The Prime Rib Steak
28 oz. Bone-In Ribeye
Jumbo Lump Crab Cocktail
The food wasn't as good as it used to be. It wasn't as seasoned and the lobster wasn't fresh.
My husband and I have been patrons of The Prime Rib for 45 years! Never a disappointment! It is simply the best!!
It's always a treat to dine at the Prime Rib. For a special occasion or just a fun time, the restaurant always delivers the best food, service and experience in Baltimore.
Always excellent. My favorite restaurant.
Prime rib is their specialty. Both of our cuts of meat were awful. The waiter got us new cuts that were not much better. The knives they provided were totally unsharp and therefore we could not cut through the rarer portions of the meat and could not cut off the fat portion. Very pricey restaurant with inferior food. A totally disappointing experience.
In addition, Open Table only offered us a 5:00 reservation for the Thursday night. When we left 2 hours later, the Prime Rib was never more than half-full. Why only one time offered?
We had a similar experience with Open Table with Gertrudes the day before, when O.T. only offered us a 1:30 lunch reservation. We just showed up at our preferred time of 12:00 and the place was empty... literally 50 tables available. Why is Open Table only offering garbage times? We will never use Open Table again, but just call the restaurant directly.
As always, a wonderful dining experience. Great service, food, and ambiance.
Best food ever. !! Everything was great!!!
We had a wonderful time celebrating our fifth anniversary. The ambience was great. They surprised us with a celebratory dessert. Thanks for making it special!
Overall, one of the best if not THE BEST restaurant in Baltimore. Very classy, excellent food and great selection. A bit pricey but well worth it based upon the ambience, professional wait staff, quality and overall experience.
My boyfriend and I went to The Prime Rib for his birthday dinner and had an amazing experience. The vibe was romantic, the live music was beautiful, and our server Bobby was amazingggggg! He was so full of energy and really made our experience perfect. One of the best servers we have ever encountered. We will definitely be going back.
Top notch place. Hard to get the level of food and service this high every time we go
It was my birthday and I was greeted in that manner. the food was great, in fact my wife filet was the best she has eaten in a very long time. heck even the bread was tasty. all in all it was a lovely meal and expectance. much better that what we usually do (Morton's, Ruth Chris, Flemings )
Delicious food, experienced waiter and lovely atmosphere equal a wonderful experience!
This is a classic, old-fashioned - but not stuffy and not "old" feeling - steak house. The waiters know what they're talking about, the service is attentive and perfect timing. The food was delicious, as I had a gorgonzola crusted filet; my guest had the "full cut" prime rib - the restaurant's signature offering. We started with crab cakes and shrimp cocktail - delicious as well. The house wine complemented the meal nicely. It's pricey (the full cut prime rib goes for $75), and I've had a few better meals for what it cost here, but you can't go wrong and it's definitely a client-pleaser if you're on an expense account.
Food was amazing. Service was outstanding. Wait time for food to table was average. Overall, I would visit again.
Everything was exceptional! We had a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter was delightful.
They are clearly shot staffed. And a celebratory order of their original full prime rib is impossible to cut through the attached tendons and fat, and the meat almost as hard to chew . After years loving this place - I’m done .
We selected The Prime Rib to rendezvous with a remote colleague for her last day of work since it was near Washington, DC and not too far from NJ. When we stepped into the room, it is reminiscent of what elegant, fine dining in a traditional steakhouse use to be. Our server, Robert, was amazingly attentive, friendly and fun. Excellent classic cocktails and wine list. The prime bone-in ribeye, perfectly prepared medium rare, melted in your mouth. We added a crabcake for a surf and turf experience. My colleague ordered the prime rib signature cut which she enjoyed very much. Dessert, especially the key lime pie, was so satisfying. This is the original, family-owned location founded in 1965. Treat yourself!
We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary at The Prime Rib and it was everything! They nailed it from the time we arrived until we left! Bravo!!
Outstanding, as usual. Bob took care of us, and was incredibly polite and attentive. He went above and beyond to provide the best hospitality possible. Pianist was excellent, and played Art Blakey's "Moanin'", among other tunes. Lump crab cake, bone-in ribeye, mashed potatoes and Basque cheesecake were all impeccable. Not my first trip here, and it certainly will not be the last.
It’s was phenomenal!!!
Can you bring back the previous mushrooms? Dinner was great as usual and I’ll be back again. And again. My hope is that they don’t forget what has made them an institution and start changing menu items and reworking existing ones as they did the mushrooms. The Prime Rib is a gem.
The ambiance is lacking. I understand it’s the Original Prime Rib and is popular for its 1940’s flair. But my service dinner plates made my dinner unpleasing to the eye. The plates are faded and awful. The carpet has a very dusty damp smell. I felt like I was about to attend my funeral. If this is old school glamour they missed the mark.
I’ll try the newer Prime Rib at the
Casino. I have to do a redo of Celebrating my Birthday.
Classic food in a classic setting. Meat cooked perfectly. Great cocktails and wine options.
The staff, especially Mark are exceptional you always feel like family
A classic Baltimore spot.
Great dining experience. Food was amazing. Will return.
Everything was fabulous. The server Bradley gave us the most attentive service. Every detail was addressed. A wonderful meal.
The Prime Rib never disappoints. They have remained true to their original mission statement of providing an excellent meal, outstanding and comfortable service in a great atmosphere. They had great live music that served as background but did not interfere with conversation. Perfect night out.
Anniversary dinner was amazing! Thank you Bradley!!
Outstanding food, very quiet setting and excellent service.
Solid, but not outstanding
Always enjoy the live piano playing
Disappointed in the signature cut prime rib. Bradly, our server happily substituted lamb chops! Clams casino, wedge salad, signature and filet mignon were delicious. Grilled asparagus were not fresh and dried out on the ends. Somewhat disappointed. I realize it is difficult to enforce a dress code, but having a meal at a 5 star restaurant while trying to avoid looking at overexposed breasts, derriere cheeks and ripples of back fat on scantily clad women with electric blue and hot pink wigs is not my idea a fine dining.
Incredible dining experience. Our waiter Bob was a professional, and the steaks we ordered were top notch. Very reasonably priced as well considering the elite quality.
Our favorite restaurant in Baltimore but it has gotten too expensive.
Lovely - awesome service, delicious dinner! Miss going to this very fabulous restaurant!!!
Very chilly in the room - air conditioning blowing cold. Remember to bring a wrap to ge warm!
Always top notch at The Prime Rib.
We had a delightful evening! Expertly made cocktails at the bar with great live music, and a fabulous Dinner with all of our favorites! Potato skins and the namesake Prime Rib with fresh horseradish! This restaurant will exceed your expectations!!!
They say everything is good and everything was good
