   One of the best dining experiences that we've had in Howard County. The setting, the chef, the waitstaff...all magnificent. The food is creative, beautiful, and delicious. This is our new go-to place.

   The choices of tapas are excellent and the staff is incredible. From the chef/owner Matthew to our favorite server Holly. We always look forward getting out to the place.

   The Rumor Mill is an outstanding restaurant in Ellicott City. Chef Matt prepares creative dishes that you will thoroughly enjoy and the service is excellent.

   This is small plates style dinning, each plate was easily shared among 4 people...the food was so good we ended up ordering more just to be able to taste everything! The specialty cocktails were original and fantastic!

   Food was amazing. Every dish we tried was delicious, including the special dish the family at the next table shared with us. It's a cozy restaurant with a great staff. We will be back!

   Tucked into an alley the Rumor Mill can be a bit hard to find but worth it. The food is imaginative and the portions are adequate for sharing. The pacing of service depends on how crowded the place is- some dishes come too rapidly some take a long time to come out, could use some improvement on that.

   This was our second visit to the Rumor Mill. We went about a year ago and were blown away by the delicious tapas and creative cocktails. It's pretty expensive so we didn't get back for a wile, but I was very eager. This time, the food was still delicious. Our waiter seemed new and struggled with questions a bit. The cocktail menu was less varied, and they were out of the ginger vodka in the item my boyfriend wanted. He tried something else that he didn't like at all (which they did not charge us for) and he asked if the bartender could modify the cocktail he wanted to come up with something similar. They have about a hundred infused liquor so it seemed like a reasonable request. But the answer was no, out of luck. So he ordered nothing. In the end, it was a yummy meal but the total experience was not worth the premium price. I'll definitely try one more time and hope it's a better night.

   Main Street Ellicott City is known for having some trendy restaurants. The Rumor Mill fits right in there in this regard. It serves tapas, and has an interesting selection of mixed drinks that are certainly above average. The food is great, and combines different flavors to good effect. I never thought of scallops and cheese together, but it was delicious. Nor would I have come up with the idea of a rosemary-infused cocktail. But they worked well. The service was above average, and the ambiance quiet enough to have a nice conversation. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

    Very slow service! I gave them a $100 bill and it too them 20 min to finally come back and tell me that they did not have change and that I needed to use a cc. Drinks were very slow to come as was the food. This topped off a bad experience. Bring plastic and be prepared for slow service.
