Amazing service, and the staff was very attentive to us throughout our meal.
I absolutely loved this place. We had the Australian wagyu ribeye and the Californian bone in ribeye are one of those and all of the food was a decent however the wagyu completely overshadowed the other stake. We had the Mac and cheese, potatoes and the truffle fries. The potatoes were below average but everything else was great. Service was AMAZING!!! Drinks were good. And absolutely recommend this place.
For the price, Royce is really not meeting other high-end restaurants value-added services and food quality. Really should not have to pay for a potato when you order a $75 to @100 steak. Wine sections are very nice, but prices are way out of line.
Great for a night of fine dining! Everything about this meal was stupendous - food was delicious, and the portions were just the right size. And the service was excellent!
Always a great evening at the Royce...and our server Rennie was great, too!
Had dinner with my Pasadena based adult son, and we were impressed with the superb food. Our server, Charles was kind, patient and knowledgeable about each element of our order, and also the choice of wine. The dining room is elegant, and the table linens, immaculate.
Treat yourself for a special occasion to The Royce.
PS> I had the John Dory fish, and it was perfect, although The Royce is billed as a steakhouse.
We were happy but we noticed the quality of cocktails Nd food was not as excellent as our previous visits
We celebrated my husband’s birthday, and it was excellent from start to finish. We were greeted by the friendliest host. We were seated with a view. Our server Mike was gracious and friendly. We started off with awesome cocktails. The sommelier helped us choose the most excellent bottle of red wine to pair with our meal. Our dessert was delicious as well! We left the Royce with full bellies, content, and happy. Thank you!
Quiet , Private. Hidden Gem in Pasadena. Will return again
All was terrific. My only complaint is that there needs to be an additional Chardonnay by the glass less than $23.
Loved the mushroom sauce with my JOHN Dory
We had a very nice experience celebrating my husband;s birthday. The Assistant Waiter, Hassan, was better than the waiter. he was knowledgeable, informative with a great personality.
Very nice service, kind staff. We were there celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. The level of care and love you receive there is incredible. I totally recommend! They also have a nice event rooms!
All I can say is Outstanding! Great food, excellent service, fantastic setting...
A great restaurant that never disappoints. Five stars all around!
We were set in the cellar room with great ambience and privacy.
I had been to Royce many times before and thought the steak were average. This time the food is excellent: steak meat quality and taste are exceptional.
I would avoid the baked oyster and the bone marrow though. Both have no substance : the oysters were pea size and there were no bone marrow at all under the seasoning. The tomahawk and the ribeye were both exceptional.
We had a birthday dinner there with 4 people. The menu was great and the food was very good. There were two disappointments.
First the chairs were very uncomfortable and I think they know it, because they offered pillows immediately to solve some of the problem.
Second, the wine list was very special, but extremely overpriced. I ordered both a bottle of white and red from the bottom third of the list and it totaled $425! Wow! Both were excellent. There were only a few options under $100 and the average price was probably $300+.
First class service in a beautiful setting. The food was excellent and the tables were separated so noise level was moderate. The wine list is excellent.
Mixing food with value. Good food. Table had no linen no placemats no flower no candle. Ate on hard surface. Dark clothing got white lap napkins. Had to ask for dark napkins
Steaks came plopped on plate, nothing else. Potatoes came overflowing in ramekin hard to serve spilled on table. Creamed spinach too salty to eat. Bread basket was good. Service was good but nothing great. Seemed hurried. O we would not go back. Many exceptional places to eat for the $$$$
Everything is great here. Food is delicious, service is great. ambience is perfect.
Pricey but fabulous. Biggest selection of steaks I have ever seen.
We had the most amazing dining experience ever.
What a fabulous evening! The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. I cannot say enough about this wonderful restaurant.
The staff was very accomodating and gave us a special dessert since it was my husband's birthday and our first time dining there. They checked in on us frequently and gave us lots of recommendations when we had trouble making a decision on food.
Celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary here. Could not have been better food, service, and overall experience. Highly recommend!
The service here is top notch! For a resort restaurant - the staff is amazingly helpful, knowledgeable about food and wine, and accommodating. Husband and I dined here both times during our stay and felt right at home.
Will absolutely return when we visit the Langham, Pasadena again.
For a high end steakhouse it is a very nice hotel.
None of the food was bad (brother's steak and wife's John Dory were both over), but for what you're paying for the service could have been way better.
They couldn't keep track of who ordered what; were very slow clearing the table; forgot condiments and serving utensils...I could go on.
A one time experience.
meat was perfectly cooked, service was great, really nice atmosphere
Was disappointed when we asked for a recommendation of a house red and were surprised when we received the bill that the one the waiter chose was $38.00 for the glass. I feel that he definitely took advantage of the situation. Really left a bad taste in an overall wonderful dinner.
Wonderful . Steak and Lobster melted in your mouth .
The marinated hamachi appetizer, filet mignon and potato puree were all excellent. I ordered the filet "blue" and it came rare (not blue) but that's pretty normal - very few kitchens understand how some people (me) love almost raw steak. The waiter was very nice but service was pretty slow - I was at the table for almost 10 minutes before I got water & bread, then another 10 minutes before someone came by to take my order. Expensive, but if you want a luxurious meal while visiting Pasadena, still very much worth a trip.
Charles was our waiter and he was outstanding. Very diplomatically steered my wife away from ordering her meat too well done, and she was very pleased with the result.
My wife also had the bread pudding for desert - said it was one of the best things she had ever eaten!
Great service. Amazing steak. Nice garden view.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at The Royce. We have been many times to celebrate special events as well as just enjoying dinner with great selections. The service is impeccable and the food is outstanding.
From walking through the doors to paying the check, the service here was first class. The food, atmosphere and service was exquisite. It was my husband and I’s first time and we will definitely be back again soon!
This is just the best place. The best food and always amazing service but maybe most importantly, a lovely happy vibe that is transmitted to their lucky customers. Thanks to one and all. Looking forward to visiting again soon!!!
great experience really enjoyed the whole evening can't wait to go back
The Royce Wood-Fired Steak house served up a spectacular evening of dinning and drinks.
The ambiance and views were amazing as was the entire staff who were not only professionally attentive but some of the friendliness waitstaff I have ever encountered. The house cocktails were seasonally creative and the classics superbly done. We were already in a happy place after the beet salad and crab cake then the Colorado rack of lamb was served... it was outstanding. Trying to find an excuse to get back to Pasadena to dine again!
It was a pretty nice dinner. The restaurant was not too loud.
Well oiled machine under Mr. Chakir’s watchful eye. Matthew was our wonderful server this evening. Cannot recommend the food, service and atmosphere of this establishment enough!
