The food was great. They had a table waiting for us. More of a casual place. They have a good size bar but a restaurant quality menu. Parking is tough because of location but still a great place to go.

We live in the neighborhood and had eaten here once many years ago. I can’t recall why we never returned but we tried it before the movie at the Rialto the other night. It was actually a very pleasant experience. Our server was excellent. The menu is huge , which made me a bit nervous, but everything we had was really good and fresh . We were very pleased and since a neighborhood -y place we loved and frequented closed a while back we were on the lookout for another place as our go-to casual eatery.
It was a bit noisy as it was packed and it maybe could use a little sprucing up but overall it really fit the bill. Lots of wine choices and a decent size pour. 2of us had the chicken pot pie, excellent and I had the wedge salad with grilled shrimp also very nice. There is a wood burning oven. The roast chicken looked terrific. It’s a menu that goes from A-to Z so no problem finding something . It was super crowded with people going to the movies so I would suggest a reservation to make sure you get seated. It’s that kind of place... popping in for good food even several times a week. Thanks, The Point for a very nice experience! See you soon!

First visit and won’t be our last! We had a great dining experience at The Point at Glenwood. The food was great! We tried several appetizers - all very good. Build your own pizza, fish wrapped in parchment paper and a wood fired steak. The wait staff was very attentive, food was prompt and prepared properly. Great experience!

Food, wine, and service were all excellent. It was a bit loud for my taste but I think it was a bit busier than usual tonight for some reason. I will most definitely go back.

Our group enjoyed the atmosphere, loved the menu options, the food was very good and service was great!

We originally made reservations for 7 people. We called that day to increase it to 10 and they were very accommodating. We then called back and asked if we could increase to 14. We were told they were going to be full and unfortunately, they couldn't do a table for 14. When we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised that they had a table set for 14 of us! It was great because our plan was to just split up and have some of our party sit at the bar . .we didn't need to. Would definitely recommend!

The brunch was nice, but some of the food was cold and seemed like the staff was not entirely prepared when they opened. The person on the omelet station was yelling and cursing and stating he does not get paid enough to do this. I would try time again once they have worked out all of the kinks.

Took a group of 9 to the Point on 11/5. included my two sisters and their spouses who had never dined there before. Everyone was amazed at the expansive menu and all were pleased with the food selection. Great place to go and be sure there is something to suit everyone's taste. Great service, food was delivered as soon as it done in the kitchen. No matter what I order I always get the side spinach salad with the warm bacon dressing...yum.

The Point is one of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh. Am SO blessed, as I live in the neighborhood; your restaurant is as conveniently located as imaginable and a very
special place for me to visit. It is so friendly; love the ambiance, which has such a cozy
vibe; and the outdoor seating is marvelous, too.
One of my favorite 'outings' is to dine at your restaurant, enjoy the upbeat atmosphere and thereafter see a film at The Rialto. Pretty neat, if you ask me.
You also have a wonderful, diverse menu from which I can easily select a meal and maintain
my weight loss regimen as well. The food is always excellent and the service is superb. Your
restaurant is such a fun place to dine. So grateful for your presence in my life. Thank you, thank
you, thank you.

I was pleasantly surprised. You would be hard pressed to find something that you didn't like on the menu. It offers absolutely every type of food you can think of except asian food (maybe it does and I didn't notice). Even homemade Chicken Pot pie! Tasty and delicious with large servings. I normally don't write reviews because there's rarely anything special to write but I would definitely go back. I don't think I would ever be disappointed. And I'm picky!

On a Tuesday evening, we decided to try a casual restaurant in a trendy location where we had visited another bistro nearby . Although the mahi-mahi, fish and chips, hush puppies and cocktails were very good, we were disappointed that the surroundings did not justify the prices nor did the splashy add in a popular local magazine reflect what we found.

Waiter was very curt and missing when we were looking for bill.

Table was not the cleanest.

Wifes steak was very fatty and not cooked correctly so we had to return to kitchen which we never do.

My fish tacos were just OK

There are defintly better places to go

Took a couple we dine out with every month or so to the Point on 7/29. Other couple had not been there before. Everyone got something different and all really enjoyed it. Spinach salad with bacon dressing was outstanding as was the desserts. With a large menu to cater to all taste and consistently good service the Point is a good choice to satisfy a group. Good quality and plentiful portions.

We were excited to finally try out The Point but came away very disappointed. The menu is very expansive and they had lots to choose from. One thing that caught my eye was the Reuben sandwich. The menu said this about the sandwich " Piles of corned beef, Jarlsberg swiss cheese, saur kraut, and thousand island dressing on artisan rye bread, cooked to gooey perfection in our wood-fired oven. (No sides with this monster except a pickle.)". Sounds good for $13 with no sides it should be a 'monster'. What came was literally four thin slices of corned beef that didn't even fill the large piece of rye bread, a few tablespoons of sauerkraut, and all on rye bread that had one side close to burnt while the other side had no toasting at all. FAR from a monster 'cooked to gooey perfection'. I called over the waiter and asked if this scrawny sandwich usually looks this way and his reply was 'yep, that's how it comes'. I had a Reuben just three days earlier at a local sandwich shop that included a side, TWICE the meat, and properly toasted for $8.95. The rest of our party had food that was mediocre at best. Salads with fish and chicken and a cheese steak that was TWICE as big as my 'monster' AND had a side of fries. He said it was average, maybe a little below. We only had our waters filled up once while we there and no iced tea refills were offered. Overall the place seemed like it could be a good place, but a menu that is clearly not focused, cooks that need to be trained, and service that is VERY sub-par, I will take my food dollars to many other places in Raleigh. Overall, this is NOT A RECOMMENDATION to go here.
