Seafood was not up to par for the price or expectation of a seafood restaurant. I can find better seafood in Missouri.
Food was good except for the shrimp, which were tasteless. Our server was arrogant and condescending, which totally ruined our Mother's Day dinner.
Service was outstanding. I had crab cakes and they were outstanding. My daughter had soft shell crabs and I tasted them and they were excellent.
One of the highlights for our Mothers Day weekend venture to Williamsburg. Waitress was awesome. I don't remember her name; but she was a foreigner. Super awesome attitude and so humbling and attentive. We need more like her!!!!!!
We were a group of 12 for my son's graduation from William and Mary. The staff at The Seafare were terrific and the food was delicious! We wish we were going to be in the area again, because we would definitely return.
Service was a little slow. Didn't like the face you could only order house wine by the glass. But the food was awesome, their garden salad was the best U every had. I would definitely go back.
fantastic find. We were celebrating a family occasion with a large group (8 persons ranging in age from early 20s to mid-80s) and everyone left happy and satisfied. The waitress was very friendly and patient, the seafood was excellent with large portions, and the decor very pleasant. A definite recommend.
Wait service tried very hard to please! Didn’t understand my husbands drink order, but the were pleasant and courteous! Menu was a little hard to navigate! Ordered a shrimp cocktail that was 5 shrimp on the menu and only received 4
The sea food was excellent and cooked to perfection The service was very good.
The hollandaise sauce for the asparagus was cold and terrible tasting. My crabmeat cocktail was dry, but there was lots of crabmeat. The soft shell crabs were delicious, and my husband’s steak was adequate.
This was our first visit to the Seafare and we enjoyed it. The service was superb, thanks to the skill and friendliness of our server Igor. We all had seafood and the various dishes were well prepared. My mixed seafood grill seemed more steamed than grilled but the combination of the fish, scallops, shrimp and lobster were delicious. However, I didn't care for the oysters. They were tough and my least favorite in flavor. We enjoyed our wine selection from the very extensive wine list, a very reasonably priced Cote de Provence. For dessert we went with Igor's recommendation of the baklava. It was not too sweet or buttery. In all, we agreed that we would like to return to the Seafare and sample more of the menu.
The only disappointment was the the Cafe Royal. You get to take the glass home with you but its just the same as a water glass. Nothing special what so ever. Was not worth $12.
Our meal at Seafare was very good. Thoroughly enjoyed the orange sherbet between courses - what a treat! I ordered the seafood casserole and was expecting a rich cheesy or creamy dish. It was more like all of the seafood broiled and put in the same bowl served together. Disappointing from the standpoint of my expectations for the dish, but the seafood was very good anyway.
The place has no vibe. The food was less quality than Red Lobster. There are much better places than this .
Food was inconsistent, service was extremely disappointing. Not prepared to serve a large group. Waitress was indifferent. She did not check on our satisfaction, and took a long time to take our orders.
Friends first time visit...extremely impressed...will be back next time in Williamsburg..
Anna, our waitress, was delightful. Nice to have a good meal in a place that still believes in white linen table cloths, dressed up waiters/waitresses and a bit of formality. Perfect for
a birthday. Seafood was good, filet was great.
The Seafare is always outstanding and we look forward to visiting every year. It is a local restaurant that offers a great steak and seafood menu and is always reliably good. We appreciate the quiet environment and the excellent staff.
This was our first time there and we will come back again
Wonderful staff service, food was great and i loved that they sang to use for our 1st year anniversary. They also gave us a complimentary desert for our anniversary that meant a lot to us.
My wife and I were visiting Williamsburg to see the area and the blossoms in DC. (Unfortunately, we were too early!) There were many restaurant choices in Williamsburg and we were fortunate to choose The Seafare for dinner on our last night. The dining experience was wonderful from the cloth table covering and napkins to the wonderful food selection. The service was very good without being always at your table. We both had the Sauton Ceramic Cooked meals. Enjoyed them immensely. We highly recommend The Seafare.
The seafood was so fresh and delicious. From the petite rum cakes through bananas foster for dessert,
the experience was wonderful. The service was superb and I would highly recommend this restaurant. We have tried a variety of Williamsburg restaurants over the last three years, and this is definitely in our top two.
The food was fresh and delicious, the wait staff friendly and efficient. The decor was reminiscent of dining on an ocean liner without the seasickness.
The food was very good. Amazing Crab dip appetizers. Nice atmosphere and the service was excellent.
Went based on high Trip Advisor rating. First impression fantastic but mostly downhill from there. Server was coolly efficient, not impolite but clearly ready to be done. Felt like we'd interrupted plans to take off early? Ordered white wine which was elegantly presented, but served at room temperature! For the prices charged expected a side salad to come with the meal, but no. Entrees were ok. Scallops were not properly caramelized, but the fish was perfect. All underseasoned and a bit bland. Baked potato was almost raw in the middle. Opted not to ask for replacement because by that point we already felt in the way because the dining room was buzzing with people setting up for tomorrow's service. (We were there hours before closing time) Amazed they didnt run the vacuum. The interior is beautiful and elegant, but the rest...we were sorely disappointed.
Food and service were great!
We had a wonderful time.
Excellent food and service. Clam chowder left a LOT to be desired. Watery.
A lovely setting for a special dinner. We took our 17 year old grandson and he was very impressed. Wonderful service. He loved the extras, especially the palate cleanser.
Overall disappointed and did not feel the quality of the meal equaled the cost. The oysters in the main dish were soggy and lacked taste and still had part of the shell attached (which did not realize until started to eat).
If you are not too picky this is a good place. We had the special and should not have done that. Both of us had tummy issues day after. We will not go back.
Loved our seating, the decour, the food and the service, especially our waitress, Irena.
We opted for a restaurant with atmosphere for Valentine's Day and the Seafare filled the bill. Service was outstanding.
Best restaurant crab cakes I have ever had! Wait staff is extremely professional. The ambiance is very nice.
We enjoyed our recent dinner at the Seafare Restaurant. We dined on a Monday night and the restaurant was very quiet. We received excellent service and the food was delicious. Would definitely return.
My wife and I went to the Seafare to celebrate a job promotion. The food and service was excellent. The staff was prompt, and very helpful with any questions. I will be going back.
The reservation was made a week ahead of time; not only recorded online but also called the restaurant to say the 4 of us were celebrating a 39th wedding anniversary but also a 70th birthday. We were told there would be complimentary dessert for each as well as the waitstaff singing table side; the waitress knew nothing about either; brought the desserts; no singing; so ooopppssss!!!!!!!
We were celebrating our 41st anniversary at this special restaurant. It's more of a high-end restaurant on the expensive side but good food to match. The portions are large: even with the two of us sharing the chopped salad, we still had some to carry out; similarly, my sauton (highly recommended!) was generous with left-overs for our next day's lunch. The tiniest disappointment was the cherries jubilee since the almonds were burnt; the serving was not huge but enough to share at the end of a filling dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to find a 10% off coupon in the Menu book at our B & B which was honored at The Seafare.
This is our 3rd time at this restaurant. The food was very good and the atmosphere is very nice. We had a nice quiet booth. The location to our hotel and the premium outlet was perfect.
The service was great!! The food was great!! The atmosphere outstanding!!
