The Restaurant at Alderbrook
The interior setting of The Restaurant at Alderbrook takes its inspiration from the outdoors with warm colors of chocolate brown and sage green representing the gardens and lawn of the resort. Floor-to-ceiling windows and multi-levels amplify views of the brilliant shore and snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains.
The cuisine showcases local seafood harvested from Puget Sound and Hood Canal. After all, our shores are encrusted with oysters, our docks lined with mussels, and our sea teems with salmon.
Alderbrook Resort is following all WA State Mandates including, but not limited to:
All businesses are required to make their customers use cloth face coverings when interacting with their staff.
Any permitted indoor dining is limited to members of the same household and parties of five or fewer.

Michelle was amazing! She was so friendly and attentive.
We enjoyed our short Covid getaway. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Hash browns and northwest omelette were awesome and enjoyed room service for a couple meals as well.
Wonderful birthday dinner with my husband and my parents
Nice place with view of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains. Simpler menu in covid times, but delicious. People are friendly and tables are well spaced.
It was ok with the weather the way it was. The warm blankets helped. Wish we were inside.
We had a wonderful time. Always a nice experience. Thank you
We have eaten here many times and stayed at the resort. Wonderful place to visit. We went to support the staff before the lock down.
We ate a number of meals at the restaurant. The service was universally excellent. The food was quite delicious. The waitstaff were very cognizant of covid restrictions and adherent to mask usage !!
I wish I was there now. I am back in Seattle at work. I am a doctor and it is definitely a tough time now!
Made what I thought were early dinner reservations at 4pm to celebrate my wife's birthday. Upon arrival, we were seated in the bar area and the only food items available were from the restaurant's bar/snack menu; a limited dinner menu would not be available for another hour. Had I known this was the case, I would have made reservations either later or at a different restaurant.
The wait staff was very polite, expressing the protocol of mask wearing while seated when the waitress attended to our table, which we agreeably accepted. But, this protocol was not enforced by other patrons in the bar area, nor were other patrons complying with the same mask wearing requirements.
It was wonderful!! Our server was awesome. Food was delicious and the room was perfect. Thank you so much!!
Wonderful views, food, and service. All COVID protocols carefully followed.
The restaurant and resort just installed new advanced virus filtering HVAC system, as well as wheeled over a stand alone suitcase sized virus air filtering device near our table, and there were other such units around the restaurant. Social distancing was strictly enforced with both table spacing and servers not approaching the table unless everyone was masked. Hand sanitizers, disposable menus and other precautions were all in place. Prior to eating we had drinks outside by the fire pit which is now sheltered from the weather and has additional large space heaters to keep warm, we could have chosen to eat our meal outside however it would come all at once in take out containers so we decided to make a reservation and eat inside. Reservations are required with phone number, even though we were only people eating inside, so that they can keep track of guests for purposes of contact tracing. All-in all it felt very safe, however seeing the extreme care and seriousness brought to dining during a pandemic - where the business is not just doing things for 'show' but taking it deals serious - did make us question our choices to eat out socially, if this is what it takes to keep staff safe maybe we should reconsider our priorities and privilege..
Anniversary
The service was excellent, the food was delicious. No complaints....will visit again for sure!!
We loved celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary here!! The food and service was amazing (16oz steak!),the atmosphere was amazing, the staff was very careful concerning covid... We will be back!
Everyone was very nice. The restuarant was clean and has a beautiful view of the water and beach front. The food was cooked in a reasonable time and tasted delicious. Masks are required basically the whole time unless eating or drinking which was not a problem.
Great food and very thorough COVID protocol. Friendly and efficient servers, food and drinks were fantastic.
The ribeye was cooked perfectly! Definitely recommend coming hungry.
We had 2 meals here during our stay, one dinner and one breakfast. The food was delicious. Service was excellent. We especially appreciated the extra care taken by all with regard to social distancing and wearing masks. Diners and staff were very safe. Alderbrook Resort is taking safety for all very seriously. We highly recommend them for this reason.
Food quality was excellent. However, a 20% service charge is being added to every order reportedly due to COVID. For that extra 20% you get less service and are required to put a mask on whenever a server apporaches the table. I will not be going back until the level of service returns to normal.
Always amazing food and drink!
Really great place for a special occasion. Amazing staff, delicious food and great COVID precautions in place and being followed.
The resteraunt was beautui/ food amazing. I am a firm believer in wearing masks... however our server made us put our masks on everytime she approached the table. And she kept coming back. It was very annoying to be enjoying your expensive meal
And half to slap your mask back on. I was so so disappointed.
A perfect dining experience! Our server was charming and helpful. We had a lovely table next to the window overlooking the beautiful Hood Canal. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. We would go again in a heartbeat.
It was my birthday and it felt good to go out somewhere. All Covid protocols were in order, they ask you to wear your mask whenever your server comes to your table, which we did. We ordered champagne and shared the 16 oz ribeye and wedge salad. The food was fabulous. A delicious chocolate truffle dessert was served complimentary for my birthday. It was a great night out.
Their safety practices during this coronavirus era made me feel very comfortable and I enjoyed a relaxed dining experience. Thank you Alderbrook!
Excellent coronavirus safety measures. Great food, service and lovely setting. Servers were great and no unnecessary take about the virus. A good escape away from home.
Always enjoy eating there! Great views and great food!
Had the fish and chips and eggs benedict. Both were great. Covid proceedures were strongly followed, so we felt safe. View of the canal was spectacular, and it was nice and quiet.
The food used to be better. Service is sooooooo slooooooow. We dined in the restaurant three times during our stay & got take out once. I cannot understand why the service is so ridiculously slow, considering how few patrons (like 2-3 other tables in the entire place). Mediocre food.
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the resort, and ate at the restaurant for dinner both nights, and brunch one day. The food is very good, and the service impeccable. I appreciate all that Alderbrook has done to try to maintain high standards in these difficult times.
We had an absolutely lovely celebration dinner. Great variety on the menu, all was delicious. We especially loved the vegetable tempura appetizer! Amazing. We had salads to start and steak for dinner. All really good. Our lovely waitress finished our three our dinner with a special birthday flourless chocolate cake!
The service was wonderful. The food was great and came out quickly. Beautiful views of the hood canal. The resort grounds are stunning
The food is always excellent, but a little pricey. They charged $25 to open a bottle of wine that we brought. That seemed a bit high. Otherwise, it was a great dining experience.
I appreciate Alderbrook's attention to COVID protections across all levels of service, while still serving up a great meal. Thank you. Makes dining out feel comfortable.
Excellent eggs Benedict, great service, and a beautiful view!
Great scenic place to eat, good brunch, one of favorite places to go.
Overcooked steak, no kale as advertised in salad mix. Long wait for food- no reason. Terrible wait service.
But fantastic clam chowder. So minimize your expectations for a fine dining experience- go for a casual cup/ bowl of chowder and the view.
Joan, our server - was most excellent - many thanks to her for making our visit fun!
The hamburger is subpar and not worth the price or the establishment. I would encourage you to experience the hamburger at Devoted Kiss Cafe in Gig Harbor, WA - this is a simple, yet elegant and most satisfying hamburger/meal.
Also - your french fries are most excellent.
Thank you,
Dave
Had one of the best ribeye I've had in a long time, and served by a wonderful server Alisha.
