Excellent Reveillon brunch and lovely jazz trio (quartet?) entertainment!
Went to the Rib Room with friends for a Revillon dinner. Menu selection was great and the quality was awesome. Will definitely go again.
Ordered from the Reveillon menu for dinner. Excellent choices, delicious food, great value, superb service, elegant atmosphere without preteniosness and good wine selection.
Server clueless on gluten free and not very attentive. Said butter had gluten in it. Wasn't very helpful on substitution
Good prime rib, very thick and done right. Good martinis. Good wine. Nice dining room. Nice salad. Overall very good. Lady at front was not as polite as I would have liked, on the phone before we arrived.
Outstanding service, impeccable food, this is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans.
We dined December 12th. The hotel was beautifully decked out for the holidays. We had the chef special which included a prime rib off the rotisserie, with a fruit slaw acccompanied by a baked potato loaded with shrimp and cheese. We sat in a cozy corner at the window. Lovely atmosphere.
Had the Prime Rib from the Reveillon menu. Would avoid that and stick with the conventional. Other than that, lovely as usual.
Loved the food and impeccable service!!! Made me feel special on my birthday!
There are very few restaurants in New Orleans that serve prime rib. Those that do don't live up to the quality that I have experienced in a city like New York. The Rib Room comes the closest. The beef is prime and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The meat is also not tainted with the heavy flavor of thyme and rosemary as a crust. The only criticism I had was the large fat cap and the meat had too much salt around the edges. The French Onion soup au gratin was one of the best I have tasted. The broth was concentrated and rich and not too many bread cubes. All in all, a good meal and I will return for what I consider to be the only decent prime rib in town.
Quiet dinner away from the mad crowds in the French Quarter. Elegant and reserved. Nice to take a moment and experience good old fashioned New Orleans gentility.
I chose to come back for our four year anniversary due to the wonderful experience we had for valentines. However, it was nothing similar. Arriving early, We sat at the bar for 10 minutes without being approached for a drink. We chose to go to our table and the hostess was very nice, congratulating us on our anniversary.
the booth was very dirty and the cushioning was worn sinking into the booth making it not comfortable to dine. We asked to move, but was told we couldn’t. We scooted the table over and sat in a different spot on booth.
We were approached by one server, Sarah, who was very nice. Asked us for a drink order and presented menus. Our drinks were delivered in a timely manner but then we didn’t see our waitress for quite some time. After catching her eye, she came over and when we told we were ready to order she said there was a mistake and our server was Hugo (the gentleman who brought our drinks). She said she would get him for us but before she left we asked what the fish was tonight. She explained snapper and that the chef special came with asparagus. Sarah was professional about approach.
Hugo finally came and when we asked about the fish special he told us it wasn’t snapped but drum and if you wanted asparagus we had to order in addition to the fish, regardless of special or menu item. We ordered the menu fish fish and princess cut prime rib with addition of asparagus. With my salad I was not given a choice of dressing, which is fine. I’m use to having what waiter recommends.
When the food came, the presentation was good with the exception of the prime rib mainly being fat. My wife ate about three bites of her fish and then realized it was raw. Our waiter never came back so we couldn’t tell him so she shared my prime rib and potato. We saw Sarah, our original waitress and showed fish. She took back, Hugo came to table and offered dessert. We asked for check. He didn’t charge us for fish but it was disappointing to say the least.
The Best Prime Rib In Town!!! Excellent Service!!
Mixed drinks mediocre, overly sweet, but potent enough. The people watching us very good from a window seat.
An absolutely wonderful meal. Renee our server made our dinner even better. The prime rib is the best I have ever eaten, and my husband’s filet was perfectly cooked with a truly delicious sauce. Recommend to anyone.
Best food ever.
Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner - everything was excellent!!
Horrible Thanksgiving experience. Made reservations months ago for 6 PM. First thing that the waiter told us was that he had a long day. Who cares? This was my family’s Thanksgiving meal. Never brought bread until prodded to do so. The work staff was mingling with the bar clientele and yelling about a football game because they had brought a tv into the bar. This is one of the best hotels in NOLA. The noise made it a vulgar experience. Workers should know better than to hang it with the paying customers. The hotel experience was wonderful but they should replace the management of the restaurant from the top down. If they wanted to be a sports bar they should have gone to a sports bar.
Thanksgiving dinner—they accommodated us by taking our reservation early—Mom is 87 and in a wheelchair—they were great about getting us a table closer to the front of the restaurant—Renee, our server, was on top of it—memorable dinner!
We had not eaten at "The Rib Room" in a few years so we decided to go there for our pre-theatre meal. The 3 of us shared the 16 oz ribeye and it was done perfectly. We also had the brussel sprouts and asparagus as side dishes were also good. However, the salad that came with the steak had a slight flaw. As I stuck my fork in to grab a piece of salad a long string (twine) came out of the middle of the salad. It looked like the twine that held the lettuce head together had gotten mixed in with our salad. We motioned the waitress to come over and pointed out, in a light way, that "....it seems we have some lagniappe in our salad...". She looked at it and, instead of apologizing and whisking it away, she said "...oh like you get at Copelands..." and then left the table. We were all a bit perplexed. She didn't mention it for the rest of the dinner. Finally, it seems that the restaurant was short staffed because we hardly ever saw a bus person and we had to remind our waitress of our 2nd round of drinks. The restaurant was not full so there must have been a staffing problem to which nobody seemed to be taking responsibility as there didn't seem to be any management checking on tables.
Nice restaurant, great food, great service, but don’t expect to get the points if you book via open table
Best in New Orleans!
We dined like Kings it was absolutely fabulous
Service is wonderful. Prime RI. Is always on point. This place never disappoints!
The food was Impeccable as well as the Service. Our waiter was attentive. The ambience was wonderful.
The staff was exceptional and if you are looking for a great steak or ribs...this is the place to be
It was a very nice experience. The steak was great and our waiter Hugo was awesome, very professional
Been eating here for year and it is always good from Brunch to Dinner.
Fabulous food, great service, good value and beautiful ambience! I highly recommend!
The service, food, and ambience is the best if you are seeking a more quiet and intimate dining experience. Rib Room remains one of the top steak places to go in New Orleans. A true classic.
We had a wonderful prime rib, the chefs special I think. Loved it!
Atmosphere was nice and quiet where we were sitting (not near the bar). Wait staff was attentive. I had the St Louis ribeye which was delicious. The greens were salty and the onion rings lacked seasoning but overall very good. My fiance had the NY strip with a loaded baked potato and creamed spinach. The spinach wasn't seasoned but he managed to eat half of it. I took one bite and was done...lol. Steak was prepared nicely. Would come back for the ribeye and drinks. Be mindful of traffic and parking on Saturday. We went and there were 2 different weddings having second lines in the French quarter so the police kept blocking streets off which made it very difficult to get to and leave this restaurant.
We got a great seat watching the foot traffic but inside in airconditioning. It is upscale but no more expensive than any of the other nice restaurants in NOLA. Also great location. Steak and lamb were amazing. If you are sick of eating spicy everything go here for a break
My experience was perfect start to finish. We had walked past a few days prior and saw an enormous prime rib on someones plate and we had to make a reservation. It was well worth the money because the prime rib as well as the entire meal was immaculate. My family and I truly enjoyed ourselves.
The food was superlative and the staff friendly and efficient making the total dining experience as good as it could be.
We had a wonderful experience. From the time we entered restaurant till we left.
Wonderful atmosphere and food. I would highly recommend.
Nothing special in a town where it’s almost impossible to find a place that isn’t special
Great fancy restaurant. It was perfect for my husband's birthday.
Food was “ok”. Not up to New Orleans standards. Service was bad. Too loud for conversation. Table wobbled. I can’t recommend it
