The Salt Creek Steakhouse
We had a delicious birthday meal for my ten year old son. He wants to go back next year for his 11th birthday
Quaint restaurant with excellent service and a phenomenal Bison Steak.
Will not return or recommend to anyone. Service was poor. Was told a certain soup was not available without bacon. Came to find out bacon was put on at end. Their “specialty” steak was full of fat. They had an $8 plate sharing charge to split a meal. After ordering, they brought out 1 meal and a plate. Was told to cut meal in half for sharing. I arrived with a party of six and almost left without leaving a tip. Server was hesitant about bringing more bread for the table and unfortunately, the bread was the best tasting food item on the menu.
Consitantly good food and good service. We come here every year and are never disappointed.
Chose the Salt Creek as I couldn't get reservations at Briar Rose, I was worried. My worries were wrong. While the ambience is not the same as Briar Rose the food was just as good and the Service was fantastic. Tom D was our waiter, and was very attentive. Burrata salad was great as was the broiled bone marrow appetizers. The dinner rolls were delicious. All our steaks were done perfectly and tasted fantastic. Very nice wine list. Definitely will place this as a favorite on par with Briar rose. Waiter also brought a dessert for my daughter for her birthday!
We have been to the Salt Creek Steakhouse numerous times and have almost always found it to be an awesome experience. Food is excellent, ambiance is very nice, and we a usually have outstanding service. Our last visit was slightly disappointing, as our waitress was very busy with numerous tables. She was very professional and clearly great at her job, she was just too busy to be as attentive as we've grown accustom.
Food was good, service was good, I had the filet medallions with peppercorn sauce..it was good, but pricey.
The pecan apple desert was very good!
Food was delicious and service was prompt! Kids could be loud and no disturb anyone 👍🏻👍🏻
Out server didn’t ask us if we wanted bread but proceeded to give it to everyone else. It wasn’t clear when we substituted sides that there would be an increase in charging. The meat was good but way overpriced for the thickness and quality of the cuts. It cost more than the high end steak houses we’ve been to but definitely not there with quality amount or service.
Our reservation was set for 7:45 but due to 3-4 large parties our reservation was delayed 45 minutes. The host Anthony was very apologetic and comped a dessert. Sean our waiter was very good and very accommodating. The food as also very good...what I thought was going to be a negative experience due to our wait was definitely worth the wait and was a good experience. All was very good and would highly recommend dining at Salt Creek.
Great steaks, nice atmosphere, good prices and friendly staff
Everytime we come ski Breck, we always dine at Salt Creek at least one night. The servers are very friendly, food is good, and the price is reasonable. It has a rustic appearance, western style decor, with good selections of exotic meats. I have high standards for a steakhouse and Salt Creek never dissappoints.
This is the second time we’ve eaten at salt creek! The food was excellent the ambiance and the service! Highly recommend.
Service was good. Food was great. Neat place to visit.
This is an Ok steakhouse and definitely marginal BBQ. We arrived 10 mins early for our 6:30 reservation and ushered upstairs for a drink while some of the visibly open tables were "prepared" for us. Waiving us off an open table was just to get us upstairs to spend more money on alcohol. We ordered only 3 drinks immediately and within 10 minutes our table was ready. However, it took 20 minutes for our server to get 3 drinks before we could go to our table. Frustrating to spend almost 30 minutes upstairs for a round of beers when your hungry. I guess that set the tone for the rest of the evening, although we did have a decent waiter. The steaks were average and the brisket was bone dry. Would not go back.
53 usd for the ribeye (medium size) is expensive.
It’s a good place we use to visit every year.
Fantastic steaks! The aged filet was one of the best ever. Service was friendly and knowledgable. We had a great meal.
Excellent food and service. Lady bartender made a great margarita. Strip steak and BBQ plate were excellent. Tom, our waiter, showed just the right amount of attentiveness, proving great service without being intrusive. Our experience was so good we went back two days later
Bone Marrow appetizer excellent. Steaks had a good seasoning but steak was thin vs thick. Service was fair. Waitress forgot to place appetizer but quickly remedied the situation once she realized it. Heard they have a
good brunch..may try that.
The only thing I would recommend is allowing the purchase of the giant pretzel. I would have bought 2.
Been here a few times. If you are eating at Peak times they have a hard tendency to take about an hour to serve you your meals. Maybe ok with an all adult crowd drinking, somewhat less ok with a family.
Also, for the cost of the meal compared to top steak houses, the steak is average at best. Even my sons thought that...”Ok steak, for Breckenridge”
Very good steaks. Little loud, but overall good food and service.
Wonderful food choices especially for gluten free options. Large portion sizes especially for the salads.
We had a wonderful time, great food and great service!
Loved the food! I had the burrata salad and the tomatoes were amazing not to mention it was in February. The barramundi was excellent! My son and his friends had the filet and enjoyed it immensely!
Bartender had “stress issues”. Our waiter was also frustrated with bartender. Food was good, waiter good, ambiance good and good value . Stick with the place. Don’t be turned off by bar.
Forget the aged spiel on the streaks. They’re not all that and a box of cracker jacks. Ours were just not very good. The wait staff was great and it’s a really nice little place that I’m 99% sure I won’t revisit.
Good food for something a little different Second time we have visited Salt creek.
Nice food, good menu explained well by our server. A bit pricey but if it’s a quality steak you want with great service then look no further.
We had great service. We had a mix of meat lovers for bbq and steak plus a couple vegetarians. There was something for everyone.
Wonderful food and great dessert!! Service was also very good. We saw some mixed reviews about this place, and to be honest I’m not sure why. All around great experience!
The Calimari and Scallop appetizers were very small for the price!
Food was good. Service was very slow and off putting.
My fillet mignon was dry. The cowboy steak was filled with fat. The béarnaise sauce on top of my other sons steak made him ill.
This restaurant is truly overrated in every aspect
Waiter was excellent, very attentive! Did not feel rushed. Restaurant was crowded and very noisy.
Place was cool, service was ok, food was average. I guess I just expected more from a $51 steak.
Great service- good drinks - steak was good, not amazing. Sides and appetizers were fantastic.
We come here every year when we visit Breck, and are never disappointed - service is good, prices are solid for what you get, and the food is always spot on.
We were visiting from Indiana, and our server (Tommy) was so kind and attentive! The food was outstanding. We will make this a stop every time we visit Breckenridge!
