About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Good for special occasions
  • Kid-friendly
The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

Not like it was a year ago. Chicken was swimming in the sauce.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and server!! We are big fans of The Pink House in Savannah, and we were just as pleased with our entrees here. Our party tried the pork tenderloin dish, delicious!!: The filet mignon was good and prepared to our specifications. The seared tuna was done properly, and the fried chicken dish came with robust, meaty pieces.. Our server was attentive. We got seated right at our reservation time. The desserts did not disappoint! They also had a few mocktail options. Our server worked hard to customize the beverage to one of our party's specific tastes. He was not put out at all, and we were really happy he was so friendly. I was concerned that because The Pirates House was a touristy restaurant, it would be expensive fast food. It was certainly not, and I was pleasantly surprised! We loved the historical significance of the restaurant. 5 stars all the way across!

My husband brought me to The Pirate House for dinner tonight to celebrate my birthday. Everything was amazing!! Tom was our server and he was professional and attentive. The food was incredible! The filet mignon was tender and cooked to perfection and the pecan fried chicken was moist and delicious. Chocolate cake for dessert was perfect!! Great restaurant that should not be missed. Highly recommend!!

The food was great. My husband's salmon was a bit bland, but the rest of our food was phenomenal. Great atomosphere and history in this place, the food was the bonus. Our waiter was super friendly and very knowledgable about the history and got to know all his tables.

The food was okay, the service was great, plenty of parking, it was very loud. Just not what we were expecting. We were expecting more formal, quieter, and little better lighting.
