Perfectly cooked filet mignon, delicious sides and perfect wine pairing.
The prime rib never disappoints....
Great food only thing I would complain about I asked fir a white wine didn’t expect it you be almost $20 a glass next time I’ll ask for the wine list
Everything was great but lobster soup was too salty and crab cakes were dry. But the other food was very tasty
My husband is a very discerning foodie and he says this is the best prime rib he ever had. Transcendent.
Food was good old-fashioned steak restaurant. The Caesar salad would be better if it had authentic egg-based dressing and the choice of anchovies. Servies was a tiny slow but friendly. I'll give them a break. It was restaurant week. Not entirely sure it's worth the value. Still, I'd go again.
Wonderful as always! Obviously, there's no place that matches the elegance of the decor, but the food never disappoints and the service is impeccable. We are fortunate to have a restaurant like this still here. If you happen to get a reservation during Restaurant Week, it is probably the best deal anywhere!
You can't improve on such a wonderful classic dining experience.
Our dinner was. outstanding! The food was perfectly prepared and the service was excellent. While at some high end restaurants, the server can come across as "stuffy;" that was definitely not the case at The Prime Rib. Our server was very professional and made us feel comfortable. A really superb dining experience.
great atmosphere. a true baltimore scene. food was tasty...not very different from other steakhouses. enjoyed my birthday meal though!
I was there during restaurant week and the menu was excellent. The portions were great (not smaller due to restaurant week) and the service was excellent.
Baltimore's Prime Rib restaurant is my husband's favorite. He has taken many clients there. The pictures are interesting Art Deco in style. The service is outstanding, and the food is to "live for!" We dined there for Baltimore's restaurant week. You just can't beat the 3-course meal for a set price anywhere! We split everything from the appetizers (tomato bisque-delicious and house salad) to the main entrees (petite filet Mignon--buttery smooth and crab imperial-full of large lump crab meat-and delicious) to dessert (key lime pie and chocolate mouse pie). Live piano music adds to the ambiance! Our thoughtful and attentive waiter, Aaron, brought the food piping hot and already divided for our convenience. The bread was warm, crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. We also love that The Prime Rib offers complementary valet parking. That is the icing on the cake that makes this inner-city fine-dining restaurant accessible in additional to being affordable. Thank you for a lovey evening and we will return this Friday for an encore dinner.
Foods are very delicious. Environment is quiet and romantic. The service is also supreme.
The Prime Rib is a timeless classic, reliably elegant and delicious. The decor, the menu, the service, the live jazz piano, everything is a throwback in the best sense of the word.
I went with a gift card, service was wonderful, they keep the place dark but it's for the ambiance. Live music when I went, a pianist and sometimes cellist. The food was great except for the creamed spinach, it had a strange addition of nutmeg which my friend tells me is an older preparation of the dish which is fine, just not my taste. All in all a great place for a special occasion.
The food was great, and Tim (our server)took great care of us!
Consistently, always a wonderful experience. Great food, service and ambiance.
Restaurant week is such a deal at the Prime Rib.
Have the filet and add crab - you won't be disappointed.
We went during Restaurant Week and what a wonderful deal for the quality of food. Best steak in Baltimore and they had wine specials for Restaurant Week as well. Even when it's not any specials going on, this is a great restaurant.
The atmosphere is great. It’s a great place to go for fine dining. I love the main course - crabe, though the potato is not well mashed and the creamy spanich is too heavy.
The food is incredible and you can’t beat restaurant week prices. We’ve tried all the “places you HAVE to try” and every time my husband and I ask ourselves why we didn’t go back to the Prime Rib. There isn’t a restaurant in Baltimore that touches this place! It’s perfection every time!
We will always have the Prime Rib. Waiter Mr Aaron is a national treasure. Cannot wait to drum up an excuse for returning to luxury.
I have been going to The Prime Rib for over 45 years and it never disappoints. Going during restaurant week is a real value. If you like prime rib I have found none better.
Went here for a special night. Sam was awesome. Dan the bartender had great recommendations as well. Exactly what I had hoped it would be. Will be back.
The atmosphere was great, the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Definitely worth visiting.
I had the Prime Rib "Rib-eye," which was outstanding. This place is not cheap, but it is very good. They go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience.
Always the top of my list........there are many steak houses, but none compares to the food, service and ambience ot the Prime Rib.
Best special occasion restaurant in Baltimore. The service was excellent and the food was O’mazing.
We got a coupon in the mail for the Prime Rib and decided to make a date night of it expecting a retro vibe but modern steakhouse meal. What ensued was an overpriced time warp from 1982. The room was windowless and dark. Service was on plates that were chipped and seemed out of a college dining hall. The steak was properly cooked but under-seasoned. Lobster soup was devoid of meat and seemed as it it was percolating in a carafe in the back for any rube unfortunate enough to pay through the nose for it. I ordered surf and turf at the market price and was gouged to the tune of $90 for a small filet and lobster tail. The fact that this place is still open is a sign the dining scene in Baltimore still has far to go.
Absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
There nite before NY Eve - quiet - excellent service.
The prime rib was out of this world which we always expect! The Greenberg potato skins were absolutely delicious! The service was wonderful . The evening couldn’t have been any nicer!
A fabulous meal with outstanding service. Cannot wait to return.
Cant order steak from anywhere else. Everything was melt in your mouth perfect.
Absolutely the best of the best. Forget Mortons' or Ruth Chris. This has it all. Food absolutely above top notch. The waiter was ol' school and very nice and accommodating. Prime Rib (hence the name) was so perfect, I couldn't have made it at home any better. Share the potato, it's about 2 pounds on its own.
Outstanding meal as always!
First time in over 20 years that our food was not good. Steaks were tough, Prime Rib fatty and sides were cold. But love the atmosphere & staff.
By Far, the BEST restaurant in Baltimore. The food is second to none and the bar is a Great place to have a pre-meal cocktail. The Crab Cakes are a VERY GOOD choice. I have been going to the Prime Rib for over 25 years and have never been disappointed with any aspect!!
The service is always wonderful. The prime rib was very good, juicy and tender. We also tried the special which was the Cajun New York strip. Very flavorful! I actually enjoyed that a bit more than the prime rib. The sides left me a little less than impressed. Had the grilled artichoke hearts which were lacking much flavor, and the potatoes as gratin. My mother loved them, they seemed a bit more on the scalloped side than au gratin to me. The crime brûlée was good, a bit creamier than I’m used to but good. Drinks were tasty but for the money, we left there without even being able to feel them. Definitely some expensive mixers! My mom loved the real cherry in her drink! She sacrificed the second one for me, it was really tasty!! We also had a bottle of wine. Over all, I’m sure we will be back but we will book reservations much sooner as 4:30 was the best time slot still available a month in advance!
We love the Prime Rib and they excelled in all categories during our latest dinner on December 23rd. The 20’s clubby Art Deco vibe is fun and sophisticated. As for the food, the prime rib was fabulous- the best you can get. Happy that we are local - it is our special event place of choice.
