family loves a good steak, and we were very impressed with the quality of our steaks--the striploin and tenderloin were amazing. We were also given a lovely birthday treat--the truffles were divine and the presentation was elegant. All in all, it was a wonderful celebration made possible by The Shore Club.
Lunch is always good value at The Shore Club and even better with Summerlicious. The ambiance is soothing as it is not nearly as crowded as in the evening. The background music was quiet at lunch but I find it rather loud at dinner. For a restaurant in a modern building, the ceiling is high which contributes to the classy atmosphere. Most tables have tablecloths (there is an apparent reason why those in booths do not) and as an added touch of elgance the cutlery is real silver - an endangered species in Canadian restaurants.
Nice quiet place for dinner.
Came here for my birthday on a Wednesday night. I was thoroughly impressed.
I'm not sure if we were just lucky but every single item we ordered was superb. The white clam chowder, rib eye steak, filet mignon, wild mushroom, broccoli, and salt and vinegar shoestring fries are all highly recommendable - especially that clam chowder...still thinking about it.
On top of the food, the service was amazing. Our waiter had a shadow for the night but both seemed very competent. We were quietly checked up on frequently and the pacing of when food came out really matched the flow of the evening - not rushed but also not overly slow. We were there for over 3 hours and it didn't feel like it at all.
Maybe the quietness of evening helped in this attention to detail but either way not complaining. Manager came out and thanked us for the patronage and they even gave me a nice handwritten card for my birthday.
I will be looking to come back in the future and would recommend this place to others in a heartbeat.
Amazing service, nice leisurely dinner on a girls trip. Traditional surf & turf, very delicious. Highly recommend!
The food was amazing! The wife had salmon and it was a large cut and cooked perfectly, I had a steak with shrimp and both were fantastic! Service was great, quick, courteous, thoughtful and accurate. Menu is a al cartel and comes with large sides. Bill wasn’t cheap but worth every penny! Will be back for sure!
Over priced for quality of food experience. Short rib was barely warm sides were sub par in taste and plate was poorly presented. Service was very friendly and manager did apologize for food issues and made bill accommodations.
After a somewhat frosty greeting from the door hostess we were shown to our table and greeted by Ally, our server for the evening; she was remarkably friendly, very professional and gave very clear explanations of the menu and dishes.
The dishes we chose (Starter, soup and main) were all enormous portions to what we were expecting of a restaurant of this standard and we were very well satisfied by the end of the meal, enough to not need dessert.
The ambience in the restaurant was very buzzy and a good number of tables given that it was a Tuesday evening. Noise levels were nothing out of the ordinary and the booth we sat in felt very private.
An excellent choies and one to revisit when next in Toronto.
Loved the convenience of the restaurant in Downtown TO close to Roy Thompson Hall. The valet service was great (very convenient and easy peasy) and the restaurant itself was just what we were looking for. Exceptional valet and restaurant service, good food with a diverse menu. We would highly recommend!
This was the second visit in a month and we thoroughly enjoy the seafood. It si fresh, tasty and innovative. Will visit more often in the future.
Ideally situated for concert and theatre goers.
Excellent service, excellent meal! Highly recommended, particularly if you enjoy seafood.
Spectacular meal for Father's Day. Just about the best Prime Rib I've eaten. Very attentive and polite service in a beautiful setting. We were thrilled!
Would go back again and again.
Excellent service and food. The food portions are very generous. Definitely will return again.
We had the most amazing waiter Lou who was so thoughtful and personable. The Shore Club also added little extras that made our dinner feel like a special event.
We enjoyed the upscale atmosphere, perfect for a romantic evening. The food was excellent. The seafood chowder was creamy with ample chunks of seafood. The steak was grilled perfectly. Our server Gabriel, was knowledgeable about the menu and was helpful making suggestions (without being pushy). Definitely worth visiting again... (which we've booked already)
The place is really nice...omething you'd expect from a steakhouse. The service was good but it was a little slow getting our food. I highly recommend the short rib. Drinks were good.
We sat at the bar to enjoy the oyster special. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable and accommodating. My dinner companion had not been to the Shore Club before but I am sure she will return.
It was just ok. Nothing over the top
Great services, especially our waitress, it was impressive. Our food was fantastic too. We had the best lunch in Toronto. Thank you!!
We loved our dinner at The Shore Club. The food was excellent, and the service was truly exceptional, especially from our main server, Jacob. We had 1 guest in a wheelchair and another celebrating her 80th birthday, and every aspect of the meal--including thoughtful special treatment and accommodations for these guests--exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!!
Perfect for business meals, dates and special occasions. The noise level is just right to conduct business. The service is impeccable and the staff are attentive but not intrusive. Excellent customer service. The food is at par with the price. I would definitely repeat and recommend.
Probably could have dropped $700 at any other restaurant and had a better experience. It was just a series of unfortunate events not any one thing and no one person’s fault. But clearly this place needs to take a look at the whole machine and fix some issues. I can’t recommend Shore Club and I won’t be returning. Tried to not let it ruin our festivities but feel embarrassed.
The food was amazing, i was surprised that the potion size was big. The service was top notch.
Food was great. Service was great. It was my mother’s 91st birthday celebration. She was pleased...
We had a great service and one of my staff who I treated for her birthday felt so special and well taken care of. The only comment that I had was the rainbow trout special that I had ordered was quite salty.
Got reservations on short notice and was absolutely floored by the service and the food. Server was pleasant and attentive to our requests. The food was simply put amazing cooked to our liking and was very flavorful. I will and have already recommended this restaurant to friends and colleagues.
The service was excellent and food was wonderful! It was my first time but I would definitely recommend it. The ambiance was great too with a modern, elegant and cozy setting.
I enjoy so much the dinner! I went there with my parents who came to visit me from Italy. I live in Philly and we decided at this ti to visit toronto. I read about the shore club on my book 36 days from New York Times. It was so good! Food delicious, the ambience classy but no too classy and our server Gabriel was awesome! He knows Italian very well and my parents finally for once understood what they were eating and they have been treating so well!
Thank you Gabriel and thank you shore club to give to me and my family a great night!!!
Gabe was the best! always came and checked on us and made sure everything was to our liking. Overall very good dining experience!
Thanx so much for the special attention. This was our yearly girlfriend 2019 trip. We appreciated the sparkling wine to start, dessert to go, attentiveness from our waiter and even the manager came over to check on us. Our waiter even offered to take some group pics. :) Truly loved the food and the experience. If I make it back up there, I'll definitely come again. thanx.
Six colleagues and I ate dinner at The Shore Club after arriving in Toronto for a business meeting/conference. We walked from the Fairmont, which was only a few blocks away. The weather was great.
We shared three appetizers (including fried calamari and spicy popcorn shrimp), each ordered entrees (mainly steak and fish), and shared several sides, including salads, onion rings, broccoli, and asparagus. Some of the group shared 2 bottles of wine, while others ordered individual drinks. We also shared three desserts.
I had the black cod and king crab, which was a very tender and flavorful piece of fish topped with shredded crab and seasoning.
The food was really delicious, but the wait was a bit long in between courses. We were seated right away at 6:30 and didn't leave the restaurant until after 9:00 p.m.
With tax and tip, the final bill was $868.27 (Can) or $647.80 (US).
It was my first time to this restaurant and it was fantastic. Alley and Primitivo (our servers) really made our visit extra special. Food was fantastic and so was the wine. 😉
The restaurant consistently delivers a 5 Star experience. I had mentioned on my reservation that we were celebrating 2 birthdays.
Soon after being seated we were treated with champagne to start our celebration. After the meal we were served two thoughtful plates of bite size home made brownies including strawberries with a candle for each of us. The plates were nicely decorated with Happy Birthday written in chocolate. Our sever heard me comment about the deliciousness of their key lime pie. He proceeded to bring a slice for my wife and I to share along with our coffee order. Everything I mentioned above was provided complimentary by the restaurant.
So very disappointed. When we arrived with reservations we were placed in the lounge/bar. I expressed how uncomfortable the seats were as we felt like we were sinking into them. The waitress explained that all seating was like this. The restaurant send a glass of Champaign as were were celebrating a bday. The service went down hill from this point. We orders apps As we planned to enjoy our night and take our time eating. Then rather quickly our dinner entrees were brought out. I explained to the wait staff we had not even received our appetizers. Zero service recovery on there part. Our food was still placed in front of us and we waited till our waitress arrived. She asked if we still wanted our apps. Zero service recovery. We explained that we would just eat the dinner as we did not want it to go cold. This was the last time the table was visited until the bill came. I asked for my $47 steak to come medium rare, it was in fact medium well. When she came at the end she asked if we wanted free dessert for our problems......we were there celebrate yet we felt ignored and we were a bother. $205 spent in 52 mins on an evening out that left us both so disappointed.
