   As usual the food was very good and service solid. Prices have gotten to a level that drops overall to a 4. Dinner was $150 per person with no aps and 2 drinks each

   As a partially disabled person recovering from major surgery, no one (hostesses, waiter) seemed to care about accommodating us at a table. They put our party at a high chair table which was painful for me. Even though the waiter saw me standing up, he didn’t care. He was ready to give us food for take out rather than making an attempt to reseat us. Not going back to this restaurant. They lack empathy and common sense

   The experience is relaxing and the food delicious. We enjoyed the cheese plate, Caesar salad, lobster bisque, filet, mashed potatoes, and crème brûlée. Our service was excellent!

    We made a reservation but had to wait 20 minutes while the table was prepared. We waited 10 minutes to get waters. Drinks from the bar took 15 minutes to arrive and a soda didn’t show up until we were almost done eating. Food was moderate. Not worth the price. We both had the chicken fried filet which had little meat and was overall bland. Mashed potatoes were clumpy. It felt that because we did not order the most expensive cut of meat, that we were not as important as other tables. Would much rather spend money at Casa Do Brasil. I do not recommend.

    This is one of the best steakhouses in Texas for food, service, and ambiance. It’s been consistently great for the past 4 years. They also have hands down the best bourbon selection of any restaurant we’ve ever been at.

    Excellent food with great service. Quiet setting even though it was a full house. The most tasty pork chops and oysters. But 2 of the 5 in our group are gluten free and there are not enough gluten free options. And no desserts offered except fruit & ice cream.

    What an evening. Made a reservation for 8pm on Friday and we were seated right away. Great booth. The service was very attentive from our Heather. She was awesome. Food was superbe. We had a great evening for my birthday. I will be back.

    This was our first time at the new location. Dark and mysterious! Certainly causes a sense of relaxation and escape. Michael our server was excellent all around. We all had beef filets--one was the raw version. All enjoyed. We also had a couple bottles of Spanish Tempranillo, Riber del Duero--which we really enjoy and appreciate the reasonable price. ($47 I think). My appetizer was the Tuna Tartare--large and delicious--shared by a couple others. One small suggestion: The chips you use break too easily. I would suggest another sturdier version of chip. I have had the dish elsewhere, and their chips are sturdier. Much thanks Cathy Loving

    Celebration of completion of another Corps school year by Jake Carter, newly elected Junior Yell Leader, as as well as his twin sister Maddie. Jake and his family are new, first generation Aggies and have developed a love and appreciation of all that our great school offers. I have been blessed to celebrate with them the past two Final Reviews and will continue to do so in the future. Republic Steakhouse is our venue of choice and is my favorite restaurant on the planet. Great food, great ambience and a whisky wall second to none. We were served by Cade who did a great job! This is THE place to eat in CSTAT. If they don’t have a bourbon you are looking for, it can’t be had. We partook of a couple of great ones. I have celebrated here with current students, family and a decorated Marine Corps veteran. My son-in-law chose this place to ask for my daughter’s hand in marriage. Republic is a place worthy of the finest characters our country can produce. It’s about as American as you can get. NEVER, EVER change. We all need things that are constant in our lives. Republic bolsters my hopes for the future of our country. God bless the owners and staff who bring this place to life for all of us.

    We were celebrating a cadet promotion-from a freshman to a sophomore. There was a horrible storm-so we arrived early and had a drink at the bar. Staff accommodated. Bartenders were fast. We were seated a few minutes early. Waiter listened and made suggestions. Appetizers, and entrees came out in a timely manner. Food was well prepared and tasty. Sides were large and should be shared as suggested by the waiter. Desserts and coffee were spectacular.

    Couldn't have been more pleased! Best bourbon selection you will ever find, and the food is incredible as well! Ask for Jeff to take care of you. Super knowledgeable with anything on the menu and all of the bourbons. Great experience all around! Don't forget to check out the Tapas place next door for some amazing cocktails as well!

    An overrated steakhouse. It’s probably the best in their town so if your local maybe this does it for you.I think it was average the food was reasonable but not remarkable, the pricing wasn’t too bad. It’s nothing I need to go to round two. The dessert was unimaginative but passable, in the end it wasn’t memorable and I could have gone somewhere else and been happier. Not recommending it. And if you have read my reviews you know I usually complimentary sorry I just couldn’t do it on this one.
