We have been here several times while visiting Williamsburg. Always a delight and the food, service and overall appearance is great. Luka our server was absolutely outstanding. He made every request possible and with wonderful presence. Our seating was a bit crowded. We were seated on top of the steps to and from the kitchen and so close other servers bumped our chair. I was very concerned that I might fall backwards down the stairs if I pushed my chair back too much. Overall our dining experience was awesome and we would definitely recommend it to anyone.

This was one of the best seafood restaurants we have ever been to in our travels. The food and service were great!! Would definitely eat here again when we are in Williamsburg...

Order the onion soup, not the bisque. The first is excellent, the second only good. All of the seafood is excellent, but check the specials, particularly if lobster is involved.

Four of us dined, three of us were less than pleased. My meal was the worst and that is what I will address mainly here. My fried oysters were cold, almost black from over cooking, soggy, and tasteless. The steak fries I ordered were a fitting accompaniment, cold, tasteless, and soggy. No coleslaw was served for which I am thankful, based on the other two items. I can't fully explain how terrible this meal was except to say I never have digestion problems but that night I suffered heart burn. Ordinarily, I would have returned the dish, but with two friends dining with us, I just wanted to eat and leave as soon as possible. My wife's crab cakes were tasteless and cold in the middle. I believe many diners have coupons from their hotels which entice them to Seafare. I would advise them to skip this place at all costs.

On the one bright side, the service was very good, the tables appeared to be well spaced, but the place was very noisy until the crowd thinned out after 9PM. We're locals and we'll never return

This was the second visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent on both visits whether the choice was seafood or steak. Cost is comparable with other restaurants of this caliber. Service on the first visit was prompt, while unusually slow on the second visit. I do not know whether the difference was dependent on having different wait staff, or with the kitchen. I will return for dining with special guests who will be impressed with the quality of the food.

The meal for two was Pricey running around $100 for both. Do not mind paying any Price for very good food. The food was good. not exceptional but good, Service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. All in all it was a good experience but have since found a couple other restaurants that I would recommend as five star.

Very disappointing. Bread served was like sweet cake; much too sweet. Blue margarita special ($10) was awful. Much too sweet and a strange combo. Fish was good, but soft, as if it was previously frozen. Service was good, but we would not return for a meal that cost more than $70 and wasn’t that good!

MY FAMILY AND I ATE THERE MANY TIMES FROM ITS OPENING IN 1976 THROUGH THE ‘90S, AND HAD NOT VISITED IN MANY YEARS BECAUSE OF UNRELATED CIRCUMSTANCES...WENT THERE FOR MY WIFE’S BIRTHDAY - SO GLAD WE DID! STILL FAMILY OWNED AND RUN, STILL NOTHING FROZEN, EVERYTHING PREPARED FRESH, PROFESSIONAL SERVICE (WE HAD KATHY, JAMES WAITED ON THE NEXT TABLE - BOTH EXCELLENT). A TRULY FINE EVENING!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area and the food is good, however our dining experience Friday evening was outrageous as we had reservations at 6pm and did not get out for three hours . The evening started our with a waiter that could not speak good English and got our drink choices wrong. We had to wait on each course for over 45 minutes. We complained to manager and he sent over free drinks. We were really ready to leave the restaurant, finally got our bills as we had asked for separate checks, we each got the wrong bill, did not complain and just paid the tab and left.

I hope this service and experience willl not be the norm for this restaurant, we hope to come back again.

Please forward to restaurant

We had a reservation for 5 people at 5.45pm and arrived at 5:41pm. At 6.10pm we were still waiting to be sat. At 6:15pm we asked if we could be split into two tables so we could get sat sooner. The manager appeared to be routinely “hiding” in the back and the lady at the front desk said she could not do anything till the manager got back. They finally agreed to seat us at 2 tables and we got back-to-back booths.

We had 4 servers come by to take our order. Very confusing. Food was okay; nothing special at all.

Manager avoided eye contact since he knew we were not happy.

Will not return to this restaurant.

We were disappointed. We Had dined there several years ago when the meal was delicious. This time we ordered "lump backfin crabmeat " cocktail as appertizer and new england flounder stuffed with "backfin crabmeat". The "backfin crabmeat" was almost tasteless and the flounder was the same. We wonder if the "backfin crabmeat" was suremi.

Went with a party of 8. The space and ambiance was nice. Very well decorated and maintained with beautiful artwork and wood details in the buildings architecture. Food took forever to come after the prompt appetizer delivery. Food tasted good but one of us had to wait and ask 3 times before getting rest of the dinner— which meant the food on her plate got cold before she could enjoy it

We were looking for seafood and found the raw oysters to be very good and the crab cakes excellent. The Long Island flounder was a bit dry. The service by Atium was very good and attentive.

The staff were very attentive and the food was good without being too heavy on spices so you could taste the seafood flavor. The menu didn't mention it, but vegetables were included with the entree.

The food was delicious. My husband has the chilean sea bass which is hard to find a restaurant that prepares it. He said it was awesome. I had the red snapper with the crab meat and it was very good. We LOVED the corn muffins, too. This was the best meal we had during our trip to Williamsburg!

The food and drinks were exceptional. I wasn't that thrilled with our server. She was not as warming. She seemed to be just business oriented and not customer service oriented whereas the other servers smiled more had more of a pleasant personality and friendly. I was taken back as I made reservations and it asked occasion and I put Birthday, however, no one said Happy Birthday. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back.

We took younger cousins for supper. The place was classic and lovely, the food was excellent with many choices, but a bit pricey, especially on drink specials that were small and nothing special. I would go again for the fresh seafood, but I would avoid ordering drink specials, certainly.

The worst halibut I've ever had... extremely dry and overcooked. Not even melted butter could make it taste good.

It was my fault for not telling the server... After I left, I felt I should have sent it back. A chef who respects him/herself would've never sent that fish out of the kitchen. After all, it's a 31-dollar dish! Disappointing experience after such good reviews.

The server was nice and attentive. Wine was good; we had the Pinot Gris. Place is beautiful.
