Service was excellent.
We were in town for the holidays/birthdays, so we decided to dine out for a nice steak dinner. I have everything nice to say about this place. We had an exceptionally wonderful server. Our meal and drinks were fantastic. Keep doing what you’re doing! We will be back!
Nice Thanksgiving dinner. It was really great that they allowed are young teens to eat the smaller portion children’s meal.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner since we were in Breck and wanted turkey (first time dining out for the holiday). The wines were very good, and the turkey dinner was decent. Homemade turkey dinner always seems better. However, my brother and sister got the 8 oz sirloins and both were cooked perfectly - would definitely return for that. Our server was friendly and sweet when we decided to change a couple of things to the order. The price is high, but so is everything in Breck. We left full and happy and overall, it was a great experience!
Excellent food and Service! We had a late dinner on a weeknight. Would go again
Our server was so attentive. He was excellent. The food was very good. A nice experience.
The service and food was excellent. My hubby got the elk and I got a filet. The potions were a little much and we had to take some home. The place was basically empty, but we had dined early. The prices were high, but I thought well worth it.
Steak was very good along with the grilled shrimp. Chocolate creme de pot was excellent. Service by Jessica was outstanding.
Delicious food, attentive staff, great environment.
Wonderful experience. The prime rib was the best I have ever had and the service was amazing. Pat gets 5 stars for service and making a really great dirty martini. Jersey Strong
Had the prime rib. A terrible cut of beef the was cooked badly. Bad combination.
It was Simply ok. And the other time is eaten there two years ago I loved it. The service was fairly poor, no attention to detail, food wasn’t prepared as listed on the menu and dinner arrives with 0 attention to condiments and we had none whatsoever. The oscared steak wasn’t done correctly yet the bill was outrageously high anyway.
I’ll go elsewhere from now on. Oh, and the restaurant was basically empty so being busy is no excuse.
Food and service were excellent. Pretty noisy tonight but not so much that we couldn’t talk. Favorite restaurant in Breckinridge
Calamari was tough and soy glaze salty. 2 of our 4 steaks were overcooked. Took 20 minutes for replacements. Not sure why, only 4 tables being served while we were there. Server was pleasant, manager seemed unaffected by the mistake, but did comp those 2 entrees. Place was strong with the smell from the smoker. We smelled like smoked meat walking out of there. Will not return.
Took a while to get our food to table. One of our steaks was over done and the server was great and got it corrected.
Based on the 4.5 star review on Open Table (I later looked at it only had 3 stars on Yelp), I made a reservation for my extended family of 7. I should have known something was amiss when we walked in and the place smelled like smoke - not cigarette smoke but BBQ smoke. Yes, it is a BBQ joint but I should not leave the restaurant smelling like I spent the night by the campfire. The food was hit or miss. We had a burrata app that was delicious. The crab cakes were ok. My ribs were delicious. The cowboy 16oz rib eye was ok - and didn't seem like it was truly 16oz. The elk flank was ok. Overall, The Salt Creek Steakhouse was ok but our service from Ben was great. With all that said, we will not go again.
Very excited to go to Salt Creek but very disappointed in the menu selections, service and food quality. The ambiance was very bright lighting for dinner. Noise level was okay.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Party of 8. Server/ waitress went above and beyond. She made the experience for our family extra special. She took roof top photos at sunset- her suggestion.
The standout for us at our dinner here was the service - our waiter, I wish I could recall his name - he was really really great - attentive without being overly so, accurate with everything ordered, really nice. My 2 daughters loved him!
We had wonderful rib eye steaks, they melted in our mouths! A great find for a steak lover.
Talipia was ok. BBQ beef was too fatty. Ribs, pulled pork and chicken were very good
We had nice dinner, steak was very good, we were on clean eating diet, so no wine, or bread, just water and steak and vegies that night, but good place to go.
Enjoyed the beef medallions special that was paired well with a Stag’s Leap cab.
Great family meal! Just what we were looking for on our last night in Breck.
If you're looking for a good steak place. This is it. I got the Cowboy Ribeye which is dry aged for 30 days. It was one of the best steaks I've had. Highly recommend it.
Although my steak was cooked medium, not medium rare as I had requested, and the kitchen seemed a little slow (maybe surprised by early diners?), the food was still good and our server was terrific.
Great bbq meats. I loved the favors. My wife had the tips and they were exceptional. Great value for this resort
Great BBQ and steak house. Excellent service. I'd recommend grabbing the pick 2 or 3 meats and make certain one of them are their ribs. Great cocktails and desserts as well. One of the better restaurants we had eaten at in Breck.
The food is really good! Great filets & very tasty bbq. Food came out a bit slow, but worth the wait. Restaurant was slammed & manager was on top of it.
Everyone in our party of 6 loved what they ordered from the ribs, brisket, and prime rib. The servings were large so we took home the leftovers to have later. The drinks were perfectly made by the bartender. We will definitely be back!
We came back for breakfast a few days later and were disappointed. Service was so and the food very average. We won’t be back for breakfast but will definitely come for dinner! We loved the dinners and the smoked meats. Wow!
Went for a family lunch. They were short-staffed and our waiter was new, but still very helpful. The burgers, BBQ, and fish tacos were excellent and the prices were reasonable. The upstairs dining area (for lunch) is a very casual bar/grill setting.
This was our first time here. We had an early dinner and enjoyed some great appetizers, dinner, and drinks. Our drinks, which were made by our server, were terrific. I had the filet and it was cooked perfect. We were well taken care of and our server was fantastic. We will be back the next time in town.
If there is better BBQ in Breck, we haven't found it. Portions are generous and house smoked to perfection. Love coming here.
Great friendly service and food that lives up to the menu description
We were vacationing and like to try new things. Elk was on the menu and that’s one reason we chose this place.
So food and service were great. Erin did a great job. I would have ranked the restaurant higher if not for 2 items; 1) their wine list is way out of date and needs to be updated. makes it a frustrating process for server and diners, 2) since they offer BBQ and smoked meats, the "smokey meats" smell is very obvious and at times a little over bearing (when it interferes with flavor and smell of food and wine). All of our clothes smelled like smoked meats afterwards.
The service was great and the Cowboy Cut steak was very flavorful and delicious. The Cheese Board appetizer was a little lackluster.
Great steak, great service, great ambiance.
The food was great, our server was excellent..five stars all around-the entire meal was YUM 👍
