If perfection exists, then dinner at The Royce was perfection. Environment, ambiance, service, and menu - not a false note. Do not want to recommend too highly as to avoid it being overrun by the masses. What a great place to have had Christmas dinner.

The restaurant was very nice and the Langham was a beautiful hotel. However, for the price of Christmas Pre-fixe menu, I don't believe that the menu reflected the cost paid. The food was very good but not outstanding in my opinion and that is because of the amount of food you get. It is a three course meal with a shared dessert. My husband and I wanted to try the different options on the menu, so we ordered different items to get the full experience. The Prime New York carpaccio was excellent as well as the beet carpaccio. I also think the shaved brussels salad was better than the roasted bone marrow. The ribeye was probably the best value for the price because if the size of the ribeye. I ordered the duck breast and it was definitely on smaller side. The shared strawberry cake roll was ok and fell short from being amazing in my opinion. The restaurant's drink menu was amazing. It would have been nice to get a glass of champagne with the cost of the pre-fixe menu. The service was excellent and it was very much of a family restaurant and good for big groups. The ambiance was not romantic as it was very well lit and a bit loud. Overall, it was a good experience but would probably not do again because of the pre-fixe menu.

First off The langham is beautiful and every staff person at the hotel and the restaurant and the bar was so nice and helpful. Of course, the food at the Royce was outstanding from the complimentary amuse bouche mushroom tea and bread to the amazing loaded baked potato to the perfectly cooked steak. The only problem was i did not have enough room to eat everything! Will be coming back!

I dined with my family who was visiting from out of town at the Royce on 12/20/24 at 6:30 pm. Being this special time of year, we chose the Royce for its upscale atmosphere and exquisite menu. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a series of missteps that were hard to overlook, especially given the high price tag and mandatory service fee. First, the ambiance was undeniably impressive, with a sophisticated design and an intimate setting. However, the highlight quickly faded when it came to the service. Despite the hefty service fee added to our bill, the service was inattentive at best. Our waiter seemed distracted from the moment we were seated, frequently disappearing for long stretches of time, leaving us with empty water glasses and unanswered questions about the menu. It took 30-40 minutes to receive our cocktails. At one point, we had to flag down another staff member just to ask for basic items like bread and butter. Even after making polite requests, it took far too long for the waiter to return to take our order, and when he did, there was no apology for the delays or acknowledgment of the service issues. When the food arrived, the appetizers and sides were beautiful and flavorful, but the lack of attentiveness from the staff really put a damper on the experience. The steaks lacked quality and were not prepared to the way in which we requested. Not once did our waiter ask how we were or what we needed. Never did anyone even check if we were simply enjoying our meal. I had hoped the service would match the caliber of the meal, but it fell short. For a restaurant at this price point, where a service charge is already included for a party our size, I expect much more—especially in terms of attentiveness and overall guest experience. In short, the poor service left a sour note. With so many dining options available, I’m not sure I’ll return—especially when paying such a premium doesn’t guarantee the level of service you'd expect.
